I'm glad this restaurant is only a walking distance from our Airbnb-rented place, so we don't have to worry about parking. The atmosphere is very cool and urban-themed. The staff is ok, but they're not really that friendly. They just basically get and serve your order. The food was good, but I had better Mediterranean food before. Additionally, it's close to Universal Studios, so you might want to chill here after and grab something to drink. It's a nice place to catch up with friends or just read. Spitz has good lunch options; its definitely a challenge to park so be ready for that if you are driving to the location. Joe's Falafel is a really good option nearby as well if you're looking for doner/kebabs. So I've come here multiple times, ordering the doner wraps, salads, and fries. They are all good options. The flavor is good from their Doner (Beef/Lamb) and their fries are crispy. I don't know if they use a spit, but the flavors are good and meat juicy. The wraps are really filling so unless you're a huge eater I would highly encourage you to split a wrap and fries if you're coming for lunch or just be ready to pack some to go. If you're coming later in the day they have a lot of Sangria options; though I haven't tasted those before. For lunch wraps I would say this is an excellent option. Lunch will cost you about 12-17 depending if you get a drink/fries. read more

Ordered the street cart fries which were served with a delicious sauce and toppings , also had the doquitos ( Mediterranean taquitos) with the great beef & lamb filling. Upon arrival we noticed it was happy hour and the cashier at the desk was anything but friendly.I dont think she smiled once during our whole interaction and just seemed completely annoyed with her job from start to finish. We are college students and so we were keeping an eye in the pricing with what we ordered.my friend asked a couple of questions and she wasnt helpful at all, at one point she said "im just clicking buttons on the screen" as an excuse to why she didnt tell us there was extra charge for one of the things we ordered. At one point what seemed like the manager stepped in and you could tell at least he was trying his best to help.Anyways, my friend ended up paying for 2 sides even though the "make it a combo" option advertised 1 complimentary side and we ended up feeling insulted and confused after she did a horrible job at putting at ease about menu prices and answering our questions.when I placed my ordered, I specifically asked for no vegetables on one of the items, and when the food was served they were all there.While at the table she never once offered to refill our sodas so we had to go up to her and everytime we looked over to her she just had that Id rather be anywhere but here expression in her face. I went with a friend for our first time there last night and we were pleasantly delighted by the kind service, clean environment, and delicious food. The helpful hostess certainly added to the experience, and the relaxed, urban atmosphere perfectly accented the vibe-- overshadowed only by the delectable eats. I ordered the zesty feta wrap, my friend ordered the Mediterranean wrap (both with falafel), and we shared a large order of the sweet potato fries. They were all cooked to perfection and brought out by a very nice gentleman from the kitchen staff. After enjoying our meals on the patio, we left, but not before popping back inside to grab two baklava nut rolls for the road. They were superb! First of all, this place has the best fries in LA. Maybe the world. They have good beers on draft, and a decent happy hour. I also really like their Chicken Donor wrap - it's amazing! The quality of this place has dropped exponentially over the years. Maybe they changed their ingredients/recipes or maybe management changed? But the last couple of times the food is complete garbage. Nothing tasted the same and nothing's made like before. Today there was a blob of fat from red meat in my wrap. Just left Spitz. Very annoyed with the service. I phoned ahead and placed an order to pick up. I called at 4:10pm and was told my order would be ready in 20min. I received a text at 4:19pm saying that my order was being finished up. I arrived and paid for my order at 4:35pm. Why am I actually getting my order at 4:48pm...Then, I get another text stating that my order is being finished up at 4:50pm They have to do better with their service. I know the spot is popular. But it's annoying when you've ordered ahead to avoid the wait and end up waiting twice as long as you were told your order would take. And the employees don't give a damn. They don't apologize for the wait. They don't say they're going to check to see what's taking so long. They just keep chatting it up with the other staff behind the bar or in the kitchen. There's always multiple people there just hanging out. Can't tell who is working or not. Don't give me a wait time if you can't fulfill it.
