I had a bad experience with a handy man who was supposed to fix my shower leak and water heater. Amado happened to be the first peraon I reached out to as had great reviews on Yelp and immediately I had a good feeling about him. He was friendly, informative, and communicated well. Within days of contacting him he came out in person to give a quote and had him place a new shower head, fix the leak, new water heater and ran a water line for a fridge. He had everything done in one day! His pricing is fair, and he is simply a genuine person and stands behind his work. I highly recommend him and would call him if anything happens in my home! read more

Our toilet backed up into the bathtub, after hours of trying to fix it, we knew we needed to call a professional out! Amado to the rescue. He came over on a Saturday morning to fix it. He was so knowledgeable and provided fast service. We called at 10am on a saturday morning and he was at our house with the issue resolved before 11am! read more

Amado is AAAA-MAAAA-ZING!!! Kitchen sink & toilet totally clogged...he arrived in less than 3 hours & worked harder in one hour than most people do in a day! Amado is so very polite, professional & personable! His rates are more than fair & his moral compass is admirable! We will DEFINITELY use him in the future for all plumbing needs!!! read more

Just had an issue with our disposer. Called Amado Gonzalez. He came right away and fixed the disposer. He did a great job and is such a nice guy as well. Save his number when you have any plumbing issues. 831-236-5589. He's in Marina. read more

We tried this plumber for the first time today and couldn't be happier!! We had a toilet clog that we couldn't get and he was fast, efficient, and kind. He also didn't price gauge us like others would have. We finally found our go-to plumber. Armando did a great job and we'll definitely be using him again. read more

Amado was polite, professional, and resolved a plugged outside drain issue efficiently on a weekend afternoon when many plumbers were not working. He was fair in his pricing and could not have been nicer to work with. Highly recommend him. read more

They did two jobs for me--replacing my old water softener and replumbing my laundry room. They did both speedily, beautifully, honestly, and economically. The old water softener (and filter) was basically a disaster: the previous installers used 29 elbows(!) and no shutoffs, left scorch marks on the drywall, and didn't even install the coarse sediment filter in the right sequence (should be first, not last)! The new installation is far & away cleaner and more functional. The old laundry room water outlets for both the washer and sink were faucets haphazardly (unevenly offset) sticking out of the wall. The new installation washer outlets are nicely recessed in a laundry box, and the sink outlets are standard under-cabinet sink supply lines. Amado and crew are delightful people: I easily & highly recommend them and will gladly call for any & all future plumbing issues. read more

I called on a Sunday afternoon for an early Monday morning service due to a clogged tub with standing water. Amado and crew at the house before 9 am, in and out fixed the issue in less than 15 minutes. My spouse took apart the tub faucet and they offered to put it all back together. Super nice, very professional, and quick with work. Highly recommend--pricing is also great/competitive and well worth it. read more

What a great Owner, Amado. Five years ago I called Amado for a backed up sink. Problem solved. Three years ago I called for a backed up line in the garage. Problem solved. Today I called because our main line was back up from the street. Amado showed up and cleaned out the line in just over an hour. Amado knew exactly how to solve the problem. He did not try and make a "giant' problem. Amado was honest and very professional. I will always called Amado first for any plumbing issues. Thank you read more

Speedy. Fair. Professional. Great price. Excellent customer service. Skilled. I highly recommend for all of your plumbing needs!!

I had been contending with the shower in my master bathroom where if you turned on any faucet in the house while someone was showering the water would go ice cold or if you flushed a toilet the person would be scalded. I took a chance on these guys because I never heard of them before. Armado and his team came prepared. They had all the correct tools for this job. The price was within range of what I was quoted on the phone and that is a rarity for a job sight unseen. They had my mixer cartridge changed out and a cleaned up work area within an hour and no more freezing or scalding shower. I called a couple other companies and left messages. One in particular I have used before. I won't waste my time with any of them ever again. Armado and his team are my go to from now on. Try them and you will not be disappointed. Thank you gentlemen! read more

The crew showed up on time, corrected the problem within an hour, and gave a 14 day warranty upon completion.

First thing: This is the best plumber I've ever dealt with. Honest, friendly, easy to work with, and fast. Truly a gem. Our toilet developed a crack and started flooding the bathroom. I made the mistake of calling one of the big box stores that offer installation services. Soonest appointment was 2 weeks out, and they delayed it three times before cancelling. They just cancelled it and were like "nobody is available to install it." I called Amado (That Darn Drain) and the new toilet was installed in less than 90 minutes. They took the old toilet out, purchased the new toilet, and did the install, and for less than the box store was going to charge me. I would recommend this business to anyone and everyone. read more

Amado is the man! He and his crew are friendly, fair, and extremely helpful and provide quality work and service. They got our plumbing leak under control and fixed on a Saturday and seemed to go out of their way to help us. My hats off to That Darn Drain! As long as you're in business and I'm in the area, you've got an evangelical customer. I appreciate your communication and follow up which makes the entire process so much better. You are how the trades should operate. Thank you! read more

Quick response, fixed our clogged drain at a reasonable price. Highly recommended for plumbing services.

My shower wouldn't turn off, and Amado took my call, and taught me how to temporarily stop the water so that he could come and fix it! Amado came in and took care of the problem within 10 min. Never calling another plumber again! read more

I should have written this review a long time ago. That Darn Drain has helped us out twice. The first time was in January 2020 to install a new water heater. Amado and his assistant were able to help us out quickly and with excellent, professional service. We were so pleased with the job they did that we called him back when we were ready to install a whole-house water filter system in June of 2020. We would highly recommend That Darn Drain. read more

Amazing service! I called early this morning and he rushed right over to my Grandmother's house to clear her drain. I was at work and didn't expect him to get there and get the job done so fast but he didn't mind. He said I could meet him later on in the day to pay him. Excellent pricing as well. They weren't able to find the main clean out line and needed to go through the roof which is a 2 man job, but he still only charged us for the rate as if he went through the main line. I will always call That Darn Drain for future plumbing issues. read more

I don't usually write reviews, just give star ratings... Amado, Romero and team were great! As a first time customer, I was impressed from first contact all the way until the end of the service. They got to our place as fast as they could, and once onsite, they were professionally friendly and patient. They listened to our concerns and gave honest recommendations. I will definitely reach out to them again for future projects/concerns. read more

Fast, trustworthy service! Such a nice guy. Reasonable rates. He'll show you how to fix it yourself for next time. Honest business.

I'm joining the rest of the 5-star reviews here. We have had a lot of plumbing trouble at our new home, and we've had about 6 different plumbers here for various things. Each was problematic on one or more levels. A couple never followed up after coming out for estimates. There was shoddy work that broke after supposedly being fixed. And frankly a lot of attitude! We finally found our guy. First, Amado is just a classy guy all around. The nicest man you'll meet. So friendly and professional. We needed a water line installed for a new fridge, and it was a bit of a complicated job. He came out to inspect and spent a good half-hour trying to figure it out. He said he wouldn't charge us if he couldn't solve it. But he was able to come back a couple days later when he had time and did an amazing job. He arrived with his brother and nephew, and they were all fantastic, with good Covid protocols, etc. I simply cannot recommend That Darn Drain Plumbing highly enough! read more

Amado came out quickly on short notice and did several different repairs. Super nice guy and reliable with good pricing. If you live in Marina, keep it local and call Amado. read more

There was major blockage causing an overflow in our newly remodeled bathroom. Panicking (and there were some tears) , I looked at Yelp and called the first few highly rated companies. One guy came out and tried to charge me $1200 taking full advantage of the situation. Neighbor practically ran out and said no for me! Another guy said we'd have to pay his commute time...from Carmel to Marina during rush hour and probably would have cost us well over $300 for the commute, work and equipment fee. We randomly looked up local plumbers and thankfully found Amado. He came out within 15 minutes, resolved within 15 mins and price was extremely reasonable! Save your time and tears, and call Amado! read more
