We had a hectic week at our new home and the water wasn't working for over a week! Even during the…read morecrazy snowstorm we had in the area and everybody had frozen pipes or burst pipes, LaVergnes saved us!! They sent a friendly technician named Randy and he was super knowledgeable, explained everything in detail and did a great job. He took his time and we appreciate his work! The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was having to wait over 48hrs for a invoice of the work provided from the dispatch. They even sent us a gift!!!! Will be sure to refer to others as well call them if any work is needed! Just make sure ask for a receipt or price estimate before starting service Thanks again!!

My mom is an 89 year old widow in Whatcom County who had an issue where water from the well was not…read moremaking it to the house. She called LaVergne Plumbing & Heating as it was the first name to pop up on a search. A technician named Brian arrived and quickly told my mom it would be over $7,000 + with tax. That was BEFORE he went out and took the lid off of the well to inspect. My mom, unsure what to do, signed off to get the well working again. At that point, because Brian did not have a work truck there, my mom's neighbor took the lid off the well with his tractor. They then discovered the deteriorated galvanized pipe in the well. The entire replacement of the pipe was four feet, dug out next to the well by hand, not by excavator or machine. The four foot section of pipe was replaced along with a check valve. That was the entire extent of what was replaced. They brought in someone to reconnect the pump. The well worked. It did not take long and it did not take much work with very little replacement parts (four feet of pipe and a new check valve). Brian insisted this was $7,000 in work and demanded my mom pay IN FULL before he would leave. This is a classic case of a company that took full advantage of an 89 year old widow who had no idea that she was overpaying by thousands of dollars. When my mom called the company to talk with the owner, nothing was done and the owner never called. Instead, Brian himself came back out and made the comment to my mom when told that he was completely overpaid, "Well, you have water, don't you?" Only a company with no moral compass would do this. I would highly recommend calling other companies and avoiding this firm.
