There's Walgreens I suppose, but the lines are always long and maybe sometimes you just want to play the lotto. There's also a deli on Horace Harding Expressway by the gas station if you want to walk over there. Anyway, decent spot if you just want to quickly pick things up.

I was looking for one with a USB port (the Withings brand) so I can charge it in the car, and she said that the store does not sell that type of cuff. They only sell Omron, which uses Bluetooth. I bought some daily essentials, and I noted that a lot of them were locked up in glass shelves as they are in virtually all CVS pharmacies that I have patronized. Customers have to ring a bell so a store employee could come and unlock the items --like toothpaste, razors and mouthwash. Cashier Sorna rang up my order, encouraging me to take advantage of a digital coupon that I downloaded from the app. She explained that if I buy $2 more dollars worth of items, I will get $2 off my entire order. What a good salesgirl! Management: if you are reading this, consider promoting Sorna to manager!

I happened to be in the neighborhood trying out the new Chinese take out spot next door and saw that Angie's Convenience Store didn't have any reviews listed on Yelp. So, while I waited for my food, I decided to peruse Angie's. For all the hats that this store wears, it still feels very spacious and has a nice layout. The plants sold here range from $5 and up. It looks like the chocolate and candies are homemade (but I'm not positive) and are sold my weight. They certainly don't look like they are mass produced or came out of a box. The snack and convenience area has the usual chips, gum, candy selection that you would see in any local bodega. I decided to order a Mango Slush Boba drink. This is my go-to order whenever I'm trying out a new spot. I don't think any real fruit was used in the drink, but it still tasted pretty good. Also, I liked the very fine consistency of the slush. If I'm ever in this neighborhood again, I wouldn't mind coming back to try other items in their drink menu. And I'm very curious to try their chocolates.

The owner is nice and friendly.
