We joined another couple that day (cutting the price in half) for a glorious private speed boat tour of Bear and Devil's Island. We didn't have to navigate the challenging waves with kayaks, were able to cover much ground in significantly less time and were still able to get an intimate tour of the best sea caves as Pete deftly navigated the vessel in and out of the caves. We wound up having a much better tour and saved enough money to pay for the previous nights dinner in the process. HIGHLY RECOMMENED!!!

We went in to exchange it and they could have not been more accommodating. She did not have the receipt and had removed the tags. They knew it was their product and were happy to make the swap for a larger size. As she made the swap, I browsed through the store with my other cousin. Oh my, the variety of merchandise was mind blowing. They had everything you'd need for a camping trip. They even sell camping packages for the boundary waters and when you check-in on Yelp they offer a 15% off coupon. If you're a fisher, they also offer live bait to help you catch that big fish. That way your "big fish" story will be truth instead of a made up one. My other cousin who was traveling with us, caught so much fish during our trip, that when we left Ely, we had to stop at Spirit to buy dry ice. When in Ely, I highly recommend that you shop, Spirit.

We opted for the 23-hour rental and returned our vehicle late on a warm July evening after a 125 miles tour from Seeley to Cable to Clam Lake and Hayward - by way of an amazing trail network and a few county roads. I've been in the Hayward area for more than 50 years and saw places on this tour I've not seen before. I had nearly as much fun sitting next to my wife and looking at the landscape as I did when I was behind the wheel navigating the trails. Runamuk provides everything you need for a trip. Consider bringing ear protection - the machines are loud. Don't forget sunglasses and a rag to wipe to them clean after trekking a puddle or two.

We rode right after a big storm and got nice and wet and muddy from splashing through large rain puddles along the trails. The vehicles were very sturdy and we felt perfectly safe, even through some rough terrain. Jim also had us stop at a few spots along the way to show us some beautiful scenery and tell us a bit about the history of the area. Most of us hadn't been on or driven ATVs before and all of us would do it again! As far as the value goes, for 3 generations to spend a quarter of a day doing something we all enjoyed and had never done before, we felt it was worth every penny. Communication from Joan prior to our tour was excellent. She answered our questions promptly and thoroughly. Both she and Jim were wonderful. We will likely do business with them in the future! We look forward to more adventures!

The staff are friendly and helpful. The two adjacent marinas are well laid out with spacious fairways and slips and excellent restroom/shower facilities. I have chartered 32 and 39 foot Benneteaus as well as the Lagoon 380 and been very pleased with the condition and operation of the vessels. I have done the safety reviews with Superior Charters' captains and have found them to be very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Superior Charters sets an outstanding example for all chartering agencies.

The only problem is that the organization that did the restoration, not Round Lake Marina, did not check the engine as they'd assure us they would. So here we are, with a beautiful, cosmetically restored boat, but the darn thing wouldn't start and if it did, it died randomly. Not the ideal situation for someone who doesn't know a motor from a steering wheel. Enter Round Lake Marina. Darrin, Rick and Aaron came to our rescue, gave the boat a nice little tune up at our dock and made sure "girls week" wasn't spent looking longingly at the lake.
