Ordered two large pies from Spatola's (a plain and a veggie) and would do it again. Overall, it was a nice experience. The details: - The crust was almost flakey in texture, and on the thinner side. It couldn't hold the veggie specialty (so use those fingers to prop it up), but it more than held its form for the cheese. - Grease was minimal, just a slight glisten on the pie. No dripping on plate at all. - Slightly sweet tomato sauce on each pie, with a nice light seasoning for pleasant flavor. - Adequate topping coverage on the veggie. Not so much that you can't see the pizza, but enough that there's no large bare spots. - Staff was friendly, service speed average, and inside clean. It was a slow night, but Monday is probably slow anywhere, pandemic or not. - Price was reasonable. I'd give it 4/5. Certainly worth a try if you're looking for pizza in the area. read more

I haven't updated in a while so thought I'd do so because I'm not seeing what some others are. 6+ months ago we had our first bad experience in 8 years but after calling, it was taken care of immediately! I'm not talking about a minor issue like a forgotten topping either. Every company has issues but if they handle it well, all is good with me. We have been ordering a lot recently and the woman answering the phone couldn't be nicer. But don't ever call to complain or even try to get an incorrect order corrected. The manager, using that term loosely, Jen has zero customer service skills. She is rude, insulting, and nasty to the customers. She seems to be a very unhappy and miserable person which she will take out on the customers without a second thought. She claims to be 1/3 owner of the establishment. She will single handedly ruin 100% of this business if left in her so called manager position. There are plenty of reviews here citing the rude service, but I had to add one more account to the list. My boyfriend placed an order on GrubHub because the estimated delivery time was between 5:15-5:25 PM. The specific reason he ordered from this place out of the literal dozens of pizza places in our area was because of the delivery time; he had to leave by 6:00, so even if the pizza was 15 minutes late, he'd still have time to eat a slice or two and head out. Needless to say, the pizza never showed. He leaves, without eating, because he has somewhere to be. I decide to call and see what is going on. The woman who answers the phone is immediately rude and acting like I'm being absolutely ridiculous for wanting to know where my pizza that is almost an hour late is. She says that they're completely slammed and she has 30 orders hanging up and oh it's a Friday night and pretty much every excuse in the book, which let me be very clear - I get it. I worked in restaurants for a long time, I know how it goes. My complaint isn't that it's taking this long, but that you quoted a time frame and were drastically over it. She says that I was expecting them to "perform miracles" for delivering a single pizza and salad less than an hour late. She then puts me on hold to check and make sure the driver has my order, so at least she did that much. I mean, listen. I understand places get busy and shit happens. But you don't get to treat your customers like shit because they get upset when you fail to deliver on a level of service you promised. This is by far the worst pizza place in terms of rude customer service and terrible delivery. The actual food was ok at best. The driver did not have any change for a 22 dollar order. Because of this we could only give a couple dollars. The manager calls us to yell about giving a little tip. Excuse me. How rude. Me and my mom have lived in lansdale for 6 years we usually go to Main Street until we heard about this place. Was really good at first until tonight 1. I am pregnant I need my meat to be cooked throughly which we told them... but my burger came with a red middle 2. The burger also came with a heap of mayonnaise which we did not ask for and they forgot are drink. My friends and I used to hang out here in high school when it was Garibaldi's. Yesterday I went to Spatola's with one of those old friends, and it pretty much looks the same as it did back then. Our server Roblyn was super friendly and attentive. We ordered a large pizza and my friend wanted extra cheese on it. I don't usually ask for that, and it was super duper cheesy. It sort of ruined it for me because it was just overwhelming. But, that's what we asked for, so I can't blame the restaurant for that. I sort of wish there was more of a crust, but that's not a deal breaker. I still sort of prefer Guiseppe's around the corner, but at either place, you'll get excellent pizza and service. read more

Spatola's of Lansdale is a really great place to eat. My girlfriend and I live right around the corner and we always find ourselves comparing other places we are considering to Spatola's. Most of the time, we realize the value we are getting at Spatola's and just how great the food is, so we just go there. Definitely check it out. I recommend the Chicken parm with Penne pasta, all done in Pink Vodka sauce. It's not on the menu, but it's delicious and they'll make it for you. read more

I use Spatola's almost exclusively for business. I often need to have lunches catered and, on the rare occasion, with only a few hours notice. This place cannot be beat. They keep all my info on file, the receipt is itemized, and they always are on time and in the right place. Having a meal catered with them is so incredibly simple: you pick a protein (chicken marsala, florentine, alfredo, a la vodka, limone, cacciatore, or scampi) a pasta (penne, spaghetti, linguine, etc.), and it comes with salad and garlic knots for about $110 (full tray; will feed up to 14. Half trays are $55 and feed about 7). They also have sandwich and cheesesteak trays, lasagnas, salads by the tray, and can make anything from the menu into a catering platter. So, from a B2B point of view, they are a pretty great place to do business. They also accept AMEX. read more

I selected my pick up time on line for 2:40 PM. I placed my order. An hour later I get a call asking where I am and why haven't picked up my food. This is a great find at a terrific price. Two of us had salads, one had a calzone. The salads were generous with some really terrific balsamic salad dressing. Got a pizza and cheese steak and while not the best that I have ever eaten, it is much better than any pizza I have had in the Lansdale area. This is the new go to for me when it comes to pizza around Lansdale. Had one issue when ordering on Yelp's mobile app where I ordered a cheese steak and fries from them but when the order was sent to them it said nothing about fries because it is an add on item and was not delivered fries. This is one of the places my parents frequent often and take me to when I am hope visiting. The whole restaurant is very basic with decorations that kind of remind you of your grandmother's house. The pizza here is good, not great, but good - stay away from the salads and the veggie grinder. The one item that was a hit was the Stromboli - the sauce was excellent, the dough tasty and the cheeses and other fillings were perfect. Their policy is BYOB, so bring whatever you like. All in all, I'm not going to kick and scream if my parents take me here (if I can get the Stromboli) but I'm not going to suggest it either. read more

So here's the deal with these guys - it is good food. Much of their staff on site is accommodating and nice. Very solid atmosphere, it's above average for a local pizza place by and large. But I do want to share my experience today. A driver of there's (red haired woman) scolded me for ordering delivery from them. I hate to do this for a one-off occurrence for one crummy employee, but she really rubbed me the wrong way. I work from home most Fridays and enjoy ordering one breakfast and lunch from Grubhub, so that can get it while I work in the mornings and afternoon. The woman scolded me from ordering online, and said that I was taking time away from other deliveries that cost, and therefore tip, more. She asked me not to order delivery from Spatola's again, walking away calling it "food for thought". Again, this is on a Friday morning. I understand that gas is something to keep in mind but if you are unwilling to make anything but the most lucrative deliveries, don't work as a delivery driver. I called the restaurant to lodge a complaint with her and the manager, who listened and was very understanding especially since I am a repeat customer, said it would be handled. I hate to sorta "punish" the whole establishment by giving a negative review like this, and I hope people read this and don't just single out the rating, but that driver was a representative of the restaurant and I do hope that no one else has to hear that kind of talk from her. Open for breakfast! The info on Yelp says open at 10:30, but now it is open at 7:00am. I wasn't sure about breakfast at a pizza place, but it was done very well. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had the Greek omelette with home fries and whole wheat toast. The homefries were perfectly done, crisp and brown on the outside, and creamy on the inside. The toast was perfectly browned. The omelette was delicious with generous fillings, but just a little shy on the feta cheese. The waitress was back several times to refill my tea with hot water, and brought my bill promptly. This review is just for the pizza, which I love! Not a ton of crust, not a ton of sauce, not a ton of cheese (but definitely enough that I'd never order extra cheese). And it's tasty! They have some good specialty pizzas as well. I'm not a fan of the blackened bottom crust or thick crust or overly greasy pizzas that a lot of places serve. The service is great - they've thrown in free sodas a few times, and once the owner delivered our sandwiches and brought a few slices for us. There are a ton of pizza places in the area but we always choose Spatola's for our pizza. I do like their other food but pizza is really what they do best. read more

After getting tired of the poor customer service at my last pizza place, I downloaded the "slice" app and decided to try other local pizzerias for our family's weekly pizza night. I enjoyed the taste of the pizza at Spatola's so much that I started ordering from here weekly. Last week, the owner of the restaurant himself delivered our pizza and told me who he was. And the food was cooked to order. 2 of us had Chicken Francaise and one had Penne pasta with vodka cream sauce. All were very good and great portions! enough to take home for leftovers! Horrible! My work orders here for lunch and my order has NEVER been correct. Several colleagues have had issues with their orders and service. I have ordered the chicken panini and asked for cheese on it instead of mayo. I got mayo AND cheese whiz.
