After multiple misunderstandings and misinformation about what was offered and how to get the program we wanted, we did eventually get the correct information by calling their help line, since it seemed impossible to get the telephone number for the Local store. We were consistently put in contact with their main office, not a local store. The correct program cost more than they had originally told us locally and had fewer benefits, but we eventually ended up with something that was workable. I went here to activate my new phone service. The first representative (Kaitlyn), seemed like she was in a hurry to be done with me... sipping her drink,and checking her phone. She had tried several times to hand me over to the other specialist, and also told me that they are not supposed to be setting up my phone.(even though I had called ahead to find out that they indeed can and will set up my service.). Spectrum has probably the worst customer service out of any television/internet providers. Everyone from the techs to the people on the phones seem to not care one bit about the customer. I would never consider their phone services! As far as the products (services) offered-- internet is slow and unreliable. Television service was intermittent. We disconnected the television service, but are stuck using Spectrum internet because our experience with ATT was even worse. I would suggest avoiding Spectrum on the whole. You would think once the facility generates 30+ customers inside they would lock the door; nope; people still entering and social distancing is nowhere in effect. I was walking thru Walmart store I signed up for service back early 2022 . Technician came out to do installion asked me to give him my installation box ! I hadn't received it , he says we show it delivered here gave me date . Told him installation kit not here ! He says when it comes in call and schedule me again! Few days when by finally came in , called to get it done they said it would be 2 -3 weeks ! So I took it back to spectrum never opened it up on Alps Bridge , they wouldn't take it but send me to UPS ! They mailed everything back ! I get billed for monthly service immediately I call they said o it will clear up don't worry about it ! it will clear out when equipment gets back ! I waited next month get 2 months bill now . called same story it will clear out ! i send note in bill told them what happened they called says your good want be billed ! Thats funny all sudden they send my stuff to collections, ! i explained this to collections they wouldn't listen telling me I got pay for 2 months service even after never been installed ! now I'm getting notification from lawyer saying I owe for 2 months even though never hooked there Spectrum stuff up ! Not sure how a company can be so terrible at customer service on all fronts, but this location just ices the cake. I waited in line for 30 mins just to be told that returns aren't done at this location and that they have a sign on the door. Went to the door and asked her where it was, she walked a outside the building to a wet piece of paper on the brick pillars and said here it is. We had to stop by to pick up a router after a long day of trying to set up a new apartment. There were a lot of people in line in front of us but it moved quickly. It was very clean and nice inside. I think the reason this place had a lot of bad reviews is because people are more likely to walk out of somewhere like this angry and want to leave a review, when there are many happy customers who just don't think if it. I didn't catch the name of the woman who helped us but I think her name started with an E and she had awesome curly hair. She was quick, helpful, friendly, and so nice to talk to. They offer you deals that don't exist and then charge you for them and when you try to remove the add ons like spectrum app, they tell you that a 15.00 charge that's free with the service can not be removed. If so my internet bill will double. How is it free if there is a 15.00 charge. And how if not in a contract why can't I remove it. Do not believe anything this company tells you. Horrible cable/"internet" service provider. You don't get the Internet speeds you pay for. Router constantly crashed and always has intermittent internet service. Customer service is the worst. Never can help and blame you for internet issues even though you pay to use THEIR equipment. More expensive than Xfinity. Xfinity never let's me down. I came in to the Epps Bridge Spectrumto change out my TV cable box as I could not get my cable working while on the phone with Spectrum support technicians. I spent 45 minutes in line with only 2 customer service representatives to help people. The line was back to the door. I signed in and after waiting forever, my name was next in line. The customer care person called another person up, so I continued waiting. After I finally made it to a customer care person, she switched out my boxes quickly without any courtesy or professional demeanor. When I got home and hooked up my box myself, I realized my TV was still not working and I had lost WiFi. I called the Spectrum technician again and she set my WiFi up via a signal. The local Spectrum store rep on Epps Bridge Road never mentioned that I needed to complete this step. The Epps Bridge store service, wait time and courtesy is absolutely terrible. Management needs to look into the problems at this location in Athens, GA. read more
