Then when you dispute the charge on your credit card (which doesn't give you the same one year warranty Bellaire Appliance claims to give), they will not refund the full amount paid to them. Suddenly there is a "service charge" imposed that is NOWHERE stated on the website. If you want your money stolen, by all means use them but if you want an honest company who stands behind their ability to fix appliances and actually fix the appliance, they ARE NOT the company you want to do business with!

We should have asked more questions at the time of the quote. Glad to hear there are cheaper options to fix the issue now. I may have just had a one-off experience because everyone seems to love them, or maybe the tech we got wasn't honest, but I called them since our washer was struggling during the spin cycle. They quoted us over $400 to fix this and said it was because it's a complicated and expensive part to replace. Luckily, we ended up doing some research and the part was $30 at Lowe's and it took maybe 20 minutes to replace ourselves. We had to pay the diagnostic fee which was over $100 even though we already knew what was wrong with it. The whole experience felt dishonest. Even if they used authentic parts I can't see that they would be that much more expensive and the labor was definitely not complicated. Next time we're going to research the fix before calling anyone. Sucks that good appliance repair companies are so hard to find.

I contacted LG this morning and they agreed to provide the compressor and dryer at no charge. LG sent the authorization e-mail to Masterminds of Appliances this morning. When I followed up with Masterminds of Appliances they refused to order the needed parts unless I paid for them in advance. I was not able to get them to understand LG will supply the parts for free. So we have no path forward to repair our refrigerator. UPDATE: 16 June 1:00 PM Service manager contacted me and assured me he will contact LG to verify the parts can be shipped at no cost to Masterminds of Appliances. I contacted this company to see if they could fix the ice maker in my refrigerator or if I needed…read moreto replace it. The fridge is several years old but I'd had the compressor replaced less than a year ago. The tech came out and identified that the ice maker needed to be replaced. That's fine, I replaced it myself for $200. The issue I have is that we had left the freezer cracked the night before so the contents were melted a bit. I was clear with the tech that we had left the freezer open and the compressor was fine. We told him this five times. He then decided to test the compressor anyway then tried to tell me the compressor was faulty. It seems it tested properly, but the soft freezer contents were evidence the compressor was out. He then quoted me something like $1,500 to replace it. I told him I wasn't interested since the compressor was still under a 12 month warranty. There was a language barrier, but he seemed to understand what I was saying which is why I was confused why he tested the compressor. He left, and I ordered the replacement ice maker. Later that day, the fridge started humming. Humming loud enough to where sitting in the living room (adjacent to the kitchen) without the TV or anything on was annoying. I contacted the owner who told me explicitly he intended to do nothing to rectify the situation, and that the tech didn't work for him anymore. My only real recourse is to put a review on every site I can think of so that other consumers have more information when they decide to hire someone.
