Ok so I have been here now a few times to have some upgrades done and some general maintenance and just want to say how happy I am with the quality of work and customer service. Alan and Rachelle are awesome. First class place. They installed an outside entertainment cabinet in my 2008 Holiday Rambler Scepter and everything is great. Looks better than original ones I have seen. This was no easy task and involved some major work to fit in; back of couch had to be modified, wiring, paint match and all done perfect. They keep u informed of work being done and return all calls in a timely manner. Another thing is they keep all rigs locked inside, not just sitting in parking lot at night. Alan & Rachelle Walker are THE best. We have a 2015 Airstream that came with a U-dinette that I hated. It took up more than half the middle of the trailer (not enough room left to work in the kitchen) & was really uncomfortable. Sooooo Alan FIXED IT! My husband and I live in Los Angeles, and wanted to purchase a fifth wheel in Sacramento. Rather then make the 6+ hour drive without knowing If the trailer was worth the purchase, we hired Specialized RV / Allen to inspect the trailer, to advise of it's condition. We were told it was in great shape, with the exception of the Roof, and Tires. We decided to purchase the trailer, and we hired Allen to seal/coat the roof, and replace the tires. With the repairs done and paid for prior to pick up, the trailer would be "all set". We drove the trailer home 6 hours or so, then the first trip, we noticed a huge gash in one of the tires. Then noticed all the tires were showing signs of needing to be replaced as they all had cracks. If the new tires we purchased had truly been done, there is no way, after 9 hours on the road they would have needed to be replaced. The roof wasn't completed either. We just again had the entire roof resealed, and recoated, at a tune of $1000.00. Now that I know what a re-sealed/recoated roof is supposed to look like, it's very clear it was never done. I've never felt so taken advantage of. Negative 5 stars is in order for this shop. I would stir clear. read more

They worked with our insurance company's to insure quality repairs at a fair price and completed the work before our deadline. I used Yelp to find this business in late August 2014. I called and spoke with Allen to see if his shop could accommodate a laundry list of items we wanted customized/modified on our 5th wheel during a specified time frame. My wife and I brought the 5th wheel to his shop from the Bay Area a week later so Allen could look at exactly what we wanted to give us an estimate. During that trip we were able to go to the local showroom he uses to pick out carpet and luxury vinyl tile. We put down a deposit and scheduled a window of time and a drop dead date as we were moving into it full time in Lodi. One thing to note our rig is 43 feet and The shop is extremely easy to locate and drop off / pick up at. Allen not only met our timeline he was able to accommodate the rig as we needed to push out a week due to a broken wrist. The following is a list of items Allen and his team modified / customized for our 2011 Cylcone 3800 5th wheel in less than 4 weeks. Remove carpet and replace only in closet and living room slide out. Remove all vinyl flooring and replace with LVT in Living Room/Bath Room/Bedroom Add customized storage shelves to existing bedroom closet. Customize stairs to bedroom and add a safe and storage area underneath stairs. Customize loft area. Maximize space by evening out cabinet area. Remove loft padding, customize the upper rail on the loft to allow for easy access to retrieve bins while making it secure enough for travel. Remove Bed Mattress and Couch. Ordered and shipped new mattress to them which they installed. Upgraded Queen Bed Platform to marine grade platform. Installed slide out covers on three slide outs Removed and replaced living room TV Added TV and swing arm mount to the garage so can be safely stowed. Moved and installed cable lines and customized compartment to hide cables. Added door latch and removed spring arm to front door. Gave us a recommendation for a security system TattleTale Alarm which we purchased. Allen and his wife Rochelle were extremely clear and responsive to all emails and phone calls. They provided us picture updates of demolition and installation. When we picked up our rig it was like having a brand new one all over again. We decided that when we are done with our cross country journey we would down size and let them do a complete remodel on an RV. Wanted to take some time to write this review on this awesome company, Specialized RV in Sacramento. I rely mostly reviews to be able to make an informed decision about one thing or another. I personally have written several reviews, some good and some not so good. When seeking out someone to perform all the renovations on our then 2 year old motorhome (don't judge, we love our floor plan), after reading the numerous reviews, it was no doubt that Allen and Rachellee at Specialized RV were going to be the chosen ones. Last December we took it in with a quite large hit list, some small but mostly big things. We were very specific of our wants and we are huge on customer service (that was ultimately the reason we picked them). We did the walk through, there were things that were recommended based on their experience and there were some things, that although they had not done it before, they were all in. The main reason that they are able to live up to their outstanding reviews on service is that Allen and Rachellee keep very few select employees on hand that specialize in what they do. Very low overhead and only take in a few rigs at a time. This way they are able to focus their time on those rigs. They do not advertise and they are ALWAYS full and busy, in fact, we waited two months after our initial meeting to start the work. The items on our list was to put an outdoor entertainment system in (originally not there), replace all flooring, put a tilt bed in (very challenging and complex), remove all decals and paint graphics then clear coat the entire rig. We had an automatic shade for the front shield and installed side shades (was a curtain originally), had a complete matrix system installed, recessed the stove and had a custom cover to match our counter to provide a more clean and useable space. New and improved macerator, backsplash, chrome side mirrors, sound bar in living room and outdoor LED lighting. There were littler things (detailed things) as well. The three top things on our list... the bed, originally we had maybe 12 inches at the foot of the bed and closet, with the slide out, since the tilt bed was installed we gained an additional 18 inches, huge improvement; outdoor entertainment system (very strange and scary to see a huge and I mean huge hole in the side of your rig when not originally there). This was a huge upgrade, we had Allen and his team install the 40" TV on a drop down mounting bracket. It drops the TV about 11" which is much easier to watch especially for my husband who has Vertigo; and finally the paint. Our rig was very common and generic looking, no personality, mostly beige. This was a fun process to watch, due to not technically getting a full body paint job done, we were kind of at the limitations of what they could do with covering up the "halos" of the old decals. We asked Allen to come up with a design and they did not disappoint! Allen and Rachellee were INCREDIBLE to work with. They provided feedback and suggestions based on their knowledge and experience, they sent us updates every week, "Photo Friday", and they were very upfront and honest with the entire process. We highly recommend Specialized RV, Allen and Rachellee, as your go to for any RV work that you want or need. This is the only place that we will take our RV. Allen has done work on both of the RV's and always done an exceptional job at a fair price. I brought my wife's BMW 325 to Specialized R.V. Repair for some front end damage and rear quarter panel damage suffered in an accident. Allen and Jeremy came very highly reccommended by acquaintances in the Automotive industry. I could tell from the start that they were focused on doing a quality job. Right off the start they noticed several items that my adjuster missed completely. They also went to bat for me to replace items that my adjuster marked to "repair and refinish". All items that were pointed out to my adjuster ended up being fixed and all items that were originally written to be repaired were in fact replaced. We stopped by Specialized RV looking for a company to do some major renovations on our 40' motorhome and met the owners Rachellee and Allan. They were very welcoming and walked us through their shop and several jobs in various stages. We were very impressed with them and their facility so we scheduled to have some work done. They have a showroom with many samples to choose from. We stopped by the shop every week to check on the progress and we always felt welcome. They would take us back to the rig, show us how the work was going, and talk about options on anything they found that needed repaired. Rachellee or Allen were always available to answer questions and they even took pictures for us of how the work was progressing. They went above beyond making sure everything was done correctly and to our liking. We got new LVT flooring thru-out, new carpet on slide-outs, new day/night blinds for all windows, leak repairs on two walls, one broken and one foggy window repaired, cracked hatch replaced, new captain and co-pilot chairs, roof resealed and leak checked, and the entire front of the rig was painted and sprayed with Amour Coating. All the work was done very professionally and we were very pleased with the results. Our coach is ten years old but looks new again. They finished on time and budget, we would definitely recommend them and we will use them for future work. read more

The shop is clean and the two guys who run it are pretty cool cats (Allen and Jeremy). They advertise heavily on Craigslist to attract the thrifty consumer by teasing with low prices and dealer-like service. I had a roof re-seal performed on a 37' Class A motorhome and felt that the charges were excessive ($460). What this included was washing the roof down, picking the old caulking off around vents, etc., and globbing some new caulk over the seams (yes globbing as there is no need to tape, etc when you can't see it). I estimate the work performed took ~ 2 hrs and ~$35 in materials. I would have been happy at $300 and the shop would have made $75 + / hr for "no-brainer" work. It's not like they were rebuilding an engine or doing something technical, they were squeezing a caulking gun. To top it all off, I located a tear in the rubber (very obvious) that should have been repaired but was simply glanced over. Nothing like spending $500 on a roof seal only to have it leak on the next rainfall. Anyway, Allen was nice enough to drive me to south Sac to pick up my truck after I dropped off the rig (thanks Allen) but I did give you fuel money and had every intention of giving you more work in the future. Best of luck to you guys, and do consider lowering your rates for caulking as I'm certain you will make it back ten-fold. read more

We are so happy with the work done on our motorhome by Allen at Specialized RV! Our coach is 10 years old and we needed to upgrade our entertainment system and we replaced the existing sofa with a double recliner. Allen knew exactly what we needed from our descriptions and he helped us obtain a double recliner made to our specifications that is perfect for our coach. He and his crew did a wonderful job installing a new digital antenna, blue ray player and smart TV with surround sound. He had to modify the TV cabinet to fit the new TV and he did such a great job that it all looks original. They were honest and upfront with all estimates and kept us informed of any changes. Everyone at the shop was a pleasure to work with. They actually cared about our satisfaction with their work, which is not true at all shops.
