I bought a car-wash but when I punched the code, the door to the wash didn't open. Now the issue is…read morethat they don't issue a refund. The cashier says the owner has to authorize the refund. But the owner is rarely in the store. They do everything possible not to issue the refund. If you are an out of towner you are out of luck. I called many times, and made several trips to get the refund. Sometimes they hang up and sometimes they don't pick the telephone at all if they know you calling about a refund. After about ten calls and four trips, they gave me partial refund. Very unethical business.

The gas was priced @ $284.9/gallon. FYI Shell Gas has always been my Number 1 preferred Option, but because of the huge price discrepancy I use Costco Gas. In this case it was 10 cents less then the Costco in Niles @ $294.9/gallon. Typically Costco runs 20-30 cents less then the other gas stations. The difference being one gas station is in CROOK County and the other is in Lake County. Anywho I gassed up my car at Shell in Lake County and saved a few bucks.

The old man at the counter gave me a ticket for another similar car wash and said it's good for a year. The date of expiry was 30 days. In the end the chicken man said the car wash was broke "no kidding" and I should go in to get my money back. I wanted to scream at the manager for ignoring my calls for help and leaving me in there for 20-30 minutes. But they said he wasn't in. That's BS!! The chicken man said sorry and the cashier gave me a car wash code for a 8 dollar wash. Wow !! All that and they couldn't even upgrade me to a 12 dollar wash. TERRIBLE customer service!!! I reached out to corporate over the situation and they ignored both my wife and I after an initial canned response. It breaks my heart to sever my once loyal ties with Thorntons over this station's poor customer policies and treatment. This was not my primary Thorntons, but the complete lack of customer appreciation by this station and the corporation led me to this.

After I went to get the car wash, I went back in again because maybe there was some misunderstanding. I told him maybe he misunderstood me and I misunderstood him since I'm hard of hearing. And he yelled at me saying that I owed him $5. I don't understand why I owed him $5 when I paid $10 and only got $5 worth of gas! I'm not happy with this especially with him yelling at me in front of other customers behind me. Very rude and I won't be coming back again.
