I really appreciate being able to text them since I don't necessarily want to answer a phone call at a random time when I might be busy. Paid for move-in bundle clean. Specified kitchen was one of our priorities and that we wanted all the cabinets cleaned inside and out. They spent the least amount of time in the kitchen. Pulled out one of the drawers and saw all the dirt was just pushed to the back. Countertops still have dirt on them. When we asked the cleaners if they were going to clean the windows, they said unless we asked for that prior to their arrival, they won't do it. For what we paid for, as well as it being a completely empty house, I expected more. Update 8/26/19: I have emailed and called the company multiple times and no one has yet to reach back with me. We had a kitchen renovation that left our house a dusty mess. My family and I lived in temporary housing and we were worried about coming home to a dirty house. Thanks to Spekless, I was able to schedule for the day before our move back home. Unfortunately, the construction crew still had finishing touches to do on the day that I scheduled cleaning, so Spekless allowed their cleaning crew to start with the rooms that were not being worked on and then they came back another day for the kitchen and rest of the house. We've been monthly cleaning customers for the last ~6 months. They send one woman, who is on time, courteous and communicative and cleans for 2-2.5 hours. It appears to be the same woman now for the last several months, which is very nice as she knows us and how to get around our complex. We are very security conscious - we have security cameras (and of course let the maid know from the get go) and can attest that the service is thorough and professional! The things that differentiate Maid Magic for us is the customer service - I've had to move more than one appointment and they are great about it - and the narrow arrival time slot. For a working professional, I can't afford to be late to the office waiting for someone to arrive at our home. In addition, though we admittedly are fairly clean and try to pick up before the maid arrives, she is able to get a good cleaning in. It passes the mother in law test. Moreover, their website is very professional and I can do everything I need to online. Simple, easy, and dang, it's nice to come home to a clean home. If they did laundry too, I would literally pay them double, but unfortunately many services do not offer this. Alas, one can dream. read more

Nearly a year later and I'm still giving 5 stars. We use Maid Magic twice a month for a clean of the home. We have had the same cleaner every time bar one. She is trusted and brilliant. The one time she couldn't make it the standards slipped below our satisfaction and Maid Magic scheduled a free clean the very next working day. They even guaranteed our cleaner will be the one they use for our house (or will reschedule for a day when she can make it). Love them. I paid extra for the "move-in cleaning package" as we just bought the house. The house was literally empty. Very disappointing. Paid for deep cleaning of my downstairs and they didn't do the job that other services would do on a regular schedule. They made bed but left the shams and decorative pillows on the floor, they didn't vacuum inside closet or up against walls. Nothing was straightened and I find it hard to believe that they were able to dust and magically get everything in the house back into the EXACT same spot. Other item expected in a deep clean were ignored. Blinds were not touched. Hand mirror in bathroom was not cleaned. Small floor rug was not vacuumed under. Towels on racks were not straightened. I was excited to try Maid Magic after the rave reviews that I saw here, but unfortunately- I didn't have the same experience. I reached out via their online chat system twice without response before calling to inquire. I spoke with a receptionist and went through all available options- deep cleaning, hourly, etc. We spoke at length because I felt mine was a unique situation. I explained that although I lived in a 4/3, I only needed 2 of the rooms cleaned (1 is used for storage and the other an office I wanted left alone). She said that even though 2 rooms wouldn't be touched, I still needed to book a 4/3 deep clean, but the price would be adjusted after the cleaners. We discussed the booking price, as well as what would be the final. I quickly received an email confirmation and continued to receive notifications until the day of my scheduled cleaning, with each listing the same 2-person team. I was excited to see names that I recognized from other reviews and thought it was going to be great! Fast forward to the day of cleaning, I answer the door to a team of 3 (one of which was VERY young). I tried not to think anything of it and we did a walkthrough, where I explained again that 2 of the rooms were to be completely untouched. I let them know that the most important thing to me were floors and bathrooms. Let me state very clearly that the ladies were incredibly nice and what they did great- was GREAT! My bathrooms sparkled, and the floors looked amazing- but I admittedly wasn't looking very closely at other details during the final walkthrough. It wasn't until about 10min later that I was in the kitchen looking into the living room, when I realized the décor on my mantle was rearranged. I went to reorganize it and thought it a little odd, so I decided to go through the rest of the house. Everything had been completely rearranged. This was a bit of an inconvenience, but I still thought it wasn't *that* big of a deal? I'd never done this before, so I figured I'd mention it next time and just move on. That night, I received a notification from my bank that the payment had posted, but it hadn't been adjusted for the 2 rooms that the ladies didn't even enter. I waited a day or so, then called the office to inquire- speaking to a different receptionist. We spoke about the scheduling process and payment, at which point she referenced my team of 2 and said that it actually should have cost less than what I was initially quoted... what? I explained that I actually had 3 cleaners, and then how I felt uncomfortable with the fact that they had no record of who was in my home. She was confused and said she would call me back. The owner then calls me, also very confused about the entire situation and completely unaware that my cleaning crew had been switched to a team of 3. It was at this point that I went over all the concerns that I'd been holding my tongue on- the worker's age, rearranging of items, the conflicting booking process and payment info from various employees, including him. Instead of taking ownership, he pointed the finger at his team of receptionists. When pressed again, he said he recalled *now*- they thought my job was a big one which is why they switched my crew. He didn't at any point give me a clear answer on why this was not communicated to me. He couldn't explain except to say that this was not normal and that I just so happened to "experience the perfect storm" of issues...? I reiterated to him that what the crew did great was GREAT, but that this utter confusion was making me apprehensive to work with them again. He explained that I was quoted inaccurately and offered to take off $10/room that the ladies did not enter. I explained that while the 2 rooms did not significantly affect the square footage of common areas, I thought it fair to pay what I was quoted in my very first call if it was in fact an office mistake. He did agree to honor that price, which I thanked him for, and then I decided to give it one more try and rebook. Over the next few days, I spoke with my boyfriend about the entire situation and we decided to cancel and explore other options, the biggest issue being that we were told a certain team would be in our home and an entirely different team came. That would have been fine had it been communicated, but that seemed to be a challenge for this company. There was SO much confusion from the office and because our goal was to find a recurring cleaning company, this lack of communication just didn't sit well with us. It may have been the perfect storm of issues... it may have been an off week... whatever the case, it was all enough to make me explore other companies. This opinion has nothing to do with the actual crew that came to my home, but I wanted to give an honest review of my experience with the office because I think that is equally important when deciding who you invite into your home. read more
