Josh and the crew arrived early on the day we agreed upon and went straight to work. The crew is like a fine tuned machine with everyone working together. Ken came by several times to check on how things were going. Within one day the shingles were removed, lots of rotten wood was replaced and a new roof and gutters were installed. I called and asked for the information and Bobby hung up on me. Do not trust this guy with your property. EDIT: There is a response from owner that from a year a claiming he had no idea there was a problem until my review. that is a LIE. I told him about it and he ignored me so I made my review. Then called and screamed at me while threatening me. I never added that to my review tell I saw his response. Last year I had the wall between my kitchen and living room knocked down to about 4 feet and had a bar built on it and had my kitchen painted and a new floor laid. I also had my old deck torn down and a new one built with storage under it. I got Advanced number from my stepfather which had work done by them. After seeing what they did with my project and stuff with his, neither of us would ever recommend these people. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT! First off I am pretty Happy with the kitchen project so that is where the 2 stars come from. That is about all that was good. First off the guy that owns/runs the company doesn't listen to what you want. He does what he wants to do. I didn't want quarter round installed. I told him I had something else I wanted to use which is the same thing I used in my living room when I remodeled it. He didn't listen and put quarter round and painted it. Completely doesn't match so it really looks like crap. They didn't get the floor smooth before putting down the new one. I have spots that are cutting through the new floor and ruining pieces of it. Did I mention the owner doesn't listen and does what he wants??? I also asked if they could nail a gutter that was falling off my house back up since they had all the tools at my house. He simply said yes. Never quoted a price or mentioned anything about money. SO I assumed it was a free quick fix. He charged my $75 for 8 nails and a guy using a nail gun. If he told me he was going to charge me I would of said no. I figured it would be something he would throw in for someone spending $15,000 to him. As for the deck I completely hate it. The rails are coming off and the storage is junk. The rails have been treated but they were not installed level and with only 1 screw on each side so they all look like waved U shapes. They put a little roof on the storage under the deck and it funnels water into the support beam which goes through the storage area. The water runs down the supports and floods the storage area. I guess sealing it from water wasn't important for them so my equipment would stay dry. It's already starting to rot from the inside. I have had stuff completely ruined because of this. Also, I asked about having my deck stained and he quoted me like $400. I passed and decided to do it myself. I finished about 60% of the deck and didn't have time to finish due to work. I called and asked him to come finish it. He called my back and quoted my $800 for the 40% I didn't finish. Ridiculous. He obviously didn't want to do it and should of just said so instead of making a ridiculous quote. Childish. I am thinking about tearing this deck down and having it rebuilt next year. That is how bad I hate it. Even some of the guys working on my house would talk about how bad this guy is when I would talk to them about it. I knew then I had a problem but since they were in the middle of a project I didn't think I could do anything about it.

Having previous history in the construction business, I am what one of my friends called "the customer that I would never want to work for." I know what to look for and am not afraid to point out flaws. Working with contractors in KY has been a nightmare. They never show up, never return calls, I have had them show up and borrow a tape measure because they didn't bring one, then not call back, etc. Bobby was opposite all of those things. Bobby was extremely friendly, professional, and responsive. He returned my calls and acted quickly when needed. His roofing subcontractor, Bull did an outstanding job on the roof. I have walked it three times looking for flaws. There are none. They identified problems and fixed them. There were no nails anywhere around the house when they walked away. The guys that work directly for Bobby are polite and trustworthy. I was never afraid to leave knowing that they were in our home. They did NOT do what many do: smoke just outside the door (leaving the smell in the house), leave paint all over our grass, or use foul language. I always say that in construction, the most gratifying jobs are the ones that look like you were never there. The work completed by Advanced Roofing and Construction are just that. They hung the ceiling properly, painted the walls sufficiently, caulked all the necessary places, and thoroughly cleaned the areas that necessitated it. Moving furniture and boxes is not an exact science, so there are always delays but that is totally acceptable. They even knew how to break apart the bedroom furniture! Greg reached out 24 hours prior to our agreed time that he needed to push back our time about an hour. All fine with me. They showed up 10 minutes before I did. I had to unload half my stuff into my apartment and then the other half into a storage facility 5 min down the road. We unloaded stuff into my apartment and they did everything in a timely manner and then followed me over to storage and helped me unload the rest. Not to mention it was 10 degrees outside. Very appreciative of their work and their timeliness and if I need moving help again in the area I will be using them.
