Excellent work again. Consistent and meticulous. They trimmed our three tall palm trees looking like ananas now and took care of a bee hive hiding in the tree. They protected my hedges and cleaned everything at the end. Well done. That's the company you want to use for all things trees and hedges and Alberto the boss is a pro. read more

Special Tree Service - Freshly cut trees! - Tree Services Near Me - La Crescenta, California

Great experience! Great crew! I needed 7 Cypress trees removed from my property for fire safety compliance. I was worried about the power and cable lines running right through the trees, but Alberto assured me his crew could handle it. And they sure did! Alberto quoted me a more than fair price for removal and stump grinding, and his crew was awesome in every way -- professional, polite, and extremely careful of my delicate California native garden. The guys worked expertly around the power lines and there wasn't a single issue. And the cleanup afterward was spotless. I highly recommend these guys. Big thanks to Alberto and his awesome crew! read more

Thank you Aiden and Alberto, you guys do a fantastic job every time! My trees are trimmed to perfection and my yard is clean.

They were amazing! I had a very large oak tree I wanted to be trimmed exactly how I wanted it. They listened and were professional and took my feedback and comments and did what I wanted them too. I appreciate it and I will use them again! read more

Alberto was nice, attentive, respectful and didn't ever try to pressure me into hiring him when I called him, multiple times, for information to help me make my decision as to who to hire. He quoted me the lowest price out of five businesses. I agree with the other five-star reviews: Great service all the way around. His son, Aiden (sp?), was, also, nice, attentive and respectful. I hired based on all of these factors, not just price. I feel very pleased. read more

Alberto and crew did required tree trimming last year and the results were great. They came back this week to remove 5 cypress trees (I found out were highly flammable) and more trimming. Special Tree Service - Cypress removal in narrow walkway - Tree Services Near Me - La Crescenta, California

Alberto was so great! I have been trying to find a tree stump for my backyard for quite a while when I saw a some workers on a street in my community. I asked one of them,Sergio, if I could possibly get one from them and he gave me Alberto's number who called me back immediately. We spoke on Friday and he delivered one to my house, on Saturday, the very next day! How amazing is that? He was so nice and did it for free. If they are anywhere as good as their customer service (mind you they were hired by my city as private contractors to remove huge trees on a major street) then I would recommend them to everyone. I can't say enough nice things about them! Thanks Alberto...you are amazing! read more

Highly recommend! Alberto and his crew of 9 arrived on time and promptly got to work on our tree that needed dead and broken branches removed, as well as being thinned out. 5 guys worked in the tree while 4 guys picked up all the branches immediately to prep for the shredder mulcher. Alberto knew exactly which branches to remove and also had his crew branches that I also wanted cut back a bit more. They all arrived in full gear and face masks. They were safe, funny, and respectful of our property and our yard. They ensured that our landscaping was not damaged or ruined. They finished the job in 2.5 hours and cleaned everything up in the yard - I didn't need to clean anything up. Very professional and something that I appreciate. Be aware that they have a lot of work going on while people are staying at home, so I had to be patient and wait a couple of weeks for an appointment, but I wasn't going anywhere! read more

I am so glad I called Alberto Castro from Special Tree Service. I initially called to see if they could work around some bees in a tree I wanted trimmed (other companies didn't want to deal with it). An hour later (!) Alberto and an 8 man crew were at my house trimming an ash tree, a cedar tree, and 5 palm trees. I couldn't believe it - they worked FAST and did a quality job for a great price. They say if you want good price/quality/speed you have to sacrifice one but let me tell you, Special Tree Service gives you all three. I highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation. read more

Alberto is an expert at his craft and has complete command of his excellent crew. What really shines is his honesty, kindness, and consideration to get the job done in the timeframe necessary. He gave a beautiful large eucalyptus over my house the trim it badly needed. When I first hired an arborist just to assess it and Alberto's advice was the same I hired him immediately. What a great find he is to keep LA a tree-healthy city. Much much appreciated, and thankful for him. read more

I absolutely recommend these guys. I sadly had to part with a 60 year old pine bc it was infested. We had Alberto and team take out a tree that was becoming a plumbing problem with roots, but also had his crew do an overall (and severely overgrown) clean up and prune in our front yard of natives. I met Alberto and his crew when they came to do a job for my neighbor. Since their access to the giant cacti was from my yard, I had interaction with all the guys. This is truly a great bunch of people. Alberto is very professional and honest. His crew is amazing! Respectful is an understatement. The job took 3 days. At the end of each day, my driveway was cleaned up. On the final day, I couldn't tell they had been there; except for no more 30' cacti! I asked Alberto to do some light tree trimming for me. Omar, one of the crew, made sure he trimmed exactly where and what I wanted. Oh, and, they do concrete removal, as well! I will be calling again soon with another small concrete removal job. I highly recommend this team of experts! read more
