Speedy Drain was excellent. Adam fixed a leak in our bathroom and reinstalled our water pressure regulator quickly and professionally--after our home insurance vendor tried a couple of times and actually made things worse. Adam showed up on time, was friendly and easy to work with, and his pricing was very fair. He explained everything clearly, and the work was done right the first time. I think this is a family-based business and we'll definitely be using Speedy Drain again and will always be his customers. Highly recommended. read more

Toilet kept clogging up, called them day after Christmas and they came the next morning. Assumed it was tree roots in my old sewage pipes but turned out an initially unidentifiable item (google search identified later as a part from my Tineco vacuum mop) had fallen in while emptying the dirty mop water end got stuck in the plumbing. Service was quick, knowledgeable, friendly and very reasonable price! Highly recommend them! read more

I used Speedy Drain for the first time this week and AJ has become my favorite plumber! He could teach a course in customer service!! AJ returned my call in less than an hour and accommodated my scheduling request for taking care of a slow kitchen drain. He arrived promptly within the two-hour window he had promised and was upbeat, pleasant, friendly and professional. He assessed the issue, cleared the drain, cleaned up and handed me a very reasonable invoice, all in well under an hour. I am so glad that I called Speedy Drain and I am happy to add my voice to the chorus of positive reviews. read more

AJ from Speedy Drain was simply a pleasure to work with! We needed someone to replace our bathroom fixtures and found Speedy Drain through a recommendation from our local hardware store. The reviews are true! AJ came to our place as scheduled and on time, gave us a fair quote, and some good advice on what fixtures to purchase (with regard to plumbing connections and quality). He then immediately started and completed the work. He was exceptionally professional, courteous, and straight forward. We will definetly work with him again and highly recommend his services!!! read more

Before finding AJ and Ben at Speedy Drain I had used several other plumbers - the joy of having an extremely old house. AJ has always been able to take care of my plumbing issues in a timely manner and at an extremely fair price. They were recommended to me by a family that has lived in Monterey for many years, and I in turn have recommended them without reservation to folks that need a good plumber. read more

I have been using Speedy Drain for many years. They are the best! The original owner, Ben, was fabulous, and so is his son, AJ, who now owns the business. Their prices are extremely reasonable (especially compared to the local franchises), your calls are answered or returned by the owner, and they stand by their work. I highly recommend Speedy Drain. read more

MJ is the best. My renters had a large leak in the kitchen, they had to close the main to stop it. Called MJ and he made time from his busy schedule to go and fix the problem. He did work in my other rentals and always did a great job read more

Recently moved to the area and this is the first time I've needed a plumber. Called multiple places for a toilet leak, heard back from most but not all. A couple quotes were quite high; one even said they would not do the work unless the toilet was completely replaced; that would've been unnecessary because it was only a matter of some corroded screws basically. AJ gave a totally fair assessment, gave me an appointment less than 24 hours from when I called, and was all around responsive and professional. He guarantees his work for 2 months. So if something happens and the work doesn't hold up, I'll update this review. But so far so good. I assume that I will be calling him again whenever the need arises. read more

We recently moved to the area and discovered a few issues with low water pressure in one of the bathrooms. AJ and Ben of Speedy Drain came highly recommended from the neighbors, and we are so glad we went with them. Service was fast, reliable, and reasonably priced. Quick, reasonable, professional and 1 month warranty! Trust my post and have AJ come fix your plumbing problem. I had a reputable company come to fix my drain clog. After several hours of their failed attempt and an exorbitant charge, they advised to replace pipes and what not. I then hired AJ. AJ was punctual, extremely professional and unclogged my drain in less than half hour. He also charged me less than what he had quoted initially. AJ is my new go-to plumber for sure. His 1 month warranty at no extra charge demonstrates his accountability to ensure his job did what was needed. read more

A.J. was friendly, and got the job done in a snap. We are definitely calling him again when we run into our next bout of plumbing trouble.

A.J. is great. We had a drain problem in our kitchen sink and he was the person who could schedule the earliest appointment. Not only that but when he arrived he quickly diagnosed the problem and had all the tools to quickly fix the problem. He took the time to ensure that he fixed the blockage before leaving. Super fast availability and service, great communication, reasonable rates, and friendly. Our new go-to for drain problems!

AJ & Ben were fast & friendly. Fixed my leaky pipe before other plumbers could even look at it.

We've been customers of Speedy Drain for almost thirty years and have always had excellent service Unfortunately not this time. It took three separate appointment times till they finally came. First appointment was cancelled and second appointment they forgot their ladder. When they came they worked on our clogged drains and ran our washing machine to make sure it drained and did not overflow. Unfortunately we have an old washer and they smacked the knob with their fist rather hard several times to stop the machine. After they left we started a load of wash and our machine stopped mid cycle. We tried several more times and it still did not run full cycle. We called our trusty repairman. He explained that the timer had been broken due to excessive force in turning the machine off, and was too expensive to be worth it to fix. We are now stuck with a machine where we are still guessing where to start a load so it will run a full cycle. We talked to Speedy Drain about it, and they claim no responsibility, saying they did not know anything about washing machines. We also still have a sink that is clogged , and for them to work on that, they claimed it was an extra fee. Whenever they came before, all clogs were taken care of for one price. So we are left with a broken washer and a clogged sink, and we've been excellent customers of theirs for almost thirty years. So very disappointed. We were not asking for them to replace our washer, just refund the fee we paid. Guess it is time to find a new service. read more
