They have wifi and power and that let me get some work done this morning for a couple of hours. I did try my usual cortado and cheers to the barista who was unfamiliar with the concept and tried hard. It's a small glass - only two shots of espresso with an equivalent amount of steamed (not foamed) milk. What I had this morning was closer to a latte with very little foam. The floor behind the counter where the cook and staff are was very dirty with food on the floor including onions, egg shells and more. The food, well bless our cooks heart he just couldn't get it right. I ordered a large bacon and the bacon was very over cooked to a dark brown to black. Our hash browns were over cooked and burnt. I ordered a 3 eggs cheese steak omelet "old fashioned" and it came regular cooked and not what I ordered. We both had tea and asked for lemons and at first the waitress said they were out. Well, they just didn't have any cut and she didn't want to do it. I hinted at her nicely that she definitely needed to cut a few lemons and she reluctantly did it but had an attitude about it. It was quite entertaining watching the crew interact with one another. They were selecting the songs on the jukebox and jamming out to it as they had this store under control and working smoothly. I even caught myself laughing with other patrons as they were joking with one another. I knew I wanted Biscuits and Gravy, but I saw the hashbrown bowls and decided I'd go with one of those too, with sausage. My Dad went with one of their general breakfasts that came with a waffle. The food was what I expected and I really can't say much that hasn't been said by other people that have reviewed any Waffle House out there. What I enjoyed was the lively atmosphere. Being able to see that chef quickly get through the orders right in front of you. The servers were buzzing about like worker bees, and that's not because of the black and yellow coloring. They looked at me like I was dumb and said she passed away. Not wanting to make it awkward we completed our order, gave our condolences, and waited. Only to my dismay to hear the employees talking rudely and badly about not only me but the previous customers who've asked questions about the deceased within earshot. As we were leaving the dark haired girl with tattoos was smoking outside with another employee and pointed to our car and stared at us as we drove away. I will never come back to this location until everyone can learn to fix their attitudes and not talk rudely about customers right in front of them or at all.
