I came to Spellbound today for the first time and had a fantastic experience, from start to finish! I am not local to Flagstaff, so I had looked at a few lash salons on Yelp and thought the pictures from here looked best...I was not disappointed! I got in quickly for an appt, and when I arrived, I greeted promptly with no wait time. The girl who did my lashes (so sorry I did not catch her name) was super friendly and fun to chat with. They had nice music on in the background, I was comfortable in the chair, and most importantly, my lashes look fantastic! I opted for the hybrid and when she was done, they were perfectly filled...not too full but not too light! I'm so glad to know I have a great place to go when I am visiting the area and highly recommend their services! Also, the prices are great!! Very much encourage you to check them out!! read more

I got my eyebrows done by Maizy, and she's amazing! She listened to the look I wanted and we put together the shape and coloring together. It doesn't look unnatural, just filled in and perfectly shaped with no more effort in the mornings! I do appreciate the offer to fix them, but as I said, if it cannot be done in a timely manner, I would rather go elsewhere so I'm not walking around with half lashes. The purpose of Yelp is to review services, and when they fall short, how business owners respond. Optimal customer service would be recognizing that it is abnormal for lashes to fall off this much this quickly, and instead of trying to blame the glue or allergic reaction which didn't happen previously, help the client. Wasn't asking for anything free, just the possibility to accommodate me quickly, which could not happen. That is totally ok, but again, something a client like myself would appreciate in this situation and why I shared it. My frustration with the lack of consistency with the style of the lashes is that Darius specifically said she'd make a note about the lash style and length she used, therefore it seems those notes maybe were not read, or if they were, not honored. I understand different technicians have different styles, that's why I said it depends on who you go to and that I would return to Darius. Also, I find the message below inconsistent, as it says they would be willing to fix the lashes, but I got a private message asking if I wanted to cancel the appointment I made for next Friday. That seems like an indirect way of telling me I'm not welcome to return because I wrote an honest account of my experience. There are very few places in Flagstaff to get eyelash extensions, and since there are so few reviews here, I'll share my experience since I feel as though this rating might be higher than it should be due to lack of competition. The salon is nice and the prices are fair. I had gotten a classic set by Kyla last year, but found them too natural looking, so this time opted for hybrid. They were first done by Darius, who was awesome. I explained I wanted a truly hybrid look - full, yet more on the natural side, and not heavy or obvious. She achieved the look as requested and I have attached a photo. I came in for a mini fill about 9 days later just because a few had fallen off towards the end, giving an imbalanced look. Kyla performed the service, and although Darius had stated she would put the lash length and type in my notes for the next person, Kyla did a much denser and more artificial look. Photo also attached. I could live with it. But, it hasn't even been a week, and most the lashes have fallen out. My real lashes didn't go with it, so I know it's not normal shedding or me rubbing them. Now I have huge gaps which look extra funny when half the lashes are super dark and thick. I will be going to another salon to have them fixed since Kyla could not accommodate to resolve the issue in a timely manner. I would likely go back to Darius in the future, so I think it just depends on who you go to, how well they listen to your desired outcome, and what your aesthetic is. read more

I hate leaving negative reviews but I feel I have to in this instance. I never had eyelash extensions before so I was really looking forward to it. Although the lashes I ended up getting weren't exactly the ones I had picked out, I was still very happy with the way they looked when I left. I purchased the eyelash wash and brush ($10) and I followed all of the rules as far as not touching your eyelashes, not getting them wet for 24 hours, not using any eyeliner or makeup, or any face wash and stuff with oil etc. Lashes started coming out the next day and by day 5 most of the lashes were gone! (See photo). I got in touch with someone at the business to find out what may be going on and see how we can fix it because this can't be normal. She apologized for the experience and told me it could be several things like the lashes being too heavy for your regular lashes or from humidity etc. But they wouldn't know for sure until they saw them in person. She did offer to give me a free fill in but I'm over an hour away and cannot make it in this week. I also don't want to invest more time and money to fix it when it shouldn't have happened in the first place. For that reason, I cannot recommend this place based on my poor experience but hopefully others have a better one. $140 is A LOT of money for me to spend on something like this and I am beyond disappointed that my results were so poor. read more

Spent over $200 on lashes that only lasted three days. The extensions just slid off my natural lashes without me doing anything but blinking. So I immediately contacted the salon, as something had to be wrong with the lashes. But what was most disappointing was that I reached out twice when the lashes began to fall off and never got a reply either time. read more
