U Do It Auto Repair is a place where one can rent a bay, which includes a lift and tools, to service their vehicles pro se! While the neighborhood where this is located appears to have seen better days, I felt safe in the area. Additionally, the facilities are clean and the staff are always helpful and friendly. I came in for an oil and filter change. After consulting my vehicle's manual for the type and quantity of oil needed, and purchasing my own oil and filter from AutoZone, I made an appointment online for a bay at U Do It. U Do It has a special where they do not charge for doing an oil change on Tuesdays, up to 30 minutes. Otherwise, the bay can be rented by the hour, and prices are reasonable. I arrived at the scheduled day and time. The bay was available and Cruz, the available mechanic that day, directed me in, and lifted my vehicle. After draining the used oil and replacing the plug, I waved him to drop my car back to the ground, where I replaced the filter and poured in new oil. All the necessary tools are there to do the job, as well as shop towels and rags. Cruz was very friendly and helpful, and I very much appreciated his advice and small talk on car repair! Until the time comes when I get a car lift for my own home, I will use U Do It for DIY vehicle repairs and maintenance.

They called me to let me know what they found, what it takes to fix it, and how much it was going to cost me prior to doing anything. They were quick to get it repaired and back to me. I returned to your establishment to address the issue, and you re-did the catalytic converter -- which suggested there was a problem with the first job. Now, a year later, I'm still experiencing the same issue. Multiple independent shops have confirmed that the catalytic converter currently installed is the same one I originally paid to have replaced. Despite all the money I've spent, I'm back to square one with the same unresolved problem. When I returned to your shop again to request accountability, I was turned away and told you would no longer help me. That's not how professional, ethical businesses operate. Customers deserve work that lasts -- or at the very least, honesty and support when problems arise due to substandard service. At this point, I feel taken advantage of. I trusted your expertise and paid in good faith. I am now considering further action, including filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, state consumer protection agencies, and leaving public reviews to warn others. This experience has been extremely disappointing. I hope you reconsider how you handle situations like this in the future and make things right for others going forward.

DO NOT GO TO THIS AUTO SHOP I called the day before to get…read morean estimate for an oil change and tune up for my car 02 Toyota Camry, I gave them the VIN number and everything for the estimate of $200.45, so I made the appointment for the next day, I go to drop off the car and not even 15 minutes later they called me saying that it would cost over $500 for the oil change and tune up, I asked why, they said that 1 spark plug is over $100, yeah right, what happened is that they saw a woman dropping off the car and now they want to take advantage, with a mentality that women don't know anything about cars or even what it cost to maintain them, these people are liars and are only interested in ripping off customers.

I have gone to this shop twice in the last few years…read more The first time was around early 2006 and I brought a 1995 Toyota 4Runner for repair due to an engine oil leak. They did a really good job fixing it in two days and the price was very reasonable. I brought a 2005 Mazda 3 to them about 2 months ago (March 2010). The AC had stopped working on the car. I went to to them one weekday morning and asked them to diagnose the problem. I told them that I had limited time that day. I could not leave the car to them, but would bring it back for repair if needed. I was under the impression that the compressor needed to be replaced based on my research over the internet. They actually started to work on my car almost immediately. A little while later they told me that there was a leak somewhere in the AC system. The freon was completely gone, so the compressor stopped working. They had refilled the freon and it restarted again. They also added some dye into the freon, so they can identify the leak later. In the mean time, since the AC was working fine, the leak maybe very small and just needed to refill freon periodically instead of repair or replace the compressor. I left the place after about 1 hour and 20 minutes. My AC was working fine. I later found out the price they charged me was slightly below the market rate for similar services. The AC is still running strong today. I believe that this is an honest and fair shop that does a good job at taking care of cars. Highly recommended!!

I wanted to take that part home, after all it's my own part. I was supposed to be charged with the labor and the pipe they inserted. They charged me $60 extra for the part I own.. I didn't want to argue because it will lead to no where so i paid full price and took the part home. I won't be coming back here nor recommend this business to anyone that wants to get work done.
