I've been blessed with nice eyelashes, but never had curl nor have I ever been motivated enough to use an eyelash curler. Jessie didn't say much and we didn't have any conversation, but it didn't make for a bad experience. Since I knew what to expect, the process was quick and easy. Jessie set it up, came back to check on me a few times, and made it an easy, pain-free process. Afterwards, when i checked my lashes, they looked amazing! The best lift that I've had in awhile and especially in this area. You do have to put down a deposit to make your appointment, but it goes toward your appointment, so you only need to pay the difference. Overall, I had a positive experience and my lash lift lasted a good 8 weeks. I definitely recommend and would like to go back (though it is a bit far for me!).

I got my extensions done by Esther and they look so good! She made them look so natural. I love that I don't have to wear any eye makeup--the lashes really open up my eyes. She does such a good job that I can go over a month between refills. Although Esther told me that she has other clients that come every two weeks. So it must be that I take good care of them too. (Esther gave me a spoolie to take home and lessons on how to brush my lashes out to keep them from looking wonky.). I have another friend who lives in Bellevue who gets hers done elsewhere and she says she takes care of her lashes but that they start looking like gang signs if she goes even three weeks. Lol! I really recommend Esther. She is very detailed and she has a soothing voice and a soothing touch. I feel very relaxed and beautiful after my appointments with her.

Dear everyone who has never gotten a lash lift - please go elsewhere!…read more I never write negative reviews unless I truly believe there is a risk a business poses to its patrons. But, after my experience here, I feel obligated warn others. I went into MJ Brow and Skin for my first ever lash lift a few days before my wedding. Huge mistake on my part to do it so close, but that was the only time everything aligned with all the other things I was doing for the wedding. I wish I had looked up the procedure beforehand, but it wasn't on the top of my mind before my wedding. When I arrived for my appointment, I let MJ know this was my first lash lift and all she basically said was "great!" And then motioned for me to lay down on the table. I assumed maybe she would tell me what was normal and what wasn't while in the process of doing my lashes, but she was quiet the entire time. Immediately, I noted how incredibly rough she was with my eyes. I've had LASIK, so I'm more sensitive, but I would have been concerned even if I hadn't. Quickly into her starting, I began to feel burning. I shrugged internally and thought it was normal given she didn't warn me ahead of time that I should tell her if anything burned. After the entire process was complete she allowed me to open my eyes to look at my lashes. Immediately I noticed that the entire world was blurry no matter how much I blinked. I could only see things clearly that were right by my face. Once again, I reasoned that since my eyes had been closed for 45+ minutes, I had just been poked and prodded, and I had foreign chemicals on my eyes this likely was normal and would go away soon. She told me to call if I had any side effects or questions. I thanked her and then began to make my way home. Thank goodness I live close enough to walk, because there would have been no way I could have possibly driven! After no change by the time I got home I looked up (with my phone almost touching my nose because I couldn't see it otherwise) if burning and blurriness were normal symptoms after a lash lift. Turns out, neither are and Dr. Google recommends going to urgent care/the ER if these symptoms last. I decided that I would call MJ just to chat with her since she was a professional and probably would have some advice. She didn't pick up, and so I left a message explaining what was going on and asked her to call me back. After a couple of hours, my symptoms not improving at all, and no word from MJ, I called my sister in law who is a PA. She recommended that I go to the ER when my partner got home with the car and call the lash place again to get the name of the chemicals used in the treatment just in case the ER staff needed it. I called MJ Brow & Skin again, and once again no answer. I left another message asking her to call me back ASAP since I was going to the ER and I needed the name of the chemicals. Now, almost two months later I have still not heard from her! Multiple hours later when my now husband got home, I was in tears. My vision was still blurry, but I didn't want to pay for the ER bill after I had just paid a stupid amount for this woman to burn my eyeballs and then promptly ghost me right before my wedding!! Because my eyes weren't a glaring red and the burning had subsided - they were just dry and blurry - I decided to sleep on it and see if they got better. The next day they seemed to be improving slightly. Over the next couple of weeks they did improve, but my vision has never gotten back to normal. On top of all of this, she also either over-permed one side of my lashes or used an incorrect rod size (see photos). Boy was it hard to put mascara on during my wedding day!!! I also talked with a coworker about my experience and she gasped when she realized she had a really similar experience at the same place. However, MJ actually picked up when she called. Instead of offering advice or a refund, though, MJ blamed my coworker for not telling her that her eyes weren't burning and said it was her fault. Please go elsewhere if you can!
