One of the most dishonest companies I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They offer you deals that sound good but they quickly start slapping you with random price increases and random charges. A $30 bill they promised will rapidly become $120 due to made up charges. Customer support, while polite, is less than useless. Sometimes they'll wave these imaginary fees, sometimes they'll lie and say they will but won't. With Spectrum you'll be calling several times a month for the exact same issues and never get a meaningful resolution. The internet & phones came as a package so i could not have just the phone service! of course I had to purchase 3 phones because I had 3 businesses. Do not waste your money regardless of the monthly price or deals. The service is always in and out every day and every night. For the past 3 weeks I have only been able to use the internet 1 day when I arrived home from work after listening to the family complain that the internet has been out all day once again no matter how many times they reset it. I was forced to buy a hotspot plan on my ATT phone last year just to access WiFi on my company laptop for Sunday payroll submittal & personal devices. Not only do they have exposed above ground lines that feed the entire block, they will enter your property without notice and leave the gate open for pets to escape and STILL not bury the line or install pedestals as they constantly promise. AT&T has completed their fiber installation in Saginaw so if you are not in contract, or you are getting close to the end of your contract, I highly suggest you switch providers or pay monthly until you are able to do so! read more

Avoid at all costs! I just spent 1 hour with two people in customer service trying to cancel my account. The first 28 minutes before they stopped answering and was on hold for 10 minutes. Then the second one still tried multiple times, putting me on hold between questions to pepper me with offers to keep me. They cheat, they do everything to get you just to hang up and forget about it. I would happily pay more never to work with them again for mediocre service. They never asked to address my concerns only cut the price (for a limited time). Previously I paid 50 dollars more for service than the current standard, just because I didn't call and check on new deals. Horrid! Spectrum has the worst infrastructure for Internet. If the wind blows hard enough or it rains too hard the service goes out. At least a couple times a month I have to deal with no service. Spectrum has horrible customer service. 1. I had my service passed while I was out of town. When I called back, I paid the past due balance and was told it would get turned back on. The rep said he had to call me back so I wouldn't have to hold for a long time. 3 hours later no call. 2. Called back spoke with another rep that said I had to get a new plan and that my old plan is no longer available, got that into place, was told services would be turned on shortly. Whence I went to use the service it didn't work. 3. Called again, this time in told I have 2 accounts an old and a new. I was told there was a hold in the account by a manager and to release the account I had to return the equipment and get the hold released. Her transferred me to another dept rep that said they could expedite the hold and sent me to the store with the old and said I could pick up the equipment. 4. Get to store and hold us still on then they would take equipment. They told me they couldn't help me and I had to call customer service. While in the side I called spoke with another manager who said there was nothing he could do and transferred me over to a voicemail. 5. Called customer service again and repeated the same story I had repeated to the last 12 reps and they sent me to another manager that basically did nothing. All in all o spoke with 14 reps and NONE of them were on the same page. I received no help nor satisfaction. All I was told was they would review all the calls for quality assurance but it will not change the fact that they messed up my account. SPECTRUM YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! Everything about Spectrum is great, EXCEPT one glaring problem, their infrastructure. Almost every time we have a major thunderstorm, wind or heavy snow the internet goes out. We've been without internet for almost 2 days and it's very unreliable right now. I understand this was a major Ice storm and I'd be more patient and forgiving with how long it's taking them to restore service, if it wasn't for the fact that this happens to often when the weather isn't nearly this bad. I called today(2 days) into a new billing cycle to cancel my services as I had already made a commitment to change. After 47minutes and several declines of "how they can help me" they cancelled my service, but was sorry to inform me at a cost of $100.52. I wasn't important enough as a customer to offer a saving, but now that I have decided to change, they can help me, but only if I stay....I will receive a bill for $100.52 for cancellation because I was 2 days into a billing cycle. Every week there's an outage. Then, the speeds are never consistent or the connection is null and void until there's a breath of fresh air for the connection to restabilize. The last straw was on Tax day and there was reported widespread outage. My wife was in the middle of filing corporation taxes, and boom! Fiber out. Investigation showed that there was a cable that was cut, but the trunk line should have been buried enough to mitigate that. Needless to say, it came down to the last minute while my wife was working on cell hotspot. That was worse than watching paint dry. And the installation is a joke. The tech who initially planted my fiber routed the cable to where over time would expose itself to the elements (my dogs) and they would be able to chew it. Replacement cable, never buried. Thank goodness my HOA didn't fine me for it because it was exposed for about a month and a half. Warning, stay away if you can. Been a spectrum customer for over 20 years. Just bought two new 17 phones by speaking to a customer service representative on the phone for an extensive amount of time. Told them we had two phones to trade-in. He explained the entire trade-in procedure and that we would receive an email with the return label for the return of the phones. We received the phones but no trade-in return label. Just contacted customer service and they said he placed the order incorrectly and it was not done as a trade-in sale so we have to take our time to sell the phones. I asked them to listen to the phone call since they stated it was recorded to see that an error was made in the set-up Customer service stated that since we signed off on the incorrect order there is nothing they can do. I do recognize that we should gotten out a magnifying glass to make sure every t was crossed and i was dotted but the gentleman on the phone seemed to completely understand out situation. Absolute garbage service. There have been several outages between the end of August and today, Oct 3rd. Some of them are fast enough to not trigger the automated outage notification system. Bad Internet service, Bad customer service, App is underdeveloped, payment system doesn't support digital wallets (still), outdated website that has links with incorrect data... overall, bad company to do business with. I signed up for the cell phone program $40 a line I found out later that it was only a one year promotion. then when I upgraded my line, it should've been a two day shipping as stated on spectrum's website. after reaching out to FedEx because my package was never received after the second day FedEx says that their standard delivery is 3 to 5 days and not two days like spectrum stated. The incompetence is evident. Order placed and the CSR entered the incorrect address hence the equipment was FedEx'd to the incorrect address. I called the next day to inform them that I didn't get the equipment and they scheduled a tech visit. When I realized the address was incorrect, I called them to correct it, they did, and said they had to create a new account. They didn't cancel the old account so the tech visit was still scheduled which meant I had 2 accounts under my information. I realized the other account hadn't been canceled when I got a text that the tech was on their way so I had to cancel that at the last minute. This morning I had to call to cancel the incorrect account because it wasn't canceled when they were informed of the incorrect address. That is 4 people on 4 separate calls that I had to speak with just to get internet service. read more

If I could give spectrum zero stars I would. I work from home. My WiFi has gone out SEVEN times in the span of two months. I can understand a few hours during a storm or high winds. It happens. But my final straw was on Wednesday of last week my WiFi went out at 11:30 AM. I was in the middle of work. I told my boss and used my hotspot for the rest of the day. Around 6:30 I had enough. I contacted customer service through the chat. I waited 10 minutes for someone to answer. I told them my WiFi had been out for the entire day. Whoever was on the other line told me she could see that two TVs were connected. I told her that wasn't true because I couldn't watch anything, nor could I use my computer. She told me word for word "that sounds like a you issue. Everything is connected on our end" I was ANGRY. I wanted to speak to someone over the phone. So I called the number. Every time I asked to speak to a live agent it rerouted me to another AI robot that rebooted my entire network. Every single time. I got so fed up, I hung up. It is now Saturday and my WiFi has gone out twice a day for about 30 minutes each. I cannot reach out to anyone for help. I will be switching over to AT&T. DO NOT USE SPECTRUM!! I don't know how a company gets to be a top cellular/television provider in one of the largest cities in the US with such terrible service. There are CONSTANT issues with internet connectivity both at home using wifi and using mobile service nearly everywhere I have gone. Half the time the internet is slow when not completely lost. Do not expect trade in deals or loyalty prices on new phones like other companies offer, either. Television offerings are okay but not the best. We've had a poor and nonexistent internet connection from Spectrum for almost a month now. I've been waiting to write this review in hopes that Spectrum support would answer my questions about why this has been going on and when I could expect resolution. They didn't have the answers to my questions. We switched to Spectrum internet about three years ago and I've been pleased with the overall quality and uptime of the connection. In mid-December 2023 this changed with no communication from Spectrum. I want to pause here and positively review customer support. Any time I dealt with a person on the front lines trying to help, I could tell they were doing their best to assist me within the limitations of their roles. All on-site techs did a thorough job of diagnosing and troubleshooting. One even went so far as to run new cable in my attic, which he easily could have opted not to tell me about. One of the chat support specialists gave me a partial refund for December when I asked. In my conversations with the on-site techs, I gathered that the cause of our connection issue was due to widespread maintenance and upgrades in the area. I understand the realities of aging infrastructure and I'm willing to put up with the related short term inconveniences. Two basic tenets of customer service are communication and setting expectations. Someone higher up at Spectrum decided against both. As paying customers we deserve to be informed about connection issues. Email and app notifications are good for incidental hiccups, but we need more for a service disruption of this magnitude. Prior to this service disruption, Spectrum should have preemptively let us know what was planned and what the estimated duration was likely to be. They also should have let us know we could expect refunds and pointed us to clear instructions for getting them. If you are considering moving to Spectrum, I would advise to proceed with caution. We will certainly be keeping an eye out for alternatives after this episode. read more
