These are very affordable gas prices given the economy. This establishment is open every day. I'm not sure about holidays, but they have gas pumps on both sides for your convenience and the quality of gas is great. I drive a Mazda and my car can basically use any gas and I've never had any issues with it and in case you didn't know the gas at Safeway gas pumps is Chevron so it is good gas. If you have not tried Safeway gas I would recommend that you try it out. It's the cheapest gas in town other than Sam's Club great convenient place to fill up if you're on the go one of my favorite places to fill up I highly recommend Safeway fuel gas in Roseville on Herbie sunrise great establishment Very convenient. I drive into Sacramento almost daily primarily for work purposes. On the way home to Stockton, I usually take I-5 most of the time but will also take I-99 some days. When going home on I-99, I always stop at this specific gas station because it's typically the most affordable option in the Sacramento region. I heavily rely on this app called GasBuddy and it has never failed to direct me to the "cheapest" gas station. With gas prices surging and inflating the way that they are currently in 2026, Sinclair seems to come through with beating out all of the gas competitors on the price points. The nature of this business can get a little busy. Mostly all of the gas pumps are utilized at one time, because many individuals want gas from here. Occasionally, a line of cars could build up for wait time. I will continue to stop by this gas station moving forward. It always helps to save a dime, especially on gas, whenever possible. Even if there is a slight wait, it's still worthwhile.

The last time I checked Gas Buddy, this station was about 20 cents cheaper per gallon than the other ones. There's a convenience store stocked with snacks, drinks, and some other essentials. The location is convenient, right off Freeport, and it's fairly easy to get in and out. Just budget some extra time, because there might be lines at the pumps. Safe driving!

I started my car, tried multiple times, and it was obvious no gas had actually gone into my tank, still at E-empty and paid 5.2 gallons which would have given my tank half full but I didn't get a drop. Since I was already running late and needed to get to Wilton after sitting in post-Fourth of July Truckee traffic, I had no choice but to risk using a different pump. That one worked immediately - full tank and that was 10.7gallons When I went inside to explain what happened, instead of listening or trying to help, the employee became defensive, accused me of trying to steal from the store, and raised his voice. That's not customer service--that's gaslighting a paying customer. I drive a 2010 Toyota Corolla with about a 13-gallon tank, and the Indian dude wants to claim that I was given 5.2 gallons of gas and then later I was able to add another 10.7 gallons to it... Ridiculous - the numbers simply don't add up. And I have the receipts to prove it- attached. Unfortunately, this isn't my first bad experience here. I've previously been charged prices that didn't match the advertised sign, and I've had other issues in the past. I kept giving this place another chance, but this was the final straw. Congratulations--you got my $26, but you lost a loyal neighborhood customer. I'll gladly spend my money at the other stations where customers are treated with respect instead of being accused of being thieves. If you value honest service and working pumps, I'd recommend going somewhere else.

One of my least favorite things to do is having to fill my tank up with gas. Unless you're the less…read morethan 5% of the population that drives an electric vehicle, then the majority of us find ourselves having to cope with inflated fuel prices; especially in the State of California. This is where "Safeway Fuel Station" comes to mind. The location I am focusing on is adjacent to the Safeway directly at the corner of Dewey Dr. and Madison Ave. in Fair Oaks. The main reason why I keep coming back here is that their prices are actually quite reasonable. And when I say reasonable, I mean they are just a few cents higher than Costco (in Citrus Heights) which can lead to much longer wait times. Additionally, this fuel station has very generous hours of operation being open for business 7 days a week from 5am-11pm. I do want to point out that if you pay with cash or use your debit card, prices are generally 10¢ lower than credit. And this applies to regular, plus, and premium. Furthermore, this fuel station also has pumps for diesel fuel. What I noticed in early-2023 is that they did a complete upgrade on their gas pumps and machines making it much easier to read. If you are a Safeway club member and do your fair share of shopping there, you are eligible for gas reward discounts. However, this is if you spend a LOT there meaning every $1000 spent gets you a 10¢ discount on your fuel. At least that is what I notice. Aside from that, this fuel station is never that busy and there are two different ways to enter/exit; through Madison Ave. or on Dewey Dr. With that said and done, I am being generous and giving the "Safeway Fuel Station" an above average four star rating. Prices are reasonable and usually fairly comparable to the other fuel station, "Kwik Serv" across the street. So to many that are on a budget and don't wish to spend more at Shell, Chevron, or 76, give this place a try.

There are always homeless people lingering around near the font door asking for handouts. Last time I was there I bought a guy a popsicles. It was hot out and I got change so I splurged and got him one. With the new gas prices I never have change. It's outrageous. Mom made the comment that the driveway and gas station have very uneven cement. It was awkward in her suv to navigate as it was so bumpy.
