Not sure how good the cell reach yes but it's definitely cheaper. Worth the drive if you're not under contract.

I am a new spectrum customer. My local NC internet company went out of business, and Spectrum was my only choice for internet. The installation went okay, but there were coils of cable left on top on the ground that I was told would be buried in a couple of days. I received a text the next day that a work order had been submitted to bury the cable - and simultaneously received an email that said the cable had been buried, when it had not. I replied to the text and explained this, and was told it would be taken care of. A couple of weeks went by and I heard nothing from anyone. I also stopped getting responses to my texts. So I called Spectrum to see when the cable might be buried since it was laying across a road and cars were driving over it. Most worrisome was that grass was being mowed around it. They said they could send someone out that afternoon. Great. But shortly after making that appointment I noticed my internet was out... someone was in fact cutting grass along the edge of the road and pulled the cable loose from the box. So I called Spectrum again, to make sure the person coming to my house about burying the cable could also reconnect my service. But the woman who answered my call was incredibly rude. I tried to explain what had happened, and she simply would not hear me. She kept saying in an exasperated tone that she had confirmed my information multiple times, when what she was "confirming" wasn't what I was asking! I even asked her to be a bit more understanding since I was a new customer, but she said she was as nice as she could be under the circumstances. What? So far, I am not impressed with Spectrum customer service at all. And I will be marking time until another option for internet becomes available. read more

DO NOT use this phone service!!!! When your phone breaks no one can help you fix it and they will not replace it! You get the run around from the company over the phone then go to the store just to be told there is nothing they can do! Had the phone a few months and it just stopped working! They want you to contact Motorola who has no store fronts and wants you to send it to them and then you're left without a phone for 3 to 5 business days! Go to a place where they can fix the phone in house! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR PHONE SERVICE!!! read more

Inferior to Starlink in every way. Do yourself a favor and never deal with Spectrum billing, outages, or customer service ever again.

I have unfortunately been to this location numerous times in the two years I have lived in my home. They got rid of the Marion store and that's where I live I have to go all the way to the Morganton store. It started when I decided I was going to sign up for services I had to go and pick up my equipment. I went in and got my router, modem, and two cable boxes. Well I get all the equipment home and neither of the cable boxes work so I was told to go back and exchange them for two new ones that they were messed up get them home the same thing. The next day i called and was told the same thing they were bad to bring them in and exchange them. I go down there and request a different model. Duncan informed me they do not know anything about them they get them shipped to the store and give them out that's all. Well I get that set home and they still don't work so I go back down there one more time and exchange them well guess what same thing for a 4th time. This time I go back down to the store and spoke with Duncan again and he sends a tech to my house. The tech gets there and advised me that they don't even have the cable boxes added on my account and that's why they aren't working. Thanks a lot Duncan that's a lot of wasted gas. Well fast forward to a year later my modem goes out so I back down there and Duncan can't even located my account I mean I've only been in there 5 times before. I went to upgrade my phone a few months ago and Duncan couldn't even find out how to upgrade my phone he said it doesn't give him the option so I went to another store and guess what, no issue whatsoever. The last time I went in there to exchange my cable box because the dvr stopped working and Duncan gave me another cable box with a bad dvr so it was a waste or trip I had to go to a store even further away to get one that works. Duncan is ignorant and has no idea what he's doing (not sure how he still has a job). He stands there with a crap eating grin on his face and hands on his hips and his go to answer is I don't know you'll have to call customer service or I can't find your account. Why haven't I had the same answer from any other store. From now on if I ever have to go back I will make it a point to ask for anyone else but Duncan or better yet I won't go to this store ever again I miss the Marion store. read more

I have been a loyal customer of charter communication for many years and put up with their crap letting new customers get great deals while the long time customers get dumped on. We have three services phone, Internet, and tv with charter my bill was around $150.00 a month with fair channel selection now they went up to over $ 170.00 a month I called them they would not budge on bringing down the price I had to take another package which consist of 24-channels ( mostly local tv antenna channel )and showtime for a year for around $130.00 a month around 10 of the 24 channels are online selling and news channels don't even get the weather channel and showtime has too much bad talk too watch it. Charter use to be pretty fair with their customers but any more you just can't communicate with anyone at so called Charter Customer Service! read more
