We stop here frequently to get gas, because of it's convenient location by the highway. I went into the store to grab a few things and found that items were mostly organized. I am generally a fan of speedway. This location has a clean and well stocked bathroom. Gas was cheapest, even better than Costco down the street. Perhaps the cheaper price today was due to half the pumps being down. About half or more of the pumps had out of order signs on them, so we had to get in line, despite there not being all that many cars. Recently came here to grab some food and drinks while I was in the area heading back towards Chicago. It's a convenient stop before heading over the border and paying alot more for gas. Store gas a fair selection of everything though it's not the best organized. Tons of gas pumps and easy access to the streets and highway. read more

Just bought some cold pressed juice with my wife and the gas station cleanliness and everything is pretty typical for a gas station. Reasonably clean, and decent atmosphere. The woman at the front desk was extremely nice and personable. She immediately greeted us when we walked in, and when we were checking out she asked if the cold pressed juice was good. We had a conversation and she also told us about the speedway one dollar deals going on, I can tell she's a very good employee from the short conversations we had; she also mentioned getting speedway rewards, but she wasn't pushy about it whatsoever. I throughly enjoyed stopping in at this gas station, she made the experience enjoyable which is very rare for gas stations. I believe her name was Audrey. Because of her telling us about the one dollar deals going on, we will be looking for other speedways to shop at during our road trip. Audrey went the extra mile, thanks Audrey. read more

When you get off at Hwy 50 there are two gas stations that have the lowest gas prices! This Speedway is one of them...the other is Woodman's Gas but be careful because there low price sometimes means you pay in Cash and not Credit. There credit price is higher then Speedway. This place is easy to get into and out of. The pumps are spaced nice and far away from each other so it is easy to drive your car between other cars who may be pumping gas. I have never been in here where there is a traffic jam as cars try to jockey for position. There is a full store here too...so if you need coffee or a 128 oz fountain soda, then you are in the right place. Join the speedway club and you can get coupons and discounts for just spending money here on snacks and gas. I only have one funny story from here: Some guy in a Red Chevy tried to scam me for money. He drove up to my car and said that he needed money to fix his flat tire and that he was a war veteran and that his sister was in the car with him. I looked at him and said, "Really?" And he looked at me like I was some kind of jerk for not believing him. The sad part is that two days earlier the same guy asked me at the Deerfield Illinois Oasis (up the road on the Hwy) with the same story. My suggestions to the scam artist...make a list of the people you have already asked...if you are going to tell me your have a flat tire and need money, then do not drive your car up to me because it defeats the story of the flat tire...if you want to stay with the flat tire story then at least put some effort in and put the crappy donut tire on your car and not have 4 full sized tires on your car...finally why do I care if your sister is in the car...both times she was on her cell phone talking to friends and not even looking over. So the moral of my story is to be safe on the road and to watch your back. You never know who is going to creep up on you at a gas station and try to scam you for money! read more

Cheapo gas north of the border and convenient to get to right off of the I-94 tollway. Stop at the Brat Stop while you're in the area for some brats and brews or filler up on some WI brews by the box at Woodman's. A quick in/out for good $ on gas. Can't beat that. read more

They say it's "not their policy" to tell people the price of Spotted Cow over the phone. Sounds like an indicator that they want to rip people off. Which may represent their general philosophy. Fortunately every other gas station along the expressway had no problem telling me the price. Recommend you avoid this place and hit the more reputable gas stations nearby. read more

I've stopped at this station plenty of times and it's always busy. The one thing that they really need to work on is their bathrooms as they are often filthy and disgusting enough were I opt not to use them. read more

This Speedway is always clean, well stocked and has friendly staff. Located right off the interstate, it doesn't get much better.

Now this review is for Speedway as a company in general. I LOVE speedway. If more people knew exactly how it could benefit you to go there over other stations I think they would. The trick is the speedy rewards card you get for free. You HAVE to get gas to live. And most people also buy things from gas stations while they are there. Everybody does it. So I figure why not go to the place that gives you an incentive to go there. I get points for all my purchases there. Everytime I get gas I get points. And if you buy a gift card for 50 bucks, they give you 1000 bonus points. So I will buy a card, then buy gas with it. I have to do it anyways. But then the points get me free things. Also you get coupons and special offers, that are small... like a free pop, but better than getting nothing. WHich is what you get from going to all other gas stations. Trust me on this one. From someone who really tries to take advantage of this system, it really does give you some cool stuff along the way. Just try it. Over time you start to get some nice little perks. I now I sound like a spokesperson for Speedway, but the company I work for pays for my gas so I get to fill up with their money, so I benefit from getting gas by going to speedway.
