If you could give a zero stars review it would be more accurate than one star. Please if your family has medical realted or other critical reasons why establishing internet service is essential make sure that you have a back up solution while you wait for install or choose another provider. Reliability to meet commitments is not something Frontier understands. We were trying to establish new service in an area of town where new lines needed to be installed by their 3rd party contractor. After placing the order several weeks ago and calling twice the pervious week to make sure that work would be completed....the day on stall nothing...no update no information about when service will be connected. When I contacted Frontier on the install day to get a more exact time for the installation I was told the work had not yet been even assigned to a tech because the external work was not completed. No call to update me that the service install would fall off schedule and that we didn't need to have someone take leave from work to be available. Customer Service can't provide the name of the 3rd party or a number to seek an update. The worst part of the customer service experience is the utter lack of accountability and consideration for their customer's time. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told it is impossible to be I could connected to a supervisor. They would need to call me back in 24-28 hours. When I asked who their agent's supervisor was they didn't know. The customer service agent has no way to transfer the call to a supervisor in the call center? Really? I'm sharing my experience not just to warn potential customers in my area but also with the hope that this review makes its way to CEO Nick Jeffery or Charlon McIntosh, Chief Customer Operations Officer. The answer is simple, meet your commitments or have the decency to not blame the failure on your 3rd party sub. Communicate you will not delivery as promised, say your sorry and reset expectations so your customer can make other arrangements. read more

Frontier Internet used to a good company. I signed up for the $29.99 offer which included a free router. They never sent the router. I didn't care because I already had a great router. However, when we had an internet outage, tech support said they couldn't help me because we didn't have their router. Which is ridiculous. I spent 45 minutes on chat support trying to get the free router. They finally agreed to send it, but they are now charging us an extra $7 a month. Chat support said there would be no charges. They lied. This company uses chat support that doesn't speak English and they try to add on extra charges like con artists. It's been a week now since I've tried to get my free modem. They took the charge off but then demanded I return the modem. I have wasted at least 6 hours trying to get this resolved. Today I thought everything was resolved after spending an another hour on chat with them. Guess what, they just sent me another bill for the modem. Do not use Frontier Internet. You will waste hours on chat with people in some foreign company who don't understand English. They will say something is fixed and then try to bill you for something that is supposed to be free. read more

So where do I begin, I have tried to establish an account with these folks for over 2 months. What I don't understand is how you can have an account to collect money, but I can't establish an online account to pay. I tried with 3 different people to get this corrected before they finally interrupted my service. To be honest, I didn't think the speed was any faster than Spectrum's. I'm glad this happened in the early stages of us having this crappy service. I had high hopes, but unfortunately it didn't quite work out. Last thing is if you want to speak to someone in person there isn't a store to go in, you have to do everything over the phone and you might receive a person who just reads from a script. They need better techs that can fix outages faster, especially on weekends. We pay for a service that we are not getting. Internet is out AGAIN. This is the second time this month and is down over 24 hours each time but my bill is still the same amount. They better issue credits to those of us in Springtown. Absolutely the worst company to deal with ! Bar none ! They damaged my property - breaking underground pipes when installing fiber. It's been months and while they opened a ticket for repairs, no one will respond to me to get it fixed. Also - their online and customer service is the worst !! You need to plan to be on the phone for an hour just to get a human to help. Then you may be given another place to call and do it again. With regard to service, it's sketchy. Sometimes it's good and sometimes is slow. I don't see any difference between them and Nextlink - which is probably what I'll go back to !! Either that or Elon musks satellite service. read more

Nearly impossible to get a live person on the phone. Long waits, up to a week of outages (twice!) in the 7 months since signing up with them. No workers on the weekends for customer service or to repair outages. After 5 days of calling them and constantly being told there was no areawide outage we saw workers outside across the street the day before a technician was due at our address. When I called out to him about my service, he told me there was an areawide outage. Now that I am canceling, they are trying to find any way possible to tack on as many additional fees as possible. On top of the $50 cancellation fee there is apparently also an $39.99 early cancellation fee if you cancel within 30 days of your install. As stated above I have had their service for 7 months, however, I still need to request this charge be waived. read more

Since I've switched from spectrum to Frontier, I've encounter multiple outages lasting in excess of 4 hours. As a work from home professional in I.T. this inhibits me from making the pay I need and is frankly unacceptable. I was promised five 9's upon signing. If you know what that means, you know its the industry standard for connectivity. With the amount of outages I've encountered in my area, frontier would need to maintain connectivity for the next 3 years without fault to achieve that number. Calling customer support yields no results and leaves you with an "agent" that has no recourse and no information about ETAs or mitigation. It seems to be a culture at frontier to accept that their systems are sub-par and just credit your account for only the downtime. That being said you have to call them to request a bill credit instead of them admitting fault and just crediting the account, additionally they refuse to credit any outage less than 4 hours. I would be ashamed to work for frontier and I hope they get bought out by a company with the finances and competence to maintain a network at industry standard. ***UPDATE*** 08.18.2023 Yet another outage with Frontier. I will come back to this post and report every outage. Once again, if you're involved in the outage, as soon as its resolved, call and request your bill credit. This is outrageous for such a metropolitan area to be encountering multi day outages. If it's hardware failure, you should have a warm spare ready. If its configuration related, you should review configurations with your peers before application, if someone damaged the infrastructure, you should have a truck ready to go to that location and get to splicing and in the meantime, you should be able to reroute traffic, that way outages only affect a small number of users. In any case, You'll NEVER know what the actual issue is because they refuse to give any information regarding their outages. If you call in to get some more information and the system detects your phone number is tied to an account associated with an outage, the system hangs up on you. As far as ETA's go, it's all arbitrary, they just make up a time in the future and if it exceeds that period, they just make up a new time further in the future without any explanation. This has to be the most poorly managed IT team in the DFW area. How can one group be so unprepared? I'm not trying to be cruel because I'm sure there are some good eggs stuck in a bad salad at frontier, I genuinely hope someone reads this from frontier and says, "Why didn't I think of that?!" and then none of this ever happens again. However, it appears frontier doesn't learn from their mistakes. read more

Horrible! Frontier set me up originally and verified the primary tv worked and my 2nd tv did as well. Only after he left did I discover my 2nd tv was only turned on and never verified with a wifi connection. I've spent a month trying to get my 2nd tv connected to wifi using their online "help" and "chat" (nonhuman) options and got nothing. Daily I would try and daily I failed. Today, I called and went through the automated chat hoops to jump through, only to FINALLY be connected to a human. He tried what he could, but again, I gained no resolution. He finally told me it was my tv and I'd be charged $10 a month for a troubleshooting service. Really? I have to pay more to get customer service for a service that was supposed to have been rendered upon origination? Outraged and afraid I'd lose my cool on the phone, I hung up frustrated ready to go with another wifi carrier. Going at it just "one more time," I clicked options without any technical knowledge and guessed at what I was doing. After multiple clicking, of which I have no tech savvy, I FINALLY got a wifi connection. I couldn't tell you what I did but I just thank the wifi Gods that my random and ignorant clicking got me a wifi connection. Frontier customer service offered NOTHING to help...unless they were going to charge me for the work they did not complete. For now, I'll keep them, but I am intent on looking for better customer service from another service. Worst customer service I've ever received from any company. read more

I would give no stars if I could. I got internet 4 days ago,I am paying for 500mbp I am receiving less than 200. Their customer service is extremely poor,10+ minute waits,rude,hanging up on you. The tech who came out to install did a poor job though he claimed everything was working when he left,he lied. He hooked up to our old router which was connected to our old service. My son had to fix his mistakes,when he called him on sun he got belligerent. We called customer service on Mon spent 4 or 5 hrs trying to resolve the issues only to be told it would cost 150 to send a tech out. I tried to cancel our service only to be told we couldn't do so without a PIN number. We do not have a pin number because they have not displayed any acct info on their site. I was told that would be resolved within 24 hrs on Friday. It is Mon and nothing has been done. They refuse to give me a pin number via email or text only snail mail so they can delay cancellation.​ read more
