Every street-parking New Yorker's worst fear: a flat tire on alternate-side parking day! When a can…read moreof Fix-a-Flat failed to inflate my tire, I inquired at this nearby auto shop as to whether they might be able to assist. They let me borrow a tank of air, under the stern condition that I bring it right back. After filling up my tire, I brought the car to them and returned the air tank. A mechanic jacked up my car and removed the tire, identifying a puncturing screw as the culprit. After yanking out the foreign object he quickly patched the tire, then charged me a very reasonable amount of money for the work. It's hard to imagine a better outcome. I appreciate the empathy they showed for my plight and the trust they extended to me. Way cheaper than buying a new tire, and the speed of service was terrific.

When I told him I didn't want to spend $200 on a new Volvo headlight lens, he made it work. He always prioritizes the repairs. What I mean is this: he tells me everything he finds wrong and lets me know which problems can wait. He never tries to scare me the way a lot of mechanics do. Also, I never seem to have to pay for the same job twice. On the rare occasion that I have to come back, he makes it right. Lastly, I want to mention how he bends over backward to work within my schedule. I have lost count of the number of times I have shown up and said that I need my car back the next day, and Ami saved the day.

Terrible experience -- avoid this place at all costs…read more I brought my car in because it was shaking slightly. Ami confidently told me it was the engine mount and quoted a price to fix it. After a few days, I picked up the car and saw the issue wasn't fixed. He then said it might be the gear mount and charged me again. Still no fix. He blamed defective parts and asked me to come back. When I did, he was on vacation and left it to a worker who clearly had no clue what was going on -- and I got another bill. After promising a refund if he couldn't fix it, I gave him one last chance. I waited three hours and he never touched the car. Then he gave me a $1700 bill and refused to return my car unless I paid. He held my car hostage. Ami is full of smooth talk and zero results. This shop is a scam. Don't make the same mistake I did.

My insurance rates would've went through the roof if I made the claim. So I elected to pay out of pocket. When reaching out to Felix and his crew, he assured me that he would work within my budget and offer prices not far from what I found online + his guys labor and material costs. I dropped the car off while taking a vacation, and Felix was providing me updates via text, and even offered suggestions for maintenance items that I needed to address (brake pads, fluids, etc). Taking note of these items that I, as a regular non-mechanically inclined person, don't normally do was a really nice touch that I appreciated. Car was ready the day after I came back from vacation and was detailed and looked better than when I received it new. A lot of attention to detail and technique was applied here. The price was what was communicated from the jump, and Felix worked with me to see if he could refinish rather than replace certain items to keep the cost down for my sake. Can't say anything bad about this place, only positive things came from my experience. Hope I don't have to be back to use their services, but glad I did and can give a great review for Felix, Justin, and the rest of the crew. Thank you!!
