When checking out you are usually bothering the cashier from her phone call or Facebook status update. I really wish someone would do a hostile take over on this location. The locations on RTE 110 on the corner of Ruland Rd., Larkfield Rd. in East Northport and Grand Ave in Deer Park, are cleaner and better run then some 5 star Restaurants. This is just laziness and needs to be addressed. Pure proof that some people think opening a place like this it will run itself and you can just sit back and let the money roll in. I love my local 711. Everyone who works there is such a pleasure to see each day. I go to this 711 everyday, sometimes more than once, and I am always greeted with a smile, with my cigarettes waiting for me when i get up in line. A visit to the store yesterday, though, will always stay in my mind. The stores debit system was down, as they can be from time to time. I had intended on paying with my AMEX card, but anyone who has worked in retails knows, AMEX transactions can be a bit touchy when the debit line is down. I was going to go back to my house to get another form of payment when Mike, the owner, stepped in. He handed me my bag of purchases, printed me out a receipt, and said that we see you everyday, dont worry about it, when you come in tomorrow, just pay us back. I was blown away by his kindness. Living on Long Island, I have many options when it comes to a 711, but I will always choose this one.
