Absolutely horrible! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!! My order was for delivery. I called at 8:40pm my order didn't arrive until 10:15pm. My pizza was cold and stale. Almost unbearable to chew. What one would assume chewing cardboard would be like. Our Greek salad is a field of lettuce and onion, and no dressing. We ordered Bruschetta Mista which is suppose to come with toasted bread, marinated tomatoes, roasted peppers, mushrooms and mozzarella. Nope! I received nasty soggy bread with diced tomatoes and melted (cold) cheese. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager, the girl asked "for what?!" Put the phone down and I'm assuming she went to get the manager. I waited a while. "The manager" then grabbed the phone, I asked if he spoke English cause he was about to start speaking Spanish and he put me on hold. Where I waited another while before I hung up and decided yelp. Full disclosure: I'm a bread lover. I could take down multiple loaves in a day if I allowed myself to. I came for the first time this past Saturday and ordered a Caprese panini. More full disclosure: this is my go to panini. Who doesn't love cheese and tomatoes? But I digress..it's hard to say what is the VIP of this meal. The bread was absolutely incredible. If I was just given that, I would still be a happy customer. Add the freshness of the mozzarella and tomato and it is quite the experience. Paired this off with some Chianti and finished off the evening with delicious almond gelato. This place is small but quaint with every table having a clear view of the kitchen area where fresh pizzas, calzones, and paninis are being doled out. Check this place out. I am very big fan of Spizzigo. This small restaurant in the heart of Doral doesn't look too fancy, but the food is heavenly. My aunt has been going to Spizzigo for a couple of years now and I finally got the chance to go with her. I would blindly recommend their fettuccine Alfredo with salmon; it's AMAZING. My aunt also loves their meats and their pizzas. The service is great and the place is clean. It's a great place for a quick bite or a full meal. Panino prosciutto - was very good, the prosciutto was very lean not to much fat and not greasy. The bake there own bread so it comes out really nice and warm. The only problem, it was a bit dry so ask for some extra basil & olive oil. Besides that excellent! Biancaneve pizze - a thin crispy pizza with mozzarella, mascarpone, mushrooms, ham & truffle oil. I come to Spizzigo for pizza. And I've come a lot. I drive about 5 minutes of where I live, sit outside (not always happy for the music), order a Margherita pizza and a San Benedetto sparkling water. Period. Outside there are about 15 small wooden tables and an inmense green beach umbrella, I like more here than inside. As you enter, there are about 12 gelato flavors welcoming you. We complained that this was not what we'd ordered and she told us that she got confused with the order; then, she "suggests" to take the dish she brought us because the main course was about to be ready; so ordering the Bruchettas at that point meant they would come after the main course. Of course, we had not finished yet with the appetizer when they brought us the main course. It is good to note that in all that time we were accompanied in our table by two flies. And the final surprise ... The Check ... besides charging me the dish that I had not ordered (of course, much more expensive); these people charge 18% gratuity and a "service charge" for the same amount (usually service charge applies for parties of 6 or more) ... this place is a scam. Blanca nieve pizza offers truffle oil! Instead the added olive oil, we said it doesn't taste like and the bring more "truffle oil" which was olive oil! Instead of doing this they should add more money to the pizza and don't lie to your customers! And try to make a full out of them! read more

I ordered a lasagna through Uber Eats from Spizzigo. Not only was the order delayed by nearly an hour from its original time but the lasagna came cold and I had to microwave it. Great food, and delicious gelato. This place offers two menus, and here's why- Spizzigo is more of a casual, panini restaurant, and their neighbor, La Griglia offers heavier pasta dishes. We started with fried mozzarella; I could have done without it. The star of the show for me was the fettuccine Alfredo finished table side, inside a wheel of Parmigiano reggiano cheese. I highly recommend this; it's a well kept secret! We finished our visit with a scoop of their very creamy gelato. They have a big cooler displaying all the gelato that is so creamy and made fresh in-house. I recommend this place for a nice, intimate setting, and delicious meal that you won't be disappointed by. read more

The pasta was THE BEST PART as well as the bruschetta. So delicious! Definitely would recommend. The service is very good as well and the prices aren't too bad especially for what you're getting. The pizza is also Coal fired pizza which gives it a really good and different taste than the standard pizza. Love love love this place! My gf and I love it. Don't know why it only has 3 1/2 stars. Not until today have I had a bad experience. I love the pesto risotto, but the nutella pizza I ordered through uber eats is unacceptable. It is advertised as a thin pizza with nutella, fresh strawberries and powdered sugar on top. When It can all it had was nutella. When my husband and I tried it, it was rock hard and inedible. Very disappointing. That's 15 bucks down the drain. We were interested in getting pizza there in the future, but if this is any testament to the quality of their dough I think we better pass. read more

It was my first time there and he treat me like I knew what they have and how they serve, then we have a fly problem which I told the waiter but he just avoid me, not even apologize. I ask for the manager but he "wasn't there" he says. Had been here before with family members and large groups and tip has never been included or was never an issue. Went today with friends because of the happy hour (2x1) and ate some pizza. The pizza came super late (30 mnts later) the server came and apologized twice but wasn't able to provide an explanation as to why it was late. Finally the pizza arrived, was pretty good as expected. For all of the rounds of beers we ordered, we had to ask for the server EVERY SINGLE TIME. The server never checked on us on how was the food or if we needed refills. The restaurant was not busy by any means. When the check arrived, the surprise came along... they charged us a 26% tip because of the happy hour policy. We asked for the manager, because this was not our first time here nor they had ever charged tip to our bill in advanced. (There was nothing in the menu stating this either). Guess what? The manager never came because he was not on shift. Literally we were told: "sorry, this is company policy. You will have to pay now and if you want to file a claim you'll need to contact the office tomorrow" WHAT?!?! Be aware of the happy hour nights as they will not tell you this and to be fair there is really no discount when they forcefully apply the tip to your bill. If we would've been advised of the included tip and the service would've been of 26% quality, we would've had no issues paying the bill. This was not the case!! PS This was our third time visiting this place and last one. read more

Today I stopped in for lunch with co-workers as we were looking for a place in the immediate area and have one person who is a very picky eater. He likes pizza so the sign for pizza at Spizzigo caught his attention and in we went. The restaurant looks nice, you can choose to sit in the shady outdoor patio or inside the clean, modern dining area. We sat inside and were greeted promptly with menus and offered drinks. Two of us asked for water which turned out to be bottled Aquafina water at a charge. If you're going to charge for water at least get a decent brand of bottled water, Aquafina tastes like tap water. Our order was simple, a plain cheese pizza for Mr. Picky, a chicken cesar salad for me, and a Fettuccini Alfredo for the third. The order came out super quick, too quick it seemed. The pizza was not cooked through, although Mr. Picky liked it, it was not ok. There was absolutely no flavor whatsoever, the cheese didn't even taste like anything. My Cesar was ok, nothing special at all but ok and same for the fettuccini. We each spent about $15 once you add in the waters which seemed like highway robbery for crappy food. I would not recommend this place based on today's experience unless you like bland over priced food. read more

$17.77 for tortellini?!? The menu says $13.50 but they basically charged me like $4.00 bc i wanted pesto sauce instead of the sauce it comes with. Oh and their tortellini comes in a ravioli shell instead of the tortellini shell shape like other restaurants, which isn't really a big deal but then it should just be called ravioli with ricotta cheese. If you want pasta don't come here go to Mozzarella on 79th AVE and 36th ST. They give you a LARGE portion of whatever pasta and don't charge you for choosing a different sauce and it comes with a salad and bread for like $15. If you come here, stick to salad and pizza. The ravioli's (bc i refuse to call them tortellini) tasted really good though, aside from the negatives I ranted about above. A few mins ago I made a take out order in Spizzigo Doral. Spizzigo offers delicious pizza's, but honestly the first try I give to the pasta ( Fiocchi Pear) wasn't a good experience! I called to let them know the pasta sadly wasn't good at all. And the lady that took care of me didn't bother asking what was it I didn't like or apologized. She did offer to call her manager Salvatore and he said "imagine if everybody started returning the food because they don't like it"! That is not a response from a good manager. I had to pay $18.90 for something that wasn't good at all texture, sauce, flavor. Honestly I didn't feel like cooking on a Sunday and just wanted to enjoy good food. Finally found Basilico Italian restaurant in Doral, got a DELICIOUS plate of ravioli with pear and gorgonzola for a couple dollars less and great service. read more
