See the "filtered" reviews as well, I know these folks and they are indeed legit. Crossfit Ignite has moved to a bigger location in the heart of Park Ridge, It's even better than before! I took the Ignite Express class which is essentially the same as a HIIT class. Crossfit Ignite offers your first class FREE! You've got nothing to lose! This location is slightly difficult to find... there was not a ton of signage outside. So keep a close eye out for it! There is a small check in area to sign in. Note: There was no one there to guide me through the check in process, but just find your name and check in... simple enough. Next up is the shared locker room with cubbies to keep your belongings. Then onto where the magic happens... is only one spacious work out room which has a cool street vibe with graffiti on the walls. This is where I was greeted by an employee. I def stood out as a newcomer it seems to be a small studio where everyone knows everyone else. Throughout the class she made sure to check on me/demo moves. The people in the class are good vibes too. Almost everyone in the class came up to me before, during, or after the class to introduce themselves/chat. It was also a huge age range. That is one of my fave things about HIIT you do as much as you can at any variation within the time frame given. Again, I did really enjoy the actual work out. I felt challenged and v sore the next day. Two improvement items would be more pump up music... The music was kept at a p low volume throughout the entire class.. I don't need blaring music, but I like it a little loud. Basically worked out to the sounds of grunting, heavy breathing, and dropping of weights. Also I wish there were more Ignite Express Classes. There are only 3 each week and 2 of them are in the middle of the day so if you have a normal 9-5ish job... you can only go to the one on Saturday. This is the only thing keeping me from buying an unlimited specialty classes membership.

My surgeon cleared me to begin working with a personal trainer at four weeks post-op, and since I had dropped in a few classes with IFA last Spring, I knew where to go. Saro listened to my doctor's orders/restrictions and focused on helping me stabilize my core muscles at first while (not so subtly) teaching me solid long term lifestyle habits to make the effects of this surgery count for the long haul. I started seeing him once a week in September and have had 12 personal training sessions. In that time my endurance has shot threw the roof, I can almost squat my max and I can do (assisted) pull ups for the first time in my life!! (My butt also looks great ) Most importantly, I feel like I am in the best shape of my life. I have slowly increased to 6 training days a week, varying my workouts. I could not have gotten here so quickly or been so strong without the instruction of the coaches at IFA. I've started integrating into the classes now that I have recovered from the surgery and I really feel like part of a team. Anyone in the Rockland Area looking for a team environment where you will be challenged at a level customized to you, should give IFA a shot. The results speak for themselves.

Coming from Equinox, I was impressed by the similar modern vibe and high-end amenities they offer, though the products are not identical. The facility is exceptionally clean and modern, featuring a great selection of classes, a dry sauna, and even a convenient juice bar. I particularly love their flexible membership options that don't lock you into a long-term commitment. It's an excellent value proposition and a fantastic option for anyone seeking luxury fitness without the heavy price tag.

For some reason Drop Fitness doesn't open until 7AM on weekends! So you lost me there. I also noticed they close very early M-F and even earlier on the weekends. So I took a couple of classes and the yoga room was enormous- for such a small gym I don't see why they need a yoga room the size of a basketball court. Then I took a class with Joanna "JoJo" who might have been having a bad day or is just not well mannered but either she was unprofessional and her attitude was very unattractive. Came across like she is better than everyone else and snobby- not my cup of tea. Pro's- the gym is pretty clean, the locker rooms are nice (but no steamer) and the members seem like they have a nice vibe. I joined LifeTime instead as operating hours are very important to me and I can't take classes with instructors who carry themselves like that.

CrossFit is challenging and gratifying, and the environment at CFTR makes it a perfect place to work out. The owners, Dan, Pat, and Justin have created a community that is welcoming of all CrossFit skill levels. Their coaching style is hands on and supportive, which helps a ton when you're trying to squeeze out 50 or 75 burpees or learn handstand push-ups. The fact that CFTR is located in a Gold's Gym is a major plus in that, as a CFTR member, you are entitled to use certain of Gold's facilities, including the showers (a rarity for most CrossFit boxes). This place is nothing short of top rate.

I'm glad to have found this gym, and have gained nothing but progress and knowledge from their instruction. The programming is sound, and you can decide if it is what is for you as it is listed on their website, just as many other affiliates do. The facility is perfect and well equipped. Location is ideal. The coaches exhibit their sincere interests in helping people find progress in their fitness, whatever their goals may be. From what I've heard of Crossfit, I had different expectations, and find that these coaches do it correctly. Every affiliate is different, and everyone's needs may follow. For me, Crossfit The Rack serves my ambitions well, as I witness, everyone else who is a part of this family.
