Last night I ordered 12 boneless wings. They were the smallest wings I have ever had. They did not taste good and there was nothing to lead me to believe that anyone in our group had excellent food. We sat at one of the high tables and the waitress stood at the end of the table instead of walking around the table and asking for your order. So basically you had to shout your order to her. That being said, this is the place to go and watch sports. If there was a game I wanted to watch while eating something, I'd probably go here. Just don't expect much. read more

Place use to pretty nice 10ish years ago but has really went down hill. The owner seems to be losing touch with reality and their quality is suffering. I ate wings here 10/24/22 around 7p. The next day I had food poisoning and it was terrible for a week and a couple of days and it finally subsided. Some people like to try new beers when you go to a bar. Me for one. This bar has a huge variety. However, this bar does not have a list of what they offer. The waitress told me I could walk over to the bar and see what was offered on tap. After I was seated. How lame is that? I guess the yuppies that hang out in here must all drink bud light so they don't need a beer list. The atmosphere is good. Great variety of seating options. The bad thing is the horrible sound system. So loud and distorted that you cannot understand what is being said. You have to yell at your pals. TVs are everywhere. The waitress was great (except for no beer menu) and did a great job even though they were crowded. They have really great bar style food. The hamburger and fries we're excellent. I recommend it! if i could give negative stars i would! i'll start from the beginning. me and my friend came in to a mostly empty dining room to not be served for 20/25 minutes. when we got our f****** food the manager came over and i kid you not took one of our onion rings off our plate, and then when he was notified that said plate was not someone elses plate proceeded to take another f****** onion ring off the second plate and place it back on the first plate. Well at first it appeared to be decent. Quick drinks, made well, etc. Then later in the night the drug dealers came in, offering multiple different hard core drugs to patrons. Made it extremely uncomfortable. The bartenders seemed to be fully aware as they watched those individuals very carefully all night, but did nothing. I had a sub from here and I'm not a spicy food fan but the peppers and the meats on the sub mixed so well I wanted keep eating the sub was also a great size too and the toasted raviolis where so fun and made a great snack for drunk me to eat later in the night. Our waitress did a good job and was the ONLY thing good about the visit for me. The amount of meat in the Reuben was about half of what it used to be and the sandwich which used to be of the best in town is now the worst. The others in the party said the chicken fingers were good and the hamburger was "average." We arrived around 5pm on a Sunday and soon the atmosphere was horrible due to the foul mouthed bartender who dropped "f bombs" left and right and spoke of socially inappropriate things throughout. My soccer team has been eating at speakeasy annually when we are in town for a tournament. We stop in every time because the food and atmosphere are terrific. There were numerous t.v.'s mounted throughout the restraunt with all the games on. The servers were fun and nice and not to bad to look at(; The food was the best part of the restraunt. The menu is filled with great options to chose from and did not take to long to get our food. When my "South of the Border" did arrive I devoured it in minutes with great satisfaction. I was kind of worried that I wouldn't find a place in Salina that I absolutely loved. I had tried a few places and hadn't seen that place that really excelled in restaurant service. When my friend reccomended we try the Speakeasy, I was skeptical. The night before involved a bit of alcohol, and although I wasn't suffering the hangover, I was suffering the sluggish aftereffects. (To tell the truth I threatened my buddies life if this place was anywhere near my fears of what it could be). We entered and my fears were instantly dismissed. The first thing I noticed before opening the double doors to the restaurant was the smell. It was the smell of food, not just any food, but APPETIZING food. We seated ourselves and were quickly helped by a server (I think her name was Sara). She got our drinks and we ordered some wings and a sandwich. The wings were great! They had an excellent buffalo flavor and a slight vinegar kick to them. Even better, for .25 a wing it competes or beats the flavor of Buffalo Wild wings and Pizza Hut. The sandwiches were good as well. My buddy had the BLT with sweet potato fries which he loved so much he had me try them. While not a sweet potato fan, I will tell you they tasted good. I had the Capone with Italian meats on it. Although it was slightly soggy, it was still very good. (The sog came from the abundance of italian dressings and pickled peppers). What really impressed me about this place is the service. Our server never let our glasses get low and when she wasn't there another server would come and check on our table. The server made it personal by coming by and chatting with us in the mean time and had a great sense of humor. I felt that I've found a place in Salina I could go and feel like I would get great service that doesn't lack in food quality either. Really some of the best wings I have ever had... And I've sampled a lot of them over the years. They smoke and then fry here. That process adds a little flavor, but more importantly it gets rid of a lot of fat on the two bone segments. So you get leaner wings. They aren't skimpy with sauce here either. If you are looking for a sports bar this is a great choice. Our group had chicken wings, chili cheese fries and fish tacos. All of them were tasty. My only complaint? A full bar but no wine.
