The employers here are very professional as well. There's been a few times where I wasn't able to locate a particular item and was assisted almost immediately by a team member. Their items are always fresh and they do a great job rotating their inventory from those closest to expiration up front and newer items in the back. There have been a few times where I've picked up yogurt that expired 1 or 2 days after its printed date, but other than those experiences, I've never had a serious issue. This Safeway location works pretty efficiently where self-check out is on one end of the store and on the other is a lane opened for 10 items or less. All other check-out lanes are available to anyone. There hasn't really been an issue with handling long lines or having to wait long either. I also recommend participating in the Monopoly Game Board whenever it comes along. I've won gift card prizes before and it's a nice way to earn coupons, discounts and money back after purchasing groceries. There's also a rewards program affiliated for in-store discounts as well as gas discounts whenever you enter your phone-number affiliated with the account. I would definitely like to consider this Safeway as one of the better locations in the area and will continue to support their business. UPDATE with COVID19: Supplies are limited with toilet paper and cleaning supplies. Food supplies are decent and employees are working really hard to restock produce and supplies. I forgot to take a picture, but these carts are something out of the future. It's similar how Amazon fresh that you scan prices put them in your cart and pay for them then walk out the door. These carts add up your groceries as you put the items into it. They even have a scale on the bottom to weigh your produce. Even with other items in your cart! You can throw your purse in the cart and hit a button that says personal item and it won't affect the count. I'm not sure whether this is new, but there was an employee that was demonstrating the Features to my friend and I and if you used it, you would get a free grocery bag. My husband always picks up chicken Chesapeake sausage when available. There is an ice cream case and a refrigerator case with yoghurt and other dairy products. My neighbor mentioned she was looking for raw milk to make cheese and we think they carry it along with fresh eggs. We always go to pick up bread and sausage and end up with two grocery bags full of irresistible items.

Employee knocked again, they took their time and finished what they were doing and came out. The lady also waiting to make a return behind me was complaining that their customer service is the worst at this location and they make simple things difficult. Someone was finally coming over to help me, customer behind me warned me that the person coming was not nice...she was correct. From there, she would not give me cash back for the return even after verifying my phone number. I had a receipt (proof of purchase) and they were giving me a hard time. I did not have the exact card my mom paid for with me, She would not do the return. I wasted 30min and another 20min driving there and went home with the item in hand to tell my handicapped mother she had to go in and make the return herself. There was no care or customer service. Manager apologized to person behind me for having to explain to me why they couldn't give me a return stating it was for security reasons. This makes no sense. We don't need this kind of security of making a simple small return with receipt and verification this difficult. I told the lady helping me that I would leave them a not so great review because there was no customer service -she shrugged and didn't seem to care. Better management is needed and customers are what is keeping your stores in business, they should be treated with more care and respect.
