Another incident was I had bought dog food from this location and usually don't have an issue, but this time there was. The Freshpet Home Cooked Chicken recipe made my dogs incredibly sick. Vomiting and diarrhea for days. When I went to return the item and explain what happened, they down right refused my return. I understand that stores can set their own policies and whatnot, but this was an item that had gotten family members incredibly sick. Disappointing and very frustrating of Woodman's. Last time that I will ever be shopping here again. Taking my business elsewhere where returns that make people sick can be taken care of.

Heading back to Cleveland from Racine the Costco in Pleasant Prairie seemed to be the best option. Located near to the Wisconsin and Illinois border it was a great place to fill the gas tank in the cheaper Wisconsin prices. I was especially happy to see that the gas prices here were significantly lower then any other Costco or other gas station on this trip. Of course Costco stores are similar, although it was fun to see what specific items differ. Here I was happy to see that they could sell alcohol and that the prices were very reasonable. They also were selling and sampling Kringle which is a wonderful pastry circle. Located not too far from the highway this Costco ended up being a great stop on this road trip.

But the bright side is that they have everything in stock and their check out lines were quick and efficient. With the wait of the line for check out we had one person wait while the other got a snack, and it took just as long for that that by the time I got through the check out line I was waiting for my husband with food. I will stay the staff is incredibly friendly and I feel comfortable asking for where things are since things are always moving without feeling like I'm ruining someone's mojo. All in all a great Costco! Just super long lines but they handle it like champs!

He gave me the application and entered my phone number to get points for this first purchase. He was very nice and helpful. I wish we had these near where we live in Chicago. Milk and bread are usually a bargain as well. Kwik Trip was early in the store brand game, so you'll find a lot of quality snack foods with their own names on them for less than the big brands. Washrooms are always spotless. The company is an amazing growth story, when I first started visiting them in Lacrosse, WI, they had three stores. Now 800+ in WI, IL, IA, and MN.

I've tried getting sandwiches in person twice and have felt unwelcome both times trying to order a sandwich. If you don't like your job- quit. If you need more staff because you're busy- hire more. There was one person checking out ahead of me and they said "it's going to be a few minutes". So I politely waited to hand my papers to the women making the sandwiches. I was looking down at their cheese selection and out of the corner of my eye I see a hand shaking toward me. She did not say a word to me but I handed her my papers because she had an annoyed look her face while shaking her hand at me. I told her to cancel my order because I didn't do anything to deserve to be treated that way. We will not be back- I'm supposed this place is able to stay in business with the way they treat their customers. It feels like they're going out of their way to make us a sandwich. Find a new job.

My husband is a type 1 diabetic who had unfortunately had a string of bad luck trying to get home. His phone wasn't working, his transportation had left and he had already walked over a mile trying to get home. Once arriving at BP he explained to the cashier he just needed to use the phone as they didn't provide customer Internet access and told her of his diabetes and feeling low on sugar. Tho he had 10 bucks in his pocket and was trying to call a cab the cashier today took the time out her her day as well as cash from account and paid for an uber to get my husband home to me just in the knick of time as his sugar was falling fast. I don't know her name or what she looks like, but, who ever you are, thank you! ..from the depths of my heart, thank you for your random act of kindness that prevented a potential tragedy. With the way things are in this world today, its truly amazing to know not all is lost and there are still others out there that are willing to share and help a stranger for no other reason than they could. Your a hero today ma'am his blood sugar was 54 once he got here. Again, thank you. To the managers at this location, in my opinion this woman deserves a raise and promotion. It's people like her, that are historically overlooked and underrated. Shes a true gem!
