I wish all of my interactions were as seamless, professional, and enjoyable, as transacting business with Laney. Perhaps a bit of background will better illustrate my enthusiasm. I have always admired AE's timeless quality, comfort, and aesthetic, and could not pass up on the deals available in AE's recent tent sale. But, this being my first purchase of AE shoes, I had very little, if any, knowledge of my foot's fit relative to a 5 last. A master shoe fitting would have been ideal, but, with the end of not disparaging, while giving praise to another, my circumstances effectively required me to take a leap of faith regarding the last's fit on my foot and principally rely upon objective criteria from a Brannock device. I enthusiastically dialed AE's Freeport Outlet. Laney answered the phone after two rings and processed my entire order within 6 minutes--impressive! I ordered a pair of 8D Walnut Strands and Black Park Avenues, and two AE aromatic cedar shoetrees. The shoes arrived in five business days from Port Washington, and the entire experience was perfect--well, except for my foot not fitting the 5 last in 8D. Feeling a bit defeated, but optimistic, I called Laney. As always, she was professional and sympathetic about my situation. She sent me a return label, took my order for two pairs of 7.5Ds, and, upon the returned shoes' arrival in Freeport, processed my exchange. Presumably the 7.5Ds would fit, right? Fast-forward three weeks later, after three orders placed, three exchanges processed, three pairs that did not fit my oddly shaped foot, and consistently exceptional service from Laney, I finally found a perfect fit--7EE. AE sartorial veterans and neophytes alike need to take further notice of Laney Johnson, and the world-class experience she delivers to her clients daily. Despite crafting some of the best shoes available on the market, what will make me an AE customer for life is my experience with Laney. Thank you, Laney!

The tags can be confusing at times to know what the promotions are but just ask a staff member. Everyone seemed nice, greeted upon entering and all that. They have variety selections from adults to kids. There were many families in there shopping for Sandals and shoes for vacation it sounded like! I was looking for crocs in my size and color combo i liked but to no avail. Prices were near full price on most of them. The sales for BOGO i didn't understand much but my size wasn't available anyways.

We were specifically looking for sandals and found their prices were $30 and up. One would think that in November their season ending clearance sales would be a better deal. Are they going to store these and sell them in the Spring? On a positive note there is a vast selection of shoes available. So, if you don't know exactly what you are looking for and just want to see what brands are available then stop by Famous Footwear, but if you are looking for a deal then maybe this isn't the place to go!

All new merchandise from their closed Palm Beach, Nantucket and Boston stores. MAC jeans, Bogner, Buretta, Paul Mayer shoes, and a custom slipper with the LA freeway map....out the door with me. Beautiful setting, professional, knowledgeable service, and a selection of merchandise unlike anything else in Freeport, or Maine for that matter. This store has two floors, first floor is mostly women's and second floor houses the men's apparel, children's, and items w/ additional discount. Workers are pretty helpful from what I've experienced and always super kind. They seem to have good inventory of all sizes, which is why I LOVE COMING HERE! Highly recommend!

Better than TNF outlets closer to home.

I snagged one of the Three Potato Four keychains for $11, which I thought was reasonable. Every staff member we met was so incredibly friendly, so even if you don't buy anything, just browsing is still fun. They ask if you need help, wish you good morning, but it doesn't feel too constant which can sometimes happen elsewhere.

Obviously I would never hold that against the store or let it affect their rating. However, when I went inside and explained to the greeter that a vehicle had been hit and asked if she wanted to check whether the victim was one of their employees, she said that employees typically don't park in that lot, customers do, and seemed very unconcerned. When I said I just wanted to let someone know in case the victim came inside and could she tell them that I called the police and gave them the person's license plate, the employee asked me if I wanted her to call a manager out. I was just really put off by that as this is the first point of contact for people entering the store and I just genuinely wanted to try and help. We did spend some time in the store and in the compound. I like that they have an entire section where you can customize products and gifts and have them embroidered. I haven't seen that before and I thought it was really neat. I didn't care for any of the products that they were offering at that time which qualified for the embroidery, but if that's something you're looking for, they offer it here. They also had dog items and the store is dog friendly. We brought our pup in with us but again she just didn't find any toys that were the right size or that she was interested in. The trip here was kind of a bust for us but I can see why some people might enjoy shopping here. We were told by another traveler that this is a great place to stop for deals, but I didn't see many of those either. There's a campus comprised of multiple buildings and that was a bit confusing. It also seems like it would be easier just to have everything under one roof, but that's just me personally.
