Costco gas remains one of the more affordable fuel since the cost of gas has increased back in March. However, this last couple of weeks (today is 09/29/2026) the price has gone way over $6/gallon. In comparison to the name brand gas stations, Costco gas is now quite pricey and at the same level as Bay Area prices. But this location still has lower price than at Costco Elk Grove or other nearby Costco gas stations. Typical long lines at Costco gas stations. One bad experience with a female gas attendant who was very rude directing customers which pump to go to and hurrying up customers as it was near closing time. She called me grandpa so I called her great grandma LMAOOOO I wasn't going to but she asked for it haha I was going to file a complaint with management inside but I didn't. And I haven't seen her since. Gotta fuel up again so will be back. read more

Overall a great gas stations, the line may appear long, however the cars move by fast. This is the cheapest Costco Gas Station to get gas in Sacramento County. I would just be cautious of coming here during dark, it's located in South Sacramento not the best area. Overall would recommend this gas station as this is my to go gas station to stop to get gas! read more

The whole process was good. There lots of cars and everyone stayed to the pump they choose but, I saw a car not sticking to a the lane they choose but trying to get to the front of a lane. Seemed like a very self entitled person. I later saw that a local small station had gas three cents less than Costco. But I am not going around wasting gas for 3 cents cheaper. Since I was at Costco to try the new Calzone at the food court, I might as well stop for gas, since Costco is the cheapest around, whatever area you're in. The lines are a bit long if you don't get here super early or late like 30 minutes before closing. The gas stations all close 1 hr after the store closes and open at 6am. I like that they have those green or red indicators on the gas islands that tell you what pumps are occupied. I like that the hoses are long enough that it doesn't matter what side of the car your fuel filler side is on, the hose will stretch across to the opposite side. I just wish there were stuff to clean your windshield, but I guess they don't put that stuff out so people don't take longer to fill up and hold up the line. The best thing besides the price, is if you have one of the Costco Citi credit cards, (they're free), when you buy gas at Costco, you get 5% back rebate, that's like if gas is $5.00 a gal, you get 25 cents off per gallon! The card scanners always work well the first time you swipe, not like those lousy off brand stations, where I wouldn't trust even using a credit card at! read more

Everyone knows it gets busy here with long lines but you can't beat the prices. I try to avoid peak hours and try to go super early in the morning or before closing. Helpful that they added the lights so you can see which gas pump is vacant. Parking lot gets crazy with tons of traffic during peak hours and wish there was better way to organize the line of cars. read more

Gasoline prices have been rising and falling in recent months! Costco Gasoline is rising slower than other gas stations when the price rises and falling simultaneously when the gasoline prices are soaring. This Costco gas station in South Sacramento is the same as any other Costco gas station I have used. Always super busy because of the reasonable prices. The traffic at the entrance of this gas station is shared with the Costco store. They're very close to each other, and the line is out to the street sometimes. Luckily, the lines are long but moving quickly. The average wait time is 10 to 15 minutes at the busiest time. Try to come here early in the morning or 15 minutes before closing time to avoid the long wait if possible. I pulled up to the pump as soon as I was there a few times when I came just before the gas station closed. read more

It was odd to have come here and find the station almost empty! Probably because we came at an opportune time when people were at work on a Friday at around 10:30 am. But it did look and feel odd. I normally come here to find a long line at each of the fueling aisles. Not that I'm complaining... My daughter and I had to go to Costco to return a purchase and our regular Costco was down at Rancho. But when we checked the gasoline prices, this location had a cheaper price than the one at Rancho Cordova, so we carried gas in this location and drove home to return our purchase at Rancho. Gasoline is normally cheaper at these bulk store locations. Sometimes, the competitor's are cheaper, but the proximity of this place is more advantageous oftentimes. So it might pay to check the price first before driving off to get gas. But if you're in a rush, Costco would be a pretty safe bet... read more

What can I say? I always come here to get gas. It's my first choice in getting gasoline. This place does get busy and crowded. Especially on the weekends. Best time to come are weekdays before 3pm. It does get crowded right after work on the weekdays too. But I'd you don't mind the crowds on the weekends you might as well park right after or before to go shopping inside Costco. read more

This is the nearest Costco to me and it's a busy one. Parking is pretty ridiculous, so I park a little further away from the entrance. Though the parking area set up is not so bad and easy to maneuver. They offer a lot of food samples throughout the store, and everything seems pretty well stocked. I don't interact too much with the employees here, except getting to the register. But getting there could be a journey. The lines are usually long. I really wish there was someone walking around to monitor the lines and seeing if people are okay. The reason I said that is because I witnessed people fighting because of a line cut. It is Costco, this one allows 3 cars in at a time so even when the line is long, it can be quick to get in and out. Make sure you always have your card with you, I have never been able to use the scan card feature. When I can, I normally always use Costco as my fueling station. The line is worth the wait. True they don't have window cleaner or air but that stuff slows the line even more. The price is always near the lowest around. I refuse to travel 12-15 miles just the full the tank like my buddy does and save 2-4 cents per gallon. The gas itself I have no issues with. Cheap gas, bad location. This station is located at the perpetually crowded South Sacramento Costco. Accessing the station from Highway 99 is a nightmare requiring several complicated turns and lots of traffic, although entering from Northbound 99 is much easier. The pumps and station are clean and efficient. All the SUV and trucks in the region fill up here for the cheap gasoline, so prepare for a wait. If you are traveling, I recommend the Lodi Costco station down the highway for an easier experience. Otherwise, pack a lunch! read more
