Where do I even begin....
If you have any kind of care for your Mercedes. Avoid this shop like the plague. This is supposed to be a high end tuning/repair shop. There is absolutely nothing high end about this shop. Absolutely no class, very sloppy work done and just about the worst feeling you can experience from a shop. The owner compares themselves to the likes of Brabus GmbH. (Please, no more jokes)
Anyways. This is my horror story.
The shop forgot to dial in damper / height settings for the KW Clubsports. They initially gave my car back to me with the front height dialed all the way down and the rear jacked way up. I paid for the work as agreed and they "forgot" to do it and left me with a car that looked it was permanently dive braking. Owner said it looked "cool" Nope! I bring it back for them to fix it with very specific instructions for the damper compression/rebound and height settings and that's where everything went wrong...
After they dialed the correct rear height and damper setting. Visually everything looked okay. They tried to charge me again for the work promised the first time. Their word is not bond. At this point I just wanted to get my car out of there because the tech "Tom" seemed very jaded.
On the drive home. I hear scraping from the rear so I immediately pull over and see that the rear LCA plastic cover is bent and dragging on the ground. These guys broke the plastic pins on one side and tried to shove it back in. Really? All you have to do a carefully remove the plastic pins to remove it and carefully reattach the cover so the pins line up and it snaps back on the LCA. How was something so simple overlooked?
Then I realized how filthy the car was. I looked at my brand new AMG performance/alacantara steering wheel and realized there was this nasty grime on it from dirty, oily hands. No steering wheel cover was used and there was dirty finger prints all over the fenders. You know, there are Mercedes fender covers for this exact reason. You guys are supposed to be a step above dealerships. How is this acceptable? Savages.
Just recently, the front driver shock started to knock really bad. I pulled over right away and the KW top mount was a loose by a few threads damaging the KW camber plate. They didn't torque it down properly. This a completely unacceptable! Totally irresponsible! And extremely dangerous!
I have no idea how these guys are still in business...They literally make money off doing oil changes, which is totally fine but don't ever compare yourselves to Renntech, BRABUS or Gemballa!
They do some "high dollar builds" once in while that hardly gets any recognition. Which consists of taking all the class and soul out of a Mercedes AMG. Let's just turn everything into a Toyota Supra drag car. Let's just add some BIG ASS turbos so the car barely drives and idles. Completely ruining the lines of the car because it doesn't fit and finish it off with some cheap $1000 Forgestar wheels. Absolutely no style at all and poor execution overall.
So in the end. A $1000 bill in labor, 2 days without the car and walked out with ruined KW coilovers ($4000) and a crusty, oily steering wheel ($2500).
I failed to do my research and googled "performance Mercedes shop" and this barnyard came up. I ultimately paid the price. Take your time. Do your research and avoid my mistake. Choose a quality shop like Fall Line, Timo's Auto Haus.
