$18 old fashioned with a full sugar packet. Nice atmosphere but didn't feel welcomed so we took a walk. The bar had two people sitting there when we walked in, the bartender came over and my wife asked if they have something bubbly, "no" the bartender says and then just stared at her waiting for the next question. My wife ordered her drink and I ordered a local old fashioned. I give credit to bartenders that have to make it work with what they have but Spencer's shouldn't have it on the menu and charge $18 when you're going to use a packet of sugar. The bartender was making another drink for someone else and opened 6 coffee creamer packs for it. For the price of the drinks, quality ingredients should be used. read more

It's kinda cool looking. More of an old saloon feel. Well at least the bar looks that way. We ate there 2 nights. The first night service was very good. The second night was ok but I will say the waiter found me because I left my coat. Kiddos to him. The drinks were very good and not over priced. I had a Manhattan one night and the second night I had a Grey Goose Martini with three olives. Now to the food. It was just perfect both nights. Sandwiches , chili and just cheesy nachos. Everything tasted good and plenty even when we shared sandwiches. It was ending to our busy days. This was a fun unplanned stop for a quick drink one date night. We tried another local spot and the service was so terrible that we just had to leave. My husband remembered this place and so we decided to give it a try. We only stopped in for one drink and it was quite enjoyable. There was a bit of a line do to their COVID restrictions, but it went pretty fast. I imagine trying to sit and eat there would be much more challenging because the seating is extremely limited. Just for drinks is perfect though because after you purchase them you can take them anywhere on the hotel property. We took them to the patio and enjoyed a peaceful relaxing drink. The bartender was also nice and working very hard. In a small English Village in Shepherd's Bush, a popular pub called the lions den. The owner Daniel Hollings commissioned George Spencer to build this bar in 1887. Refer to PHOTOS. The staff was very friendly and shared more information about the bar. The bar was shipped in 3 pieces and reassembled. Also the Clock was not original but it looks original. read more

Just having drinks while waiting for dinner. We just had drinks so this will be short!! I had the Prickly Pear Margarita and it is now my favorite margarita ever. This review is directly associated with their food, not their bar or drinks. Honestly, the worst meal I've had in a long time. It was getting late and the kids needed to go to bed, so instead of hitting the town for dinner we ordered from Spencer's so we didn't have to leave the hotel and drag the kids out. The food was awful. My wife ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad. She took one bite and spit it out. She said something tastes spoiled. So I took a bite assuming it was just her and I also spit it out. Something was rancid in that salad! I couldn't believe how bad it tasted. I don't know what it was but it tasted awful. So moving on I told my wife she could split my Southwest Nachos with me. The Nachos were cold which was really disappointing, and not even sure howit was cold. They said the food would be ready in 15 minutes and we went down 5 minutes after the call and waited for the food. So we didn't show up late or anything. So how were the nachos that cold? Were they made hours ago and they just gave that to me? and even worse the chicken was mushy/slimy and also cold. I was afraid to eat any more chicken so we just ate the cold, soggy cheese chips. My son got the chicken quesadilla and we took it from him because I couldn't chance him eating that chicken and us being on vacation and him getting sick. So essentially we all went hungry tonight. Worst food I've ever had. We had such a great trip to Williams and this really ruined our last night. And this is an honest review. I wouldn't jeopardize my Yelp elite status with nonsense claims. Just check my review history. I never give 1 stars unless it's deserved and I feel need to protect people from going places if they're looking at Yelp for suggestions. And sorry no pictures. We spent the night at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel and decided to eat here because the weather was a bit cold and did not feel like driving into Williams. Their historic bar is a beautiful work of art as are the paintings. Food was adequate- quesadillas were well made large enough to share. The prickly pear margarita was very good. We were staying at the hotel and it was snowing, so we decided just to get dinner at the pub inside instead of going out. I got a French dip sandwich, which I usually love, but this was less than mediocre. There was very little meat and it just wasn't very good. My child got a quesadilla with cheese only. The menu didn't say and the server didn't mention (knowing it was for a child) it was on a chipotle tortilla, so that was a bit of a surprise. The server also seemed overwhelmed and as if she needed more help. If I stay at the hotel again I won't be eating at the pub. read more

Love this bar! Great service and delicious desserts. It is a shame they were made to put up plastic covid barriers in front of the beautiful bar. The tiramisu is delicious and they gave us generous portions. Very happy with the prickly pears we ordered. Visiting Spencers was a perfect end to our day. read more

This is inside the grand railway hotel. They have super friendly staff and the space itself is small enough that it's not going to get too loud but large ey that you don't feel cramped. We had pretzel bites and a cheese pizza and some drinks. They have Arizona stronghold wine and some cool Arizona spirits that they use in specially cocktails, both of which were great! They have traditional wines and liquors as well. I read the bad review before we went there but it didn't deter me. Who expects top shelf Poor's for happy hour prices? We travel a bit and have kids in tow so I can say with confidence that this is nicer, cleaner, faster, better tasting, and more family friendly than any hotel chain that we've been to. They even gave us some empty wine glasses to take up to the room! Super appreciated! We plan on doing the Polar Express again next year and we will definitely be eating here again when we do!! read more
