Today - may 13,2025 ...... I have been going to this nail salon for many years. Today I came as a walk in and asked for an appointment. They told me originally 12:20 but they had a cancellation and I came in early. I assumed I was going to be get my nails done by my original tech -Tin. Who usually has been very kind. I asked for a black French with two blinged out French nails. When I arrived at the shop I got placed with the STORE OWNER. Thinking nothing of it i assumed they had the same level of work. During the appointment I realized that I didn't like how my nails were coming out but at last point she was almost done when I realized. Once I left I called to speak with the man who originally does my nails. I even affiod to even repay the same price, for the inconvenience of not speaking up. While I was talking to the gentleman, the owner of store was screaming and hollering at me. (As a store owner is that very professional to speak to clients in front of other clients that never NO NEVER ) I even asked why was she screaming at me and if I was another race they wouldn't have acted the way she acted. And they even agreed. I go back to store and kindly ask if the gentleman can redo my nails because I am graduating from college on Friday 5/15. Her pride was so hurt that she banned from the store because I didn't like her work. She at least gave me a refund. I would not come to this store!!! All they care about is money and not about the care of the clients or their product! If you are a store owner you should care about the quality of service to your clients and not worried about your ego being hurt. I added an inspiration picture and the product. It was a fill and the original set was done there too by tin the only person who actually keep up to date with the latest style . You can see gap between the fill . The French looks horrible and the bling French is quite disgusting .... This is the quality of work the store owners provides YIKES .... Got a French mani (ANC) and pedi (regular polish). Overrall I feel pretty underwhelmed. I spent over $100 (including tip). I should've been sauntering out of the shop on cloud 9. When I was "all set". I had to get my nails refiled by the manager, because my ANC was so uneven. The manager was nice and tried to translate for me with my tech. He had a bit of a car salesman vibe though. My mani and pedi don't match. The base on my hands is a lot lighter than my feet. I'm glad I spoke up as much as I did but I guess I should've spoken up even more. I don't think I'll be back. read more

Really great decor and super clean. I've been here a few times before but service is very inconsistent in terms of the quality of nails. I'm very happy with my pedicure but I got gel polish this morning on my finger nails and my polish is peeling off my nails already! I had to ask someone else to fix something as there was a chunk of acrylic under my nail and was left with uncleaned fingers(polish and acrylic on my skin). They can be really nice there but if a regular comes in you get pushed to the side and rushed out. read more

The salon is beautiful and clean, but the work is inconsistent. I've been here several times and sometimes my ANC is done well and lasts for three whole weeks, and other times it looks good for five days and looks mediocre until I get them done again. So...I will not return. It's like a factory line here. Unless you're a regular your small talk will be met with indifference . They do nice nails and a decent pedicure but the attitude of their employees are neutral at most. This is not my first time coming here. I had services here several times over the last 3 years and each experience was pleasant. This time around, after my pedicure, I was asked to sit in the gentleman's space in the middle. When I sat down, he walked over and asked 'what are we doing here with your nails? (Total paraphrase because he said it kind of fast). I said 'Hello' he said what?? Oh yeah I'm fine I said okay because you know sometimes we have things on our mind and are just distant. But throughout the first half of the service he was rough, pulling my fingers and eventually rushing. I asked if he was in a rush and then all of a sudden he raised his voice an octave. A few seconds later after his tirade. He said, you know what, I'm not doing this. She can do your nails. I told him yes please since you're having a bad day and I hope it gets better. I then sat in the chair to wait for the lady to finish with her customer and asked about the owner but I changed my mind. I will just not come back. I see how they treat other customers and don't know what it is but I just will find another location to get my well-needed treat where my presence is welcomed. read more

Went here after going to several others in the area. I purchased my granddaughter a set of tips a few days prior at another nail place. She hated the nails and wanted them off and I had already tried going back to the other place with no luck. Mary the nail tech at Splash took amazing care of her and gentle took the set off and then did her natural nails with an amazing design. My granddaughter was thrilled! We went back the following week for pedicures and was so happy! They were so awesome! We will never go anywhere else and the owners make you feel like you are part of the family. I live in the Baltimore area and only come in when I'm up visiting my fiance. I've never had any issue...until Saturday. I booked an appointment online a few days prior for 2pm on Saturday. I got several texts over the next few hours stating that my appointment was rescheduled for two other times, with the last at 2:30. I didn't mind because my day was flexible anyway. A few hours before my 2:30 appointment I got a text and email asking me to confirm my appointment via the square app. I did and I got a green message that my appointment was confirmed. I go in, and the gentlemen there said that Mary (my assigned nail tech) was sick and that he had messaged me that my appointment was cancelled. I advised him I got no such message, either through email or text. He comes over and shows me his phone for a quick second then pulls it back towards him "proving" he had messaged me over the square app (nice try). I said that if he had, I would have been notified via text or email that I had a message in the app. The whole time he was extremely condescending and borderline accusing me of lying. I showed him the messages I had received as well as emails that there was absolutely nothing showing my appointment had been cancelled (I didn't point this out to him, but why would the same app he says he messaged me over ask me to confirm my appointment??). Not only that, he didn't even have the decency to offer to reschedule my appointment. Nothing. I noticed some prior reviewers talking about a condescending guy and no doubt it's this same tool. He's never done my nails but I've heard him make snide remarks in the past. Nothing overtly inappropriate but I always got a bad vibe from him. I'm sure it's hard being a "guy" and working in such an emasculating profession as doing nails but don't take it out on your customers and don't borderline accuse the customer of lying when they show you proof they're not. So, this place needs to: #1 Have the decency to call customers when something like this happens. It seems to work for every other business on planet Earth. #2. Fix their appointment/messaging system. It's 2022. This s*** is not that complicated. #3. Don't hire sexually frustrated,emasulated beta males. 4. While this doesn't bother me personally, there is a lot of cussing and juvenile behavior (one of the fat technicians frequently comments about paying customers' appearances which I find kind of ironic), and which I know might bother some customers. The owner is married to a guy that owns a restaurant downtown so I have a feeling this is just a play job that she (and her family who are the other employees) don't really take all that seriously. They do a pretty good job but there is too much petty bull**** to deal with here. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. I know I will be. read more

I have mixed feelings about my one experience here. The pros: The place is clean and nice looking. My pedicure looks good. The cons: The lady (who seemed to be in charge) told me to take a seat at the pedicure chair but then took 15 minutes to actually to get to me. She spent that whole time on her phone. Then, during the pedicure, all the nail technicians working (all who had clients) were having one big loud conversation with each other. Like yelling across the room. I came here when this place first opened. It's a nice ambiance but the staff is absolutely TERRIBLE. They basically don't ever take walk ins and their whole demeanor is so off putting as if you're an inconvenience as a customer. I felt the same way when I came in last time and actually got my nails done. I warn you you to stay away unless you want to feel totally unrelaxed and put off. My daughter made an appointment for for 4 pm. When she got there she was told that she was not in the book and we need to wait an unspecified amount of time. I spoke to the manager who told me a different story and that they were limiting people do to covid. No mention of them forgetting her appointment. The woman I spoke to was rude and condescending. I have to say this is the cleanest and best place I've gotten my nails done in the Schenectady/Nisky/Rotterdam area. Ask for Sonny, he is very articulate and my nails look picture perfect every time I leave. One thing I really value about this salon is the staff speaks perfect English, so you can actually have a real conversation with them and they are very friendly. This nail salon does the BEST ANC in the area. Last month, my ANC lasted four weeks without cracking or breaking. This month, they have lasted two weeks so far, one of those times being through a 9 mile mud race with obstacles that included crawling on the ground through rocks and mud. This nail salon is in a convenient location with ample parking. The nail salon itself is clean and spacious. They have a lot of color choices for ANC and gel. The staff however, I have mixed feelings about. They are not rude, but they are also not really courteous either. They seem abrasive. I've gone there a handful of times and I've gotten the same vibe each time. My last time there the guy doing my gel polish kept sighing and exclaiming loudly how the anc I had on from another place was done poorly and would take the rest of the evening to take off. Maybe he was just being sarcastic, but his complaining made me feel quite uncomfortable. The actual quality of the service is also hit and miss. If they're busy or if your nails are not an easy job they do not take the time to make sure they are perfect. Though I feel one of the ladies there, who I believe is the owner has always done a marvelous job. I'd probably still go there in a pinch but definitely not going there to take care of my regular manicure needs. read more

I had been to this nail salon many times because it was close to my house, it's very modern and clean, and they're good at what they do. However, I was sacrificing customer service for a good manicure and after a while I got sick of how they treated me. Sometimes when I walked in the door I would be completely ignored and would have to just wait there until someone acknowledged my presence. I can also say that some of the employees are unprofessional. For example, taking phone calls in the middle of services, gossiping about other clients. My eyebrows look horrible. They are unprofessional, they do not pluck or trim eyebrows (rather just wildly and quickly try to wax them). Wax was still left on my face after. Zero talent. And I had extremely full and easy eyebrows. Never have they EVER been messed up in my entire life, and I've been to many places. The pedicure I received from this place was great. The girl was good and the atmosphere was relaxing enough. However, when I went back to get a manicure the following week, it was bad. The place was crowded and everyone was yelling over one another, making it difficult to get comfortable. Apart from the clientele being obnoxious, the people working were also yelling and talking loudly. I was called to do an anc manicure from Suzie. She was visibly upset and slurring her words. As the manicure went on, she revealed she had been drinking due to some personal issues going on. I was already 3/4 of the way through with my nails and just wanted to leave, but said nothing. She was sloppy with her manicure and I feel like I was missing out on a better experience. The manager/owner clearly didn't notice, but it was busy and I wanted to leave. I won't be going back. I don't think a drunk employee is the way to go. I advise against anyone getting their nails done by this girl, aka Suzie. She was a mess. My friends got their nails done too, and felt rushed by their people. For $30, at least be sober. read more

She said timing would be difficult, which I understood, but she then promised she would talk to her staff and see if they could swing it.
