    Damage caused by movers.

I want to warn you about this horrendous moving service Because it has been the absolute WORST business I have ever had to deal with. Their management was horrendous, and super discourteous-- forcing my family to pay in full before our move because his mover said himself that he doesn't "trust certain folks"-- and when I asked for clarification he openly stated people of color. The manager cursed at my mother over the phone, and threatened to take our belongings to a place we'd never find them. The movers broke multiple items, scratched up our wooden floors by recklessly moving furniture and didn't have the courtesy to tell us about the damage-- until we caught them trying to hide the broken items. Lastly, we were owed a refund from having been forced to pay a bulk sum in advance (despite the contract explicitly saying otherwise)-- and still have not received it. It was due in July 2023. The staff have been discourteous about providing the refund, and for months never replied to our phone calls or emails. I've attatched pictures of the damaged items as proof-- it only lets me post 10 but I will try to find a way to show Go with any other business you can-- Three Sons Moving Co are absolute scammers, and it's been a headache to deal with their HORRIBLE team. I truly would not post a review/recommendation like this if it wasn't such a clear and severe problem.

DO NOT USE unless you enjoy your things broken or damaged with insultingly low compensation. FYI it is at the company's full discretion how much they decide to reimburse you at $.60/a lb. (they decide the weight, not actual). No bias there, right? I had 2 moves- 1st one, guys were great and careful. I was the 3rd mover, so handled or saw all my items twice. One door was broken on that move- I am confident nothing else was damaged that time. The second crew, I had 16 items with major damage or completely destroyed- Hunks of wood missing, deep gouges in furniture, destroyed lamps (wrapped & taped heavily), dented metal items, 12 boxes caved in from the top or with holes through the sides, and much more. Numerous smaller things broken that I didnt list (handles busted off, hinges ripped off drawers, etc). The manager, Martin, made appointments to come see the damages and was no call/no show twice. I kept having to reach out to him; he often said he was 'too busy'to get to my issue. He also never offered any options besides him coming to glue/stain the scratches/missing wood chunks. I saw the claim option was available after reading reviews and asked for it after getting stood up; only then did he say that was available. I used a bathroom scale to weigh each item except 2 large desks, too heavy to pick up (underestimated at 50lbs ea.) and came to 350.8lbs total. I listed each item with details on what the damage was (very conservative) in a Word document and sent pictures of every item to the manager. I contacted him a day after he said he'd let me know the final resolution (he had blown me off again) and was told they sent a check for $55. That doesn't even cover the weight of one of the items damaged. I wasn't looking for replacement costs, and intentionally underestimated on heavier items to be 'fair.' Some of the items damaged were my deceased grandmother's that I cannot replace nor easily fix. I was told on both moves that if I helped equally as the 3rd mover, that I would pay less. That was a flat- out lie- I paid what was quoted and worked side-by-side with the movers. Do not do this- you cannot watch everything they do to your stuff when you are helping!! And they will NOT give you a discount for it like they say. It is obvious this company does not care about its customers. I paid these guys $3381.65 for two moves within 6 months, incured $500+ in damages, and recieved $55 in compensation. DO NOT USE.

The thinnest tv was on the bottom of the tv stack with two other tvs that were heavier than this one.

Helping Hand Movers - Unloading PODS

What a great crew of men! Hired this company to unload two of my PODS. It was not an easy move due…read moreto where my PODS had to be placed ( not close to the apartment) and outside stairs! They figured out a way to get it done and were so careful with all my furniture and boxes etc. they worked so hard but at the same time we're so courteous to me and made the experience a good one! The mistake I made was not telling them in advance about an extremely heavy item but they were understanding and even though I had to pay a little extra it was well worth it. Apparently it's in the contract to tell them about such items but I did not let them know. They were still so professional and I would hire them again in a minute for any type of moving. It's so nice when you are able to get great people to help during a stressful time in your life! Oh yes they actually unloaded two PODS onto a truck then got closer to the apartment unloaded the truck and climbed stairs! Done in 1 1/2 hours!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Maybe the moving crew is great - but we'll never know, because…read morethey canceled our service at 4:00 PM the day before they were supposed to help. We hired them through U-Haul, and only needed a few hours with 2 people. We are in our sixties and have moved several times. We had already emptied out most of the storage unit, and just needed help with about 5 pieces of heavier items. We had a truck reserved for the morning, and planned to have Helping Hands load, unload, and take those few pieces upstairs in our new home. The day before, the coordinator called and insisted we didn't have a big enough truck (we did) and we needed more people and time (we didn't). First, he said we needed 3 people for at least 6 hours; then he said they had another job for the afternoon and couldn't give us 3 hours. Then he said he wouldn't do the job because it "didn't meet his expectations." This was on a Thursday at 4:00 PM. We needed someone for Friday morning, as the truck was already reserved. Then on Saturday morning, the coordinator called and said they were on their way to help move (wrong number?) We had 2 friends who volunteered to come. We had the 5 heavy pieces and much of the rest of the unit loaded, unloaded and put into place within 2 1/2 hours. I would NEVER recommend this company for any service.

DO NOT TRUST YOUR FURNITURE WITH "My 3 Sons Moving" Not only might it be damaged from mishandling,…read morebut they will NOT make it right. I will have to say that was one of the roughest moves ever. Wildcat did our last move, brought two trucks and not one item was broken or scuffed. They wrapped everything in blankets before even moving it through the house. My 3 Sons guys were speedy but did not take any care to any of our furniture. The lift gate on their trucks is very very ribbed and rough (as it should be anti-skid), yet instead of using dollies they would push everything out to and across it, grinding and ripping away at anything going across it. The bottom left rear leg, and corresponding molding was ripped from our wardrobe, the legs of my cabinet were bent and one ripped off. It was a heavy-duty reinforced steel cabinet. Our 3-month-old couch was man handled vs using team work then slammed down on the power adapters and pushed across the floor of the truck with no blankets. (have video) My cherry TV tray tables were set precariously on the lift and then knocked off to slam into a toy cabinet of my daughters. I am extremely unhappy And the company's contact Mitch Boggs is blowing me off and offering $60 per a damages policy that was never sent to me for review, and I certainly didn't sign. The policy to me would be void anyway as this is not just normal moving damages but GROSS NEGLIGENCE and mishandling. When bottoms start ripping off multiple things you'd think they'd stop and think. I pressed them to use their dollies. I didn't find till later a lamp had Its bottom popped off too. We don't buy the finest of furniture but apples to apples I'd say we are out over $300 to replace the wardrobe, $50-100 for the lamp, the TV trays that were knocked off the truck are scarred and they no long snap into place. One lateral filing cabinet they refused to use a dolly and kept dropping it down onto the concrete. I now have lots of legs of most of the furniture to sand and hopefully match the stain. Power cables to find as items I didn't plan to go were unplugged without me present in the room and some I still haven't matched up yet. And we just got the sectional, and it is scarred and has picks and stitching ripped on it to replace back as it was would be several thousand, as instead of team carrying much of it was man handled in a ripping and dropping fashion. I am currently seeking an attorney that will take this issue forward as it appears they are known for this. I wish I had seen some of these other reviews first.
