Wall art + Mediterranean platter + caprese salad
    Jocelyn H.

We came here for a corporate event and were pleasantly surprised by the venue. The space can hold 600+ people but I would cap it at 300 if you want walking space. They have 11 ping pong tables, couch and bar seating, an open floor for dancing, multiple bars, and great staff. The catered food was also a hit! The experience was a 10/10 because of the various games (beyond ping pong), wonderful staff, open bar, great music, and delicious food.

What a fantastic place! SPIN has really got it all - ping pong, cornhole, cocktails, food, and a bunch of other games. I was pleasantly surprised by their food and drinks! Located in River North, this is a multi-level bar and grill that has tons of games, primarily ping pong. I would have never known this big space was here since it's pretty tucked away and doesn't look half as bag on the outside as it is on the inside. Truly the most perfect spot for events of any sort - birthday parties, corporate events, team building, etc. Their cocktails were soooo good; I got a classic margarita and the Mulling Manhattan and they were both perfect. The staff was personable and fun, too. I really liked their Mediterranean sampler - their hummus, tzatziki, olives, pita, and falafel were delicious. For a non-Mediterranean place, it was very good! Their brussels sprouts were delectable, too. I recommend coming here with a group so you can have a mini ping pong competition. Nothing bad to say about the place. I will totally be back here!

Nachos are short rib and delish! Heather was the server and on point and friendly!! Prices were fair for the demographic and location. We would go back!

I had gone to SPIN in Austin and was super excited to check out the location in downtown Chicago. We went on a Saturday just after opening and got seated very quickly. Our drinks and food came out within 10 minutes and man, the loaded nachos are absolutely where it's at! I am usually not a fan of that many toppings on any dish but it was cohesive and delicious. The set up of the tables inside is unique and modern and we had a great time there!

We hosted a corporate event here, and I don't think any other venue compares! Everything from the contracting process to the event night was amazing. There was plenty for people to do - whether they wanted to play ping pong, table tables, stand around, or sit around - there was an option for literally everyone. The food was truly amazing! I never expect too much from stationed/buffet foods, but everything tasted like it was it's own individually ordered meal. We even got feedback from our customers that the food was amazing! But the best part of it all was the staff. Each and every server, bartender, and coordinator was 5 stars. Truly the kindest people that made a great venue and even better experience!

    Bathtub of balls!

We enjoyed our event that was held at Spin Chicago. The venue is quite spacious and the table tennis (aka ping pong) theme is fun (gives you something more to do than just drinking). The bartenders are professional and there are plenty of staff to help with questions. There are many table tennis balls so you can play a very high paced game without having to run around to retrieve a ball (like in my days as a student). There's also shuffleboard and other things to do. I cannot comment on prices because our event was paid for by the sponsor. Overall I really liked this place and I'm glad I was here!

I was invited to attend for drinks and ping pong for a friend and my birthday. Atmosphere was fun, and food was good. Drinks were very inconsistent in flavor. How do we order multiple of the same drink and they all taste drastically different?? Also, there was booking issues... which caused sone drama at the beginning of our evening. That being said I feel the customer service is so-so. That being said I would still suggest checking them out since it was a fun time. Follow me on IG @ j.o.realness to check out other restaurants through our beautiful city of Chicago!

Just a cool area to sit, drink and play skeet ball

First of all before you get inside there is a sitting area with ping pong tables under heating lamps and VERY comfortable chair/sofas. Wow I was impressed. Then as you enter the location the bottom floor has an open floor of ping pong tables, (spaced out perfectly) skee ball tables, a massive DJ booth that plays the best mix of music for every taste. I don't drink but we were there for Alice birthday and they set up a area of fresh water and clean glasses for us to partake. I enjoyed my conversations with the mixologist she was new to her role but she had the customer service skills down. Let me pivot for a minute to the food while it's on my mind then I'll come back to customer service. I'm not a huge meat eater but I tried everything last night: The grilled flank steak amazing, it was tender, tasty and tantalizing, the BBQ wings were good, the Vegan power crunch salad was AMAZING as was the other salad which I can't remember the name. The food was buffet style, pretty plating and the plates and silverware was beautiful. I think the silverware was black matte and the plates were white which I appreciated because I like being able to see my food. So thankful to whoever works on the logistics they thought of it all. So back to customer service, from the moment you walk in at the front desk you are greeted and immediately pulled into the warmth shared. There was three people at the desk and two of us walked in. While one Associate put my wrist band on, the other came from behind the desk to put one on my spouse to keep the line moving and service us quickly. Great thinking All in all we had a great time Games available Jenga, life size connect four and the biggest uno card set I ever seen. Let the games begin.

Cool place cant believe I hadn't been here before this. If you like ping pong this is the place for you. They also have a few other games, (jinga) It was a surprise bday party for a friend. We had a section downstairs. Upon entry I was greeted and told me where to go. It was lively lots of parties and celebrating. After I said my hello's I went to the bar to order no sever. It took me a minute to get some service but I gave my order and waited. Sitting in the area waiting I wanted some water. All the hate glasses were dirty. When my food finally came no silverware or napkins. I had to ask more than once. Once I asked for a manager, who was helpful we got new water glasses (still dirty) and I got 3 roll-ups. The service was suspect but the food was delicious. I ordered the salad with chicken, and fries. The salad is huge more lettuce than chicken but it was tasty. The lettuce was green and fresh, dressing not too over bearing, it had a little kick to it (which I like) and the chicken was seasoned. The fries im not sure what was on them but they were great, and I am a fries snob. Fresh, crispy and yummy. My drink was a spicy marg. with a splash of pineapple and when I asked for this specifically the bartender nailed it. I just wish he was a bit more friendly.

It is definitely unique, creative, and a massive differentiator from any other cocktail bar I've been to. Now, let's talk cocktails! The creativity of the interior extends into the menu. Unlike some places that just make variations of existing classics (except for items specifically so named, like the Old Fashioned or Espresso Martini), all of their cocktails are unique and interesting. Time for a punch card? I ordered the Maximillian the Imposter. While I'm not typically a fan of banana (except for banana bread), I thought I'd step out of my comfort zone, and I wanted to try something 'flaming'. Flaming it was! The preparation of the drink involved a surprising amount of fire. I initially thought this was just for show, but no, this translated into a noticeable smoky flavor. Beyond that, the drink was strong, not overly sweet, and an all-around delight. There was one bartender on the night I was here, and while it was busy, I was still able to get my drink in a reasonable amount of time. I also feel as though they have reasonable prices, especially considering the quality and the market rates. King of Cups gets busy, and for good reason: they are an all-around phenomenal place, from the drinks to the vibe, and everything in between. If you're someone who likes a seat rather than fighting through a crowd, get a reservation! See you there!

A guitarist sits somewhere against a brick wall and plays music lightly but energetically. Service is friendly from start to finish and smiles are on everyone's faces. The menu is pretty easy to understand. You can get a three-course meal, or you can get each entree à la carte. You have two fondue candles in front of you, one for the cheese and dessert, and the other for the oil. We chose the three-course meal, and it was delightful. We started with the cheese appetizer. You get a basket of bread and fruit and we chose the seasonal cheese to dip. The oil for our meat was then left to heat, and we received a massive platter of veggies and meats for our main course. We chose the option for all selections of meat and seafood. After trying all the meats, I would opt for the lobster and shrimp. You can also substitute the oil for a broth. I would like to try the broth for next time. In one of the shakers, Gejas makes their own meat spice mix. It's recommended to put on the meats and even the desserts. It's a mix of tangy and savory and was a great compliment to the meal. We then chose the seasonal dessert, a white chocolate with vanilla cookies. Fruit, marshmallows, and churros to dip. We were so full by the time dessert came, but we enjoyed a few bites and took it home. The three-course meal, with five types of meat, came with about 10 pieces of meat. It doesn't look like a lot of food, but it truly is, with the apps, veggies, etc, your stomach will be full when you walk out of here. They also start the entire course with a mixed salad (so technically it's a four-course meal). It was very fairly priced, as well. Initially looking at the prices, you may think it's expensive, but it truly is a value with the amount of food they serve. This was rated as most romatic restaurant in Chicago. Its ambiance gives you the romantic feel, the guitarist adds to the atmosphere, and the staff is professional and friendly. This really was a great place and we enjoyed our time and meal.

It would be great to have a place in the neighborhood that consistently delivered. PARKING Parking on Halsted on a Saturday night can be a nightmare, and it did take a minute to find street parking. North of the 1800 block is busier because there are several restaurants within a two block radius. Side streets are permit parking after 6pm. Meters on Halsted are $2.50/hr. ATMOSPHERE Willow Room was pretty packed. We had a reservation for 8:15pm and my party of two was seated right away. The restaurant features a full bar, dim lighting and is nice and roomy. They have banquette seating around the perimeter, in addition to tables in the middle. SERVICE Our server, who was very nice and accommodating during our dining experience, came by and gave us our menu's. I had already decided on the RW menu and after review, my friend was interested in the Beef Wellington (not on RW menu). Our server informed us that normally the whole table had to order off of the RW menu if one person does, but said she would check with the kitchen since this was the last day of RW. Luckily, we were able to proceed with ordering from different menu's. FOOD I ordered a raspberry Cosmopolitan. I'm a Riesling/Moscato girlie, but I tasted the Riesling and didn't like it. RW dinner was priced at $60. I ordered: First Course: Caesar Salad (Typical salad, was good) Second Course: Mussels (Tasted fine, came with a baguette) Third Course: Short Rib (Could've been slightly more tender and better seasoned. I've definitely had better. Wouldn't order again.) Fourth Course: Orange Ricotta Donuts (Donuts were very good. Three were served, a few more would have been more filling.) My friend ordered a glass of Pinot Noir and: Truffle Fries (Fries were very tasty. I would order again if I went back.) Beef Wellington (The breading was buttery and very good. The beef could've been more seasoned. I wouldn't order.) Key Lime Pie (Was not sweet and had no taste. When our server came back and saw it was uneaten, she offered to take it off the bill. It should be removed from the menu altogether.) The busboys and server were very attentive. Our water glasses were always filled. OVERALL The atmosphere was nice, our server was great. Of all the food we ordered, I would order the truffle fries and Cosmopolitan again. I did leave full and did take my leftover Short Rib to go. Main dishes needed more seasoning. I would dine here again and try a different menu (brunch/lunch), or Happy Hour if they offer it.
