For a dealership that seems very focused on ratings, this was a terrible experience. I love my vehicle, but that's the only positive. We contacted Mike B. (sales) on Facebook after he posted our vehicle. We told him we were driving two hours and what day we'd arrive. At no point did he mention the vehicle wouldn't be ready to take home that day -- but it wasn't. While discussing price, I asked about fees and whether to address them with him or finance. He said finance. By the time we got there, it was too late to question or negotiate those fees. The vehicle still needed work before they'd release it, so we had to drive two hours back home. They said they were making improvements so it would be "pristine." We planned to pick it up the next day, but that changed to the following day because it still wasn't ready. When we returned, one key didn't work and the 3-4 inch tear in the seat they said would be fixed was still clearly visible with poor stitching (see photo). Mike replaced the key battery and said we could take the vehicle to our local dealer for the seat repair so we wouldn't have to drive back again. I agreed and left -- only for the gas light to come on shortly after leaving the lot. I've never purchased a vehicle from a dealer with an empty tank. A week later I followed up about the seat repair. I gave Mike our local dealer's information and he said I'd have an update by Friday. Twelve days later, still nothing. I followed up again. Three days later -- still no response -- so I left a negative review. The next day, they called. They asked me to remove the review while they fixed things, so I did. They also promised a $50 gas gift card (still waiting 3.5 weeks later). Then at the DMV, the paperwork Spirit Lexus provided was rejected because there was no lien release included. When I took the vehicle to our local Toyota dealer for the seat repair, Mike said Spirit Lexus would pay by corporate card over the phone during my Friday appointment. The repair was completed, but when Toyota called for payment, Mike and managers were out and no one could process payment until possibly the next morning. Toyota had to hold my vehicle. I didn't trust paying myself after already being promised (and not receiving) the gas gift card. I called Spirit Lexus: 1st call - Cheyenne (Service), transferred to voicemail. 2nd call - Operator, transferred to voicemail. 3rd call - Operator, sent to voicemail before anyone answered. 4th call - Hung up on. 5th call - Finally transferred to Scott. Scott told me to pay and get reimbursed. I explained what Mike had promised. After checking, Scott obtained the corporate card and paid Toyota. Ten minutes later Toyota confirmed payment. I'm done with Spirit Lexus. You can keep the $50 gift card. Buy yourself something real nice. And no, I won't be removing this review again. If you think this was a "one person" issue, invest in a functioning CRM system. Better communication and follow-through would have prevented nearly all of this. read more

Continued to drive other cars to determine my favorite. Each salesperson at the other 4 dealerships contacted me either by phone or text to see if I had questions or needed help. I brought my car here for service (first and last time) and after bringing it home I noticed fresh paint scratches on the hood. It's as if the hood was open when they raised it on the lift and it collided with something overhead. Spent $2200 in routine maintenance to get my vehicle damaged. They either have such a lack of attention to detail that they did not notice the damage or a lack of integrity to report it. Now I have to get it fixed out of pocket. I just purchased a 2026 RX 350 from this dealership and my overall experience was outstanding. From the moment I met with Claire Robe, one of their Sales Specialists, I knew I had come to the right place to purchase my car. Her extensive knowledge of the RX 350 and of its components gave me confidence that she knew her cars. Additionally, her no pressure approach to negotiating with me to reach a very fair deal was a pleasant surprise. My experience with sales was EXCELLENT. Alan was great and helped me find the car I wanted. My car is only 4 months old and a rock hit the windshield and it needed to be replaced. It took from Friday until Monday to reach a person to schedule the repair. The call center person said "They're so busy we can't reach them half the time". Finally got a voice mail for Charles but prior to that, Travis told me he could send an email to Derek ( which he never got ) to call me as this was the advisor I typically worked with for my previous car. Charles got me an appointment and a loaner. He said it would be all cleaned up when I got it. I take the loaner in on Saturday and go get my car. A young guy that worked there took my loaner key and sat me in the waiting room and said he would tell Charles so I could get my car and be on my way. More than a half hour later I'm still there . I stop an advisor and tell him all I need is my car and I ended up waiting for 40 mins altogether to get it. I tell him Charles was my advisor. Guess what ! Charles isn't there today. Office is dark. So I sat there for 40 mins of my day waiting for someone who wasn't even working. I finally get my car and it's FILTHY! No complimentary wash.... This was the worst and what's more I bought the service package because I was told it would be more convenient . Time is valuable... and my time was not respected. read more

This dealership is a brand new facility and company has been in STL forever. The car buyers experience can tighten most people's jaws and takes a lot of the joy of driving a newer vehicle away. The Spirit experience took a bit longer than expected for a cash sale but was very pleasant and not insulting like the Metro East dealer we just dealt with. Horrible in every way. Buying my used car there was a nightmare. Finance department was terrible to work with. They sold me a car that had a lien on it! then the temporary tags expired and I couldn't get anyone there to help me. Took forever and many phone calls and trips to get it straightened out. STAY CLEAR of the service department. Every time I get my oil changed there they give me an estimate list of needed services totalling thousands of dollars, including a $4,900 gasket cover leak repair "needed to keep the car running." And then I take it to my excellent mechanic and he goes through the list and says "BS." So I will never go back for sales or service. read more

I tried to buy a new IS500 from this dealership today and they mandated that I pay for $4100 in add ons for PPF, window tinting, and body panel etching. I was more than willing to pay full price for the car but will never be bullied to pay for things that I don't want. I take my car here for service on occassion and the staff I have interacted with are nice and friendly, and I like the included car wash. The waiting area is clean and has a few snacks/drinks and free wifi. Cons: it takes longer than a normal autoshop for any service. One time I waited 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. My most recent visit only took an hour which was nice. They keep mentioning to me that I don't have a 60k service on file and recommend services from that (brake fluid replacement, differential fluid, etc.). I found documentation of this service in my printed records (done at a different Lexus dealership) so hoping that clears up any confusion and they can stop recommending services that have already been done at the scheduled intervals. read more

How did I know he's a rookie. He told me that. Been on the job for 2 months. Used a " Financial Cheat Book" when asking him questions. we had a very unpleasant buying experience from here-- likely the worst of 30 plus cars bought over the years.. the service department is excellent here, though. we thought Lexus would be a luxury brand and experience. this place is far far far from luxury. we bought a vehicle early in week and made a second meeting to wrap up paperwork. we spent literally five hours in the dealership waiting while watching walk-ins get their paperwork done ahead of us. really made us angry. sales guy asked US what price we'd agreed to As we sat down. The guys here , porters , are smoking profusely outside, then driving vehicles .. and we're not talking tobacco. . From the way this place is run, we presume the management is high also. there is no chance we'd ever return here for a vehicle purchase despite the great service department. The places Customer Service # is absolutely awful, I scheduled a brake fluid change for 10:30 AM and did not get my vehicle back until 2:30 PM. That is a absolutely ridiculous amount of time to wait for a scheduled maintenance, I could probably get a way quicker and better service from a walk up mechanic shop and would have paid way less for the Service. Of course don't even think about mentioning or asking why it took so long to get the work done because they will quickly justify it just we have a lot of customers and low staff... sounds like whoever manages the schedule is doing a poorly and over scheduling for the staff read more

I purchased a used car from this dealer. The salesman was a young man who was collaborative and knowledgeable. After taking the car home, I noticed that the sun had burned through the tinted sheet of the driver's side passenger window reflecting #s that were most likely written directly on the glass as dealers will do to market the car. I called my sales rep about it and we made an appointment to bring the car in. I waited about 2 hours and when I came back, I noticed that they did nothing to rectify the problem. The sales rep told me that his "hands were tied," which is a lame excuse for not fixing the problem. Shame on me for not noticing this before handing them a check. Either the sales manager or the service manager (or both), decided that this was not something that they wanted to spend time on, which would have been fine if they would have told me in advance and not wasted 3 hours of my day (1 hour drive time). Because of their decision to not rectify the problem and the way they went about it factors into my decision to not recommend this dealership. read more

I visited on July 7 2025 for oil change. Revive a picture of my tire with a big nail in it with message that it loosing air fast n offered $400 plus to replace that tire. I ask if they can patch it. They said no. I ask them to put my spare tire in and went to another auto shop and they patched it. My problem is that it impossible for me to get to work in the morning and after to Spirit Lexus with that nail. Since they open that new location I visited twice and both times I found nails on their ground laying left and right. I mentioned it my first visit I try to reach service manager by email and by phone and got no response what forever. I'm sure other clients had that kind of issues with nails in their tires. Please if it is the case comment and address that issue so they finally clean up their ground I been own n drive lexus for 30 years. Used to go to dealership at Manchester. Was never an issue. So when you need something done- the service department will say whatever you bought from finance is confidential and they have no idea what you paid for. It is literally sickening dealing with them. Looked at a 2024 Lexus NX 350 F Sport .....Priced at $58,000 .....I currently have a 2022 Infiniti QX55 Essential......I researched my trade in value based of KBB, J.D.Power( NADA)....KBB - Trade In Value Rough Condition was $38,399 and J.D. We were then told by Joe that there was nothing they could do about it because we did not purchase their over priced warranty. Same old sleazy car sales tactics at Spirit Lexus. I made an appointment to look at their inventory knowing pretty much what I wanted, but wanted to drive and inspect the vehicle. First of all I noticed the late model used cars were not clean thoroughly. It felt like sitting in someone's personal vehicle. After driving a couple of cars, we decided to go with a new car purchase, the sales person took us into the building and sat us at her desk for quite some time while we discussed details, which was fine. However , when it came time to discuss trade-in, she left us for at least half an hour, waiting at her desk. She returns with a ridiculous lowball figure for my vehicle, and I mean RIDICULOUS. I told the sales person I was not interested in games and nonsense just looking to make an honest fair deal. After being at the dealership for over two hours and the lowball on the trade-in, we got up to leave. She then announces that the sales manager would like to speak with us. No, thank you he could've done that an hour ago. When we tried to leave, my car was not where I parked it. In fact, I could not find it anywhere. I had to go back in to track down the sales person, get my keys, and we searched for my car, eventually finding it in a covered parking lot, far behind the building. This is not the way you should treat customers. I took my business down the road to the other Lexus dealership and purchase was easy breezy no nonsense just as it should've been. I don't dislike the service and parts folks here as much as I do the sales department but I'm not sure how much I can share about the latter, just know what you want when heading there. I get my car regularly serviced here and the experience is generally underwhelming. Appointments at the dentist are much more appealing than these. The service consultants are polite and seemingly engaged yet I've sometimes felt like I was being upsold services. Not a fan. The worst thing about this place is the wait as they tend to overbook appointments which results in flagrant waiting times for simple oil change and tire rotation. The best thing about this place is the Applebee's next door where you can go and grab a full meal, and catch up on your Yelp reviews while waiting for your car to get serviced. read more

I called for a quote on 60k service on my 2019 NX300. I was told it would be $471 so I scheduled. When we took car in I was told that I was given pre Covid pricing and new price would be $959. We left vehicle and I called service 15 times to speak to someone else about cost. Every time I was transferred to someone's voice mail. I left several messages and not one person returned my call. I then called and asked for manager and got voicemail again. I left him a message and he didn't return my call either. We picked up vehicle and paid $845 after a coupon was applied. I know little about cars except how to drive, put gas in and pay the car note. I make sure hubby is around to question service. I recently switched from Mungenast to Plaza with my new Lexus and this was my first service experience. I made an appointment and pulled my car in. There were several people around but no one greeted me for awhile I just awkwardly stood around wondering what to do. Finally they sent me to the waiting area but didn't tell me how to get there and I'd never been there before. The waiting area was really full on a Saturday even during COVID. Most people had their masks off while they were enjoying drinks. I chose the back seating area which was more private. Being pregnant in a pandemic I'm very uncomfortable around unmasked people. I was there nearly 30 min after my appointment before someone checked me in. The person working with me had his mask barely on (more like just his lower lip) in an enclosed office which didn't make me feel at ease. The good thing was the service was pretty quick and I was out of there around 45 min after that. Next time I'll definitely schedule during the week when hopefully it's less busy in the waiting area or have someone pick me up instead. read more

I ordered my car on line because what I was looking for was not available locally. S.J was very responsive and found what I was looking for, however it was in another state and an executive demo. It was delivered and I was very happy. After I got it home that night and had more time to really inspect it I noticed in had scratches on the black chrome rims. I had purchases ding shield so I didn't worry too much because it would be covered. I mentioned it a couple of times and was told to file a claim. I did file a claim in July of this year and was asked to find my copy of the contract because they were now Spirit Lexus and didn't have the paperwork even though they are still owned by the same people. I provided it and they said they would have to change the contract because the contract says they fix it not with black chrome they have to replace it. They are supposed to be working on the change .
