I'm a former customer of US cellular for 14 years…read more Definitely don't go with US cellular, if you're like me, you dread poor customer service experiences and rude associates. Bad service and poor treatment makes you feel unimportant, disregarded and powerless in the face of an uncaring, emotionless corporate empire. US cellular is like a poster boy for this treatment, they will do you dirty at every turn and will provide a truly spotty and irregular service map while doing so. US cellular will no doubt be bought out or go out of business eventually, but in the meantime, just stay away, seriously. I spoke to "Lisa" from customer service today and she was argumentative, unhelpful, and dismissive. She made me feel like I was the issue when in reality it was entirely US cellular's problem. Overall, I switched networks and I'm very happy I did so. I'll NEVER switch back to US cellular. Even on the way out they make things inconvenient and painful, refusing to take payment any way but via paper check - but they don't say where to send it. Hilarious .

They also overcharge an additional month past date you cancel and refuse to correct and unless you pay they directly send it to a collection agency and mess up your credit rating. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! I personal am going though this experience with them in North western WI. I received their bill. then called them and canceled them. the following month received another bill. 1 month after canceling them. I called them to correct it. basically told to bad and to pay it. When I refused to pay, they sent it to collections and have since ruined my credit rating.

We said we have the contracted amount on hard-copy, and they would not honor it. Bait & Switch, no extras like call-waiting or forwarding, very crappy internet (went out all the time), and sluggish TV streaming. Learn from our experience and run from this business!

Dish currently has the best pricing and so I went online to set it up which should be a relatively simple process, right? Nope. I won't go into the long, horrible story but I'm now on my third rep over 4 days and between online chat and the phone, it's well over 2 hours of my time. Bottom line, they messed up during the credit check process and ended up "locking" me out because they pinged it so many times. They promised a call back to complete the process which of course never happened and when I finally did get set up complete they tried to bait and switch me to a more expensive package. On top of that, more than one rep tried to get me to give them a second credit card number - even though they acknowledged the first one worked just fine. Super, super, super shady. The whole process was time consuming, inconvenient, frustrating and more than a little sketchy. There are very limited choices for TV service in this market and I believe all of them suck.
