His work is good and his price was very competitive. Despite the frequent setbacks caused by Masonite I would still recommend Solid Construction for any work. I would recommend shying away from Masonite products due to very poor customer service.

We arrived without an appointment and we're promptly greeted and waited upon by David who was knowledgeable and most helpful. We scheduled an appointment for the next morning at 10AM for someone to come out to measure the windows and provide an estimate. David informed us of the process in detail including approximately how long we might expect to wait fir installation (6-8 weeks) We received a call within an hour of our visit from someone confirming the appointment time tomorrow as well as to ask if we were working with a builder or if Pella was to install. She also asked if we have a homeowners association ( which we do) Today's experience rates 5 stars, however I just entered a 4 star pending installation and cost. I ought add that we can literally walk to the Pella showroom from our condo. More to follow. Here's to a 5 star rating in 6-8 weeks!

I had have 10 Andersen windows installed previously, some Woodwright which I stained and some 400…read moreseries which I painted to match woodwork. All replacement. Matera installed some of them. Salesman this time upsold me new construction windows and I was leaving in a few days for a month so I wanted ot get them ordered. I painted them prior to installation. The installation was horrific - tiny cracks in the plaster now large requiring patching, pieces of plaster ripped off the wall requiring patching and painting entire walls. But the worst was the excessive and beyond shoddy caulking. I've never seen caulking so poorly done. Matera Bldrs.had completely redone my kitchen 9 years ago and the work, including caulking was excellent. This was appaling. I sent photos to Bob and he tried to defend work he knew was indefensible. He sent someone to try to fix some of the caulk but it was no better and I sent photos to Bob again. My woodwork is a different color then the walls and now there were no right angles, making painting sloppy. Bob and workers acknowledge that I am a good painter but this was impossble. Bob did discount the work some and did eventually apologize but that didn't help what was fairly pristine before the installation. They treated my $13,000 investment casually and carelessly. BEWARE! The worse company that we have had to deal with! I…read morereally do not know how he stays in business. 17 Windows were installed with 3 of them scratched and were to be replaced, which has not been completed. The order for the 1/2 round window 21"x48" ($800) has never been installed and was ordered January 24, 2024, with the windows. All you hear from Joe is excuses and here it is April 2025 (over a year) and cannot get this job completed. I wish I had read all the reviews for this company before I signed the contract!!
