Friendly and courteous, but very expensive. $2500 quote to replace the sink I bought from Home Depot.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY Situation: water heater is out Their solution: Plumber gave no options to either replace or repair. He went straight to descaling the heater and saying he will order/replace the part. Outcome: Nicole says the part was "rush delivered" twice and it was the WRONG PART TWICE. (This is over the course of a month). Nicole continually blames us for not replacing the heater even though she ordered the wrong part twice and the plumber did NOT give us consent to descale the heater AND he did NOT recommend to replace it. Overall Review: Favinger is the most DISORGANIZED organization. Take your business elsewhere. read more

We tried to do business with Favinger. Leigha's initial response was prompt and upbeat, but inaccurate in that she gave me a rough estimate for a standard toilet when I had specified a macerating version. I called Favinger and was told she was at lunch but would call later. While waiting, I took pictures of the current unit and sent them to her, along with a message stating I'd be out after 3 PM. I returned home to a Yelp message stating she had tried to call, but " was unable to leave a voicemail". My phone showed no missed calls, but she stated she'd call me the next morning. The next business day came and went with no contact. That evening, I sent a terse Yelp message stating she had mis-quoted initially, and for 2 subsequent days I saw no contact. She emailed back that my phone was "not accepting calls" possibly due to their VOIP phone system. I replied with a restated phone number. Jeremy the operations manager joined in stating they would not do business with me because of my email critical of the lack of communication. I get it, but if they think there is a phone issue, they could have: 1. Used a cell phone or any non VOIP line 2. Texted me 3. Noted on Yelp after the full day of no reply that they had attempted, and could I call them I'm disappointed. Favinger was my preferred choice, but ineffective communication led to a failed relationship. Still looking. read more

I was in a pinch, toilet flange was coming loose and was stripped also could smell the sewage line meaning the wax seal popped off too. I was leaving town for work in a few days and needed this done asap. Tried to replace a toilet on my own once and stated to myself "never again." Tried contacting multiple plumbers in the area and these guys were only one of the 2 to contact me back. They were able to make an appointment for me and come out that same day. The guys that came were super nice and professional. They literally took the toilet out, replaced the flange and bolts, put in a new wax ring, put the toilet back in, and caulked the bottom within an hour! The only thing was they were a bit pricey but honestly, you get what you pay for around here. If you want a professional and solid job, call these guys. They definitely will be getting my business again!!! read more

Daniel and crew were amazing. I had already had a different plumber hydrojet the drains, and now clogged again. They tried to snake it twice, then Daniel told me they had located the clog, and it would have to be cut out. I said 'do it!' and half an hour later he showed me what they found. Yikes. I wanted to update my review. As I said in my last review, the people are responsive and proficient but I had an issue with overpricing. It turns out it was an honest mistake and the manager took care of it. We all have new employees and lots of training going on, so I totally understand. Had them out for a water heater installation. The old unit was 20 years past due for replacement, and I was pleasantly surprised with the service charge. The cost of the unit was pretty steep, but that's life. They installed a new expansion tank overflow and were able to keep the old pan which saved me a few bucks.would recommend! read more

Truth be told I was anxious about calling a plumber when my kitchen sink started to leak. Can I get away with just sticking a bucket down there?? But alas no as I know way too many scary stories about mold growth due to leaks. The last plumber was expensive, incompetent and thought it necessary to pontificate on his unsolicited political views. The plumbing company before that didn't even bother to show up. So you'll forgive my resistance to the trade. Regardless, pain points gotta be relieved. Took a deep breath and called Favinger. Happy to say that I was blessed with Steve & Mike -- a highly competent & uber professional duo. From call to completion, they took less than 90 minutes. They were straightforward, explained everything in laypersons terms, efficiently resolved the issue and charged a reasonable amount. They were also very kind and an absolute pleasure to work with. They also provided very useful suggestions for two plumbing projects that I'll be addressing in the future and you know I'll be hiring these guys to handle them. Bummed to have a poor experience with Favinger. I called Favinger to have a new kitchen faucet installed in my house. I asked how much it would cost, the person on the telephone would not give me a price. She said it would be $40 to have a plumber show up. On the appointed day the plumber shows up, takes a look at the existing faucet. A couple minutes later he gives me a price, $280+ to install this faucet (not including the faucet). I asked how long is this going to take? What is the hourly? He wouldn't provide me either answer. Here is why. Favinger is a flat rate shop. Flat Rate is a pricing method that assigns a flat price for a procedure no matter the variables. The other part of this is that the lady I talked to knew this, she new they were a flat rate shop and I told her what I needed done. So she could have given me a range for new faucet installs. But she didn't even though I asked. So this turns into a way to 1) make a gross profit on a fairly simple job or 2) get $40 out of me for 5 minutes of time. I ended up putting in the faucet myself. It took me 50 minutes and I have never done this before. read more

Our toilet flooded and sewage was backing up into the shower on a Saturday afternoon. We called a couple of plumbers and one of them answered but said they had a lot of calls ahead of us and recommended a couple of other plumbers, including Favinger. We called and left messages at Favinger and another plumber, but Favinger called us back within the hour and arrived within a couple of hours even though they had other calls to attend to. They folded us in to the workload and we were very grateful. They cleaned out our main sewage line and let us see into the pipe with the camera snake. It cost $663, including the $100 emergency fee that we were glad to pay. Not cheap, but not too much, according to the national average for this service. This is to revise my review from yesterday. Favinger came out yet again (the 3rd time) and finally fixed my leaky faucet. The hot water is coming out of the hot side and the cold water is coming out of the cold, the faucet isn't leaking, and I wasn't charged for the second or the third call. Jeremy was in constant contact with me during the whole time, and eager to make good, and for now, all is good. If anything goes wrong, I will report it, but now I am a satisfied customer. IF this all happened on the first call, I would have rated them 5 stars, but they get 4 because it took 3 trips. read more

We have used Favinger twice, and both times we were pleased. This week, we had a leak under the sink and they were able to have them come fix it fairly quickly. I appreciated being able to discuss what was needed, obtain options, be given a solid estimates and time to decide based upon our needs. During the recent cold snap, my partner and I were some of the unlucky folks whose pipes froze. Favinger was very responsive on the phone, despite the high volume of calls, and got someone out as soon as they could. Ryan and Aaron were our plumbers and they did a fantastic job fixing our pipes. They kept us informed throughout the process of what they were doing and asked for our permission before doing anything we hadn't previously discussed. They were very thorough and professional, and they did a great job of explaining the problems and solutions. They taught us how to mitigate the pipes freezing in the future as well (cover up the crawlspace vents and leave the faucets dripping). In the end we had six breaks; it's been nearly two weeks and we haven't had any trouble since. The cost was extremely reasonable for the number of issues we had. Last week one of the toilets and showers seemed clogged, and water started leaking into the basement. After trying everything we could think of we realized it was the sewer and called Favinger. The crew was fabulous. Their knowledge and experience exceptional. Using the camera Nick took me on a guided tour of my sewer line, all the way to the street He showed me where it changed materials, and where the clog was. He said the condition of the line was fair, and it will need a new lining eventually, (12K) but for now I could get away with cleaning every couple years. Totally honest and candid. Can't say enough good. Price was fair, and they responded in two days. Highly recommended. read more

I should have listened to my neighbors who said not to go here. They were very overpriced - 350 just to look at the issue. Then quoted me and charged twice the amount. The plumber was not kind- when we were trying to cut costs he came back with "i told you so" attitude and was not helpful whatsoever. read more

Have used them in the past and were satisfied. This morning leaves us a bit distressed... The Thursday prior we made an appt for them to come out Monday. They confirmed that they could have someone there between 8-10:00 So far- perfect... 9:15 my wife calls to verify and was told that they left us a message and since we didn't respond they took us off the schedule. What's the point of making an appointment with them ? How many times do you need to confirm something ? She took a half day off from work just to hear this? Now it looks like she will need to take the whole day! She also said the girl on the phone was quite condescending and rude... Not real happy... Ok- It's several hours later... Super friendly, honest people working for Favinger Plumbing. I called them because my sump pump wasn't working and they sent two employees out to fix it. The pump had gotten unplugged under the house and when they reconnected it it worked. They wrote up a bid to replace it (just in case) so that I would know the cost for the pump and service time and it was very reasonable. read more

The two guys were at my house for less than ten minutes, told me I needed two new toilets and were unable to explain what the problems were with them. Just kept saying they were old and they had two new ones in the truck they could put in for $1200. When pressed about why they were sorta working, just slow, and which piece wasn't working on either/both of them, they again said they were both old and it wasn't a piece, toilets either work as a unit or they don't, and both toilets needed to be replaced. Over due in rating this company. I have used Favinger on several occasions. They replaced the faucets to my washer & dryer. Such a great job that if this house collapsed, no matter what, Favinger faucets would still be standing. We discovered a leak in one of our outside hose bibs, we decided to have all 4 of them replaced. The workmanship was exceptional! Yesterday, we had a leak under our kitchen sink which required us to replace our 20+ year old garbage disposal. They worked with our tired plumbing brought it up to speed and again did a phenomenal job. They are reasonably priced, very professional and "always" do an outstanding job. Had a massive plumbing job at our restaurant. I mean MASSIVE. Art coordinated all the pieces (demolition, permitting, concrete fill, reconstruction, etc) and presented the bid as a single, start-to-finish, job. The crews were able to start sooner than anticipated, and the whole job was finished ahead of schedule, and (at least a little bit) under bid. Follow-up was great, and he has helped me with producing whatever totals/subtotals the insurance company has asked for. The guys who came to do the work, including multiple late-night emergency situations, were always prompt, amicable, and discreet. The office workers, as well, were always pleasant and accountable for whatever information they were required to pass on. Truly a top-notch organization, all around. Go-to for any of our plumbing needs! We bought a house this summer and needed to have some hose bibs repaired (and one moved). The guys who came out (Nick I think?) were very professional and nice according to my husband who was here both times we have had them come out. They did great, clean work.
