I had the pleasure of meeting Cherise the first time I used the establishment. I spent way over $75 on laundry just to wash and dry myself. I paid for 2 laundry bags even. Cherise went above and beyond and was helpful the entire time I was there with my teenagers. She stays busy helping customers, folding clothes and I personally watched her do her end of shift duties. All with a smile on her face. The only downfall to this establishment is that it doesn't honor the freebie wash being a new customer. Its not the employees discretion but the owners. It's not cool to be deceitful to hard-working people that just need to get their clothes washed and dried. Luckily Cherise was awesome. I have no issues with the staff. The owners however, don't promote something then not honor it. My dryer needs a part and that's the only reason I even went here. read more

I haven't used a laundromat in many years but my home washer is having problems with heavy items. Employee Kimberly was so helpful. She greeted me, helped me decide the best size machine and assisted with wash card purchase. I noticed her attentiveness with her washndry orders and other customers. When doing it later is just not an option. This laundromat is the perfect place for those who work hard, have long hours, or just don't just have traditional 9-5 schedule. Sometimes you need to do chores either early morning or when you are up in the middle of the night. This facility is 24 hours a day. There is an attendent working here 24/7. The laundromat is kind of chic for a laundry. The place is very clean and spacious. Lighting is bright. Very modern. There are a lot of outlets in case you need to charge your phone or work while you are washing clothes. Nice lounge chairs and big screen tvs. The machines do not take money. You will have to go to the Exchanger wall and purchase a card for $1 and load money on the card. For instance if you put $20 on the card for the first time you will have $19 available for use. The exchanger takes cash and debit/credit cards. It is reloadable. The washers are various sizes. The smallest being $2 and $4. The larger ones are $6 and $8. Dryers are $1.25 and $1.65. I do have to warn you that once you put the card in the dryer you will not be able to reopen the door until the cycle stops like a washer. So be careful not to forget putting an item in the dryer or something you do not want thoroughly dried. Enjoy this place. read more

I do not normally leave reviews but I had to because the experience was just THAT BAD. I have been to the 3065 Headland Drive location multiple times since last week Thursday to do my laundry but I could not tolerate the heat. At least I have the option of leaving to come back at a later time. I can't imagine having to work under these conditions. The staff were apologetic, very polite, helpful and professional but I think it should be against the law to have your employees work under these conditions. I do laundry at the location regularly but the last few visits has made me rethink whether I will return. At a time when we are under heat advisories every single day, you would think that Speed Queen would want to make their customers comfortable while they tend to their laundry. This was my first time at this facility. It's fairly clean on the inside. A few machines were out of order but there were still plenty to use. It was definitely pricier than what I was expecting. Upon entering, the signs on the windows state that it's cashless but don't state that you have to pay for a wash card. So after figuring that out, it only took about an hour to wash and dry. I think I spent $15, including buying the card, to wash 2 comforters. read more

Today's date Sunday, Aug 30 I was in the laundry mat. All the machines were either broken, in use, or completed but customer has left item in machine (which seem to be occurring often). So I ended up pay 30.00 to use the small machines. Ye, mad as hell. Then you go to the machine to upload cash on your card. BOTH CASH ACCEPTER WERE BROKEN. CASH ONLY! The clerk at the front says, "yeah, you have to go get cash.". Where is the customer service. Management so concerned about theft they forgot about the customer. If both machines are down pay for the software to upload from register. Have bills on hand for customer just in case they only have coins. This use to be a nice laundry mat. Now, it's crap. Last time visiting. I'll go to the Chinese. They don't let money walk out the door. read more

There seems to be plenty of seating, docking stations for your phone/laptop, and snack machines. The layout is pretty open, not too much different from the old one... and it's well lit. It is pricey for the area. Just washing a few blankets here and there won't break most pockets, but I can certainly understand why there would be some upset over the cost of doing laundry on a regular basis. They also don't seem to have a loyalty program, which isn't necessary I suppose but it's been nice to go to Tropical Breeze and see the occasional return on my investment. read more

It cost about $4 to wash your clothes however the washers are big. Also $2 to dry but I did two loads and it only took 20 minutes to dry all of them in the same dryer. Nice staff clean facility. I must warn you, with the coronavirus they are practicing social distancing. You cannot stay in the laundry. Put clothes in to wash leave, dry leave, take clothes out dryer leave. No onsite folding allowed. read more

I first came here over a year ago before the renovations, and while I will admit the automatic door and variety of seating and lighting is nice, the objective of coming here is to wash. I give this laundromat one star for being extremely overpriced, not to mention they use the cashless method so you have two prepay everything onto a card. And unless you want to lose money to a card that's non-refundable you better calculate all your expenses correctly, which is EXACTLY WHAT I DID. To my surprise I was able to wash 5 comforters in one machine for $11.25... however with just a change of temperature or setting that quickly went to $11.55 and then $12. I used a medium sized side loader to wash my pet items: 1 dog bed, 2 airplane sized blankets and 3 towels (was still a lot of room left) for $5.80. It wasn't until I hit start on the machine that I saw it actually took $6.20... when I went to the attendant to complain about it she said she had to call someone to find out what she should do next. Ummmm REALLY NOW?? she suggested the solution that once I was ready to dry I would let her know and she would start the dryer for me. When it was time to dry I did just that, and it yielded me 30 minutes. I only put two comforters in there because these dryers seemed suspect. There was a woman next to me who complained about her dryer running for 30 minutes with less than 18 pieces in it and all of her clothes were still wet!! smh I expect for $1.65 for my items to be GOOD AND DRY not sorta not wet. I can assure you the laundromat and other areas that only charge $0.25 per 15- 20mins get my clothes waaay dryer for less money!! If you ask me this place is a rip-off and is highly overpriced, and are clearly making the customers pay for their renovations!!! I definitely WONT BE BACK!! read more

Very clean facility. Machines always work and there are plenty for everyone. Workers are polite and friendly. It's a bit pricey and everything is done with your card there's no exchange of cash for soap products or to use the machines. You have to purchase a laundry card. I come here whenever my dryer needs servicing in my home and I've never been disappointed. I recommend this place. The clothes wash good and the dryer dries a regular load within 30 minutes. read more

I have been coming to this location for 8 years. Even before it was speed queen. Today the associate was cleaning out all of the dust bins while I was doing laundry. Dust flying everywhere on me and my newly washed clothes. I asked her to stop until I leave the laundry in 10 minutes. She was rude telling me about her sister not completing this task overnight and asked me to move. She could not reach her manager or so she said. Very disturbed. I wanted to give a a major shoutout to Ms. B. Roundtree at this location (Headland Dr). Being in the customer service industry, I am well aware that people are quick to complain but rarely swift to acknowledge how wonderful of a job someone has done. I typical wash laundry for my Airbnb early mornings. This morning enroute on the interstate I ran over an item that caused my tire to go flat. My first thought was, if only I could make it to the laundry facility to change my tire while my clothes are washing--I'll be good. I made it there safe and started my load. I heard Ms. Roundtree asking if the car in the parking lot belonged to any of us (customers) and if so the tire was flat. I told her my story and she resumed her job duties. When I went out to change the tire, she came out and began cleaning the parking area. I feel as if she was my guardian angel sent to watch over me while I changed my tire. This may not seem like much to any one else but I appreciate her going over and beyond the call of duty, Not only were the grounds free of debris but she had the bathroom clean and also the facility. This laundromat service is near my house and provides several types of washer and dryer sizes for your convenience . My loads would've easily taken 6 hours at a home but took two hours here. Workers are friendly and the area is kept clean. While I was there I saw a lady sweeping twice. I also dropped wet clothes on the floor by mistake and didn't cringe because the floor wasn't dirty. This will be my new cleaning service. They also will wash and fold clothes for you for a extra price! read more
