I dropped my pieces off and he promised it within two weeks. Much to my surprise, I got a message less than a week later that the work was done! Since it was a gift for my wife, I took her with me to see the finished products, and she was thrilled! I hope the adhesive was at least archival acid free. I brought a piece of art here a few years ago and didn't get the kind of glass I asked for, but it wasn't a huge deal, so I kept it as-is. I decided to give them another chance because I figured that was a misunderstanding and I like to shop small/local. I took an original watercolor to be float mounted and when I got it back it was just matted traditionally. I know he understood what I wanted when I dropped it off, because he told me how he was going to use spacers to keep the art from touching the glass, so it wasn't just a misunderstanding this time. Two chances is enough for me so I took it elsewhere to have it fixed. They opened it up right in front of me and there was my expensive original artwork, spray mounted to foam board. Time will tell if it starts to yellow and discolor. So upset and disappointed about all of this.
