Edit 2: I am in the process of selling my house and the home inspector said the work Bobby did to my kitchen was not structurally sound and needed proof of the work they did. I called and asked for the information and Bobby hung up on me. Do not trust this guy with your property. EDIT: There is a response from owner that from a year a claiming he had no idea there was a problem until my review. that is a LIE. I told him about it and he ignored me so I made my review. Then called and screamed at me while threatening me. I never added that to my review tell I saw his response. Last year I had the wall between my kitchen and living room knocked down to about 4 feet and had a bar built on it and had my kitchen painted and a new floor laid. I also had my old deck torn down and a new one built with storage under it. I got Advanced number from my stepfather which had work done by them. After seeing what they did with my project and stuff with his, neither of us would ever recommend these people. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT! First off I am pretty Happy with the kitchen project so that is where the 2 stars come from. That is about all that was good. First off the guy that owns/runs the company doesn't listen to what you want. He does what he wants to do. I didn't want quarter round installed. I told him I had something else I wanted to use which is the same thing I used in my living room when I remodeled it. He didn't listen and put quarter round and painted it. Completely doesn't match so it really looks like crap. They didn't get the floor smooth before putting down the new one. I have spots that are cutting through the new floor and ruining pieces of it. Did I mention the owner doesn't listen and does what he wants??? I also asked if they could nail a gutter that was falling off my house back up since they had all the tools at my house. He simply said yes. Never quoted a price or mentioned anything about money. SO I assumed it was a free quick fix. He charged my $75 for 8 nails and a guy using a nail gun. If he told me he was going to charge me I would of said no. I figured it would be something he would throw in for someone spending $15,000 to him. As for the deck I completely hate it. The rails are coming off and the storage is junk. The rails have been treated but they were not installed level and with only 1 screw on each side so they all look like waved U shapes. They put a little roof on the storage under the deck and it funnels water into the support beam which goes through the storage area. The water runs down the supports and floods the storage area. I guess sealing it from water wasn't important for them so my equipment would stay dry. It's already starting to rot from the inside. I have had stuff completely ruined because of this. Also, I asked about having my deck stained and he quoted me like $400. I passed and decided to do it myself. I finished about 60% of the deck and didn't have time to finish due to work. I called and asked him to come finish it. He called my back and quoted my $800 for the 40% I didn't finish. Ridiculous. He obviously didn't want to do it and should of just said so instead of making a ridiculous quote. Childish. I am thinking about tearing this deck down and having it rebuilt next year. That is how bad I hate it. Even some of the guys working on my house would talk about how bad this guy is when I would talk to them about it. I knew then I had a problem but since they were in the middle of a project I didn't think I could do anything about it. read more

Advanced Roofing and Construction was recommended to me by a colleague when I had some storm damage. The job required a complete reroof and ceiling demo and replacement. Having previous history in the construction business, I am what one of my friends called "the customer that I would never want to work for." I know what to look for and am not afraid to point out flaws. Working with contractors in KY has been a nightmare. They never show up, never return calls, I have had them show up and borrow a tape measure because they didn't bring one, then not call back, etc. Bobby was opposite all of those things. Bobby was extremely friendly, professional, and responsive. He returned my calls and acted quickly when needed. His roofing subcontractor, Bull did an outstanding job on the roof. I have walked it three times looking for flaws. There are none. They identified problems and fixed them. There were no nails anywhere around the house when they walked away. The guys that work directly for Bobby are polite and trustworthy. I was never afraid to leave knowing that they were in our home. They did NOT do what many do: smoke just outside the door (leaving the smell in the house), leave paint all over our grass, or use foul language. I always say that in construction, the most gratifying jobs are the ones that look like you were never there. The work completed by Advanced Roofing and Construction are just that. They hung the ceiling properly, painted the walls sufficiently, caulked all the necessary places, and thoroughly cleaned the areas that necessitated it. I needed my 22 yo roof shingles, my roof gutters and downspouts replaced. I also had a roof water leak that damaged an area of my bathroom ceiling. I got 3 quotes from roofers in Madison County. In Nov, 2016, I chose Advanced Roofing and Construction due to their prompt, reasonable quote, construction knowledge and quick scheduling of my roofing job. I'm glad I chose Advanced Roofing & Construction as everything that owner Bobby Goosey promised, he delivered very professionally and quickly in Nov, 2016. My final payment to him was the same as we had agreed to before the work started. During the quoting phase, Bobby examined my roof by walking on it and measuring it. He took the time to discuss options and pricing for various materials along with his recommendations and most popular choices that others have made, which I appreciated. On the first work day, Bobby's roofing crew replaced the roof shingles with 22 sq of 25 yr Owens Corning dimensional shingles, replaced (2) full sheets of damaged roof plywood, found and repaired a broken roof truss, and changed the roof vent system to full continuous ridge vent per Bobby's recommendation and my agreement. On day two. Bobby's gutter crew replaced all of my gutters and downspouts and covered all gutters with Shur-Flo leaf guards. They also repaired and spackled the damaged ceiling in my bathroom on Day 2. Both crews were very hard working, efficient and courteous to me and were very careful to not damage my property as well as removing all project debris from my property. The issue that began in June of 2015 has been settled effective as of November 2015, as well as the lien being released on our home.

We had ARC put a gabled roof where there was a flat roof before and increase the pitch of another flat roof. They reroofed our entire house (metal roof), and they installed gutters and new windows. Our total invoice with ARC is in the $20,000 range. The owner, Bobby, and his worker, Brian, were always friendly and helpful. We didn't talk to the other assistants as much, but they were always respectful. We have had them come back out to fix gutters after the gutters pulled out from snow and ice. Yes, they charged, but I didn't feel ripped off as another reviewer suggested. The roof and windows were done two years ago. Everything has seemingly been good work. In some cases they did extra work I wasn't expecting. With some of the windows I was planning to redo the trim to better match the rest of the house. They offered to do it even though the upgrade wasn't part of the contract. When I compare to other contractors that I had to continuously follow to make sure they were doing what they said they would do, I consider ARC to be superior. I have recommended ARC to friends, and Bobby has been quick and courteous to them too. read more
