There's been a lot of times where no food was on the grill or my favorite drinks were sold out. They got a new Point-of-Sale system that nobody knows how to use. Instead of 4 employees on 4 registers there's 4 employees on 1 register trying to figure it out. Lastly, they got rid of their self-checkout kiosk; between that & the untrained employees the lines get long. Skip this place, you'd be better off going to the Weigl's across the street.

Once you get out there are not many places to stop for fuel, snacks or to use the restroom. Stephen's Grocery and Hardware has a large selection of things from your basic C-Store items to some things for camping or minor household repair. The day we stopped there were numerous other customers in line making small purchases. NOTE: The restroom inside the store is locked and there is a sign saying for customer use only, so you have to make a purchase to get the key. I guess this is to stop the random tourist from coming in for a bathroom break. The restroom was clean and neat and worked on our stop. The prices of the C-Store items are much higher than what you will find in larger chain C-Stores but they probably pay a lot more buying in smaller quantity and there is not any competitor in the area.

All of the above!), they've got you covered. There's also a gas station. Out front is all the normal stuff, with automatic pumps. Off to the side, you can get diesel and 100% gasoline (no ethanol or other additives). No credit card reader there, so you have to go inside, but nice to have. We're putting 100% in our two supercharged vehicles right now and my husband is sure it makes a difference. ;-)

It's easy to forget about this business. It is the only business on this road after you pass the bridge. What's popular here is the lottery. Yes, you see lots of winners as they tape the past winners of scratch offs around the cashiers counter. I had several people tell me that they have been luckier buying them here. Whether it's true or not, well, we have to wait and see. They also sell gas here and soft drinks. I have always been checked out fast when I come here.
