They secretly charged us $25 for the past 5 months for a TV service we never got. We tried to call and ask about it and they said all they could do was give us a $10 credit. Absolutely fu.king ridiculous. I am angry because on our side it doesn't even show the tv charge. They just did it on the side. Then received a bill for 467.00 i paid that bill took equipment back only to be rudely told they don't take equipment i have to drive to Lex to return( don't worry its 45 miles from me and then the I75 construction time) Then I look on bank statement they took 833.00 from my account for equipment and refuse to refund.. worst people ever.. read more

They don't even offer extensions anymore, I have mobile ,internet and cable with them. As soon as I pay this mobile phone off in two months I'm disconnecting everything from them. Time Warner cable is awful and will find ways to charge you anyway they can. This particular office is awful and the staff are rude and extremely unhelpful. We put it our card in online for reoccurring payments and nothing changed with our card but yet they payments stopped working and they didn't inform us by phone, email or mail that this had stopped working and so several months after a man shows up at our door with almost a $300 bill telling us if we didn't pay it we would have our services turned off in a few moments. He had a young child with him so naturally we first thought this was a scam cause he was in casual clothes, nothing looked official. We called time Warner to try and figure it out and went ahead and paid a partial amount until we could get down to the office. We had all the documents to show nothing was wrong. Bank statements showing they had already charged us and the statement from the guy who marked the wrong date when he called in the payment. They kept telling us it was our fault and there was nothing they could do. Come to find out in the end without also notifying us they created all that money back to our account once they realized we didn't actually owe it. It was awful and we ended up moving and I couldn't be happier to say we moved shortly after and switched to another provider and I won't ever go back to time Warner for there awful customer service. This company is very shady on hiding how they change how they bill you. I have been a customer through the many merges over the years and now, they conveniently consider themselves a monthly subscription. Cancelled 2 days into the billing cycle and was told on the phone I did not owe anything and I had 10 days to turn in the modem. I go to turn in the modem 2 days later and was told I have a $134 something remaining balance that could not be itemized, I had to call customer service to get a break down?!? My normal monthly bill is 79.99. So I have to turn in my modem in 10 days, and pay for the full month?!? Very shady company... I would avoid at all costs. Just be up front with people and they will not be upset. With the business contract coming up for renewal later this year, I WILL NOT renew with this company. Their shady business ethics is going to cost them future revenues now that competition is in the market. read more

I did not think TWC could be outdone for poor customer service. Spectrum is not just awful but bat shit crazy and possibly the worst run company on the planet. I disconnected nearly 6 months ago and replaced them with Sling and Netflix for less than half the price. But today I had to call them to get my mother in laws service changed because her house was severely damaged in a fire and I needed to switch her service to a new address temporarily. I discovered they were going to charge her $112 mo for internet and local channels when she was paying $70 at her old address before it burned. I told them to cancel everything. Did they cancel? No. Got a text from technician that evening telling me they will be there the next day. Took another half hour to cancel again. Everybody needs to disconnect from this parasite of a company that is now feeding off the elderly to survive. read more

Attempted to contact Spectrum to lower my bill. I get too many channels and I don't want them. On chat, representative told me I could lower my bill by $60. Customer service called me to discuss. They told me there was nothing they could do to lower my bill. They basically lied to me. Incompetent morons. I will be looking to change service providers. read more

I didn't catch the manager's name, but she was the rudest person to do business with. Speaking over me while I was trying to ask/answer questions. I felt uncomfortable the whole time, and she was making her employees uncomfortable as well. The employees had to apologize for her behavior several times. I was in to set up a WiFi service that took less than 30 minutes, and she was rushing me out the door before I had the chance to sign the final paperwork. Employees were very friendly, but the manager definitely needs to learn some customer service. read more

Absolute garbage service. Only had Spectrum for a couple months and this is the third time a tech has had to come fix it. Ridiculous.

All I'm saying is if someone knows any better internet providers around here please let me know. I get the promotional price is a promotion and I wouldn't mind paying more for an outstanding service. Last year after my promotional price was over, I called customer service and they allowed me to upgrade to the "best" internet for the promotional price which was only $10 (when they were still TWC). This month we called and raised hell again because our internet had gotten WORSE after Spectrum took over. After talking to two different people on the phone that my husband couldn't understand, they told us that our internet was amazing and that they wouldn't fix anything and that they didn't care if we left or not. I work in customer service and if I talked to anyone like that I'd be fired on the spot. Absolutely terrible company and employees. read more

Worst internet provider I've ever had! I am paying $34.99 for up to 15Mbps and getting an average of 3Mbps The first month the internet was fine about 12Mbps (while we were on our first month money back trial period if we don't like it) now on month two it sucks. It's like they pulled the internet speed E-BRAKE on the first day after the money back period ended. They also spam us almost daily with junk mail and fill my mail box with "are you not satisfied with your internet? Pay $89 a month and upgrade". Definitely a corrupt company. Avoid at all costs! I live in an area where Time Warner Cable is the only provider and can't wait to move! Other companies offer a lot faster internet for much lower costs with better service! I recently upgraded my cable to the "gold" which is every channel spectrum offers. I was quoted $169.99 per month including tax. That already seemed a bit high in cost but Spectrum has the monopoly in Richmond so I agreed. I received my first bill after the upgrade yesterday. It was $254! I called and spoke to customer service. She informed me that I had been misinformed about the cost and the only way to lower my bill was to remove channels. I asked to speak with management. The manager informed me I had been receiving a "new customer discount" for the first year of service which had expired just after upgrading my service and "no one caught it" when they quoted me the new package cost. I had also received a notification in the mail about a week ago from Spectrum telling me that because I was such a good customer they were "extending my discount". When I questioned the manager about that notification, he informed me it WAS an additional discount but not the "new customer discount". I asked the manager if Spectrum's only mission was to get new customers? Do they not want to retain their existing customers? He told me that that was NOT Spectrum's business model. It is their mission to only get NEW customers. In the end, my bill was NOT adjusted, no one cared that I was BLATANTLY lied to about the cost and I still have the same mediocre service. This company wouldn't pick up their cable box when I cancelled tv and phone service even though I kept internet service offered a box for me 2 return it in though I needed to pay postage that was after over 30 minutes on the phone with rude people I am on a walker so it's impossible to carry a box and return this receiver spectrum . offered to have someone pick it up for $25. Or I drive 90 mile round trip to drop it off at a local spectrum store. This company is miserable terrible service if I have 2 pay double I'm going with someone else read more
