The whole arrangement was handled peacefully and with dignity. Special shout out to the drivers who picked up our loved one, again with professionalism and decorum. Business was conducted honestly and competently. Only knock is their out-of-date office management, had to wait for forms to be printed out, etc.

After having two recent deaths in the family, we turned to Senko once again and I could not be more upset over how my family was treated. There were up charges for no reason, the bathroom was dirty, staff was late, the casket hadn't been properly prepped before just started to arrive, no ambient music was put on, there were tools visible underneath the casket. Because they would not accommodate a morning burial for whatever reason it cost my family an extra day in the city, more plane fare another day of rental car and another night of a hotel room. They were then late to the burial, and the person doing the prayers didn't even know them by heart. As far as the other death in the family which was a cremation, there was a delay in getting the cremains because they misspelled the name on the plaque. Trying to get a hold of the owner after the fact to discuss the matter was impossible and we were given the runaround by staff by phone for several days. Utterly disappointed.

When my granddaughter and I arrived at Arthur's from Dallas, TX the next day, I knew immediately that we were at the right place. Alan, and Arthur Dybaniwski, went far beyond the call of duty to assist us at a time when we were overcome with grief and desperate for support and assistance. From working with the medical examiner to get her death certificate in 48 hours, to sending a courier to pick up the documents, to guiding us through the surrogate's court requirements, to her cremation just a few days later, they compassionately served our all needs. I was especially grateful that Alan told me about the documents needed to go through security with her ashes. I rarely write reviews but I absolutely had to wirte this one!

Arthur and his assistant director Alan were incredibly professional and caring from start to finish. Every time we would start to ask about something, they would say that they've already taken care of it. Just amazing experience. Highly recommended for anyone in need. And honestly, I could could go on and on about how caring and compassionate they were in our time of need, but you get the idea...call them, they'll take care of you and your loved ones.

Then in 2019 when my uncle passed we went back thinking we'd get the same quality service we received before, boy was I wrong. The moment we walked in we were met by pure ratchetness. Dudes that looked like they belong elsewhere eating wings and a so called funeral director (not the same one I dealt with in 2013) just as ghetto. No tact no empathy. I requested a change of casket since the one my cousin chose wasn't up to par and I was told it couldn't be done bc allegedly the body was already in the casket which I suspect wasn't true. Finally the morning of the burial they were over an hour late to pick him up and go to the cemetery. No reason given just kept telling us they were on the way. Unless this place has changed management and staff in the last 7yrs I would not use this place. I'd rate them no stars but that's not possible.

From the start they were compassionate, gentle and kind. There was no attempt made to upsell their services. They quickly took possession of my brother before I arrived in New York and it was a comfort to my family that he was no longer in the city morgue while I flew out to NY. They made the entire process of his wake and cremation as simple and gentle as possible. Mr. Lee was the one who prepared my brother for viewing. Mr. Lee is an artistic genius, due to throat cancer my brother did not look as he once did but Mr. Lee worked a miracle and despite the circumstances of his death my brother looked as if he had just settled down for a nap on my sofa. I half expected his ankles to be crossed as was his habit in life. While searching for a funeral home I found out that the one my family traditionally used was having legal issues over quality and was forced to look elsewhere to arrange funeral services. I'd contacted several funeral homes before deciding to go with FAS due to their location and was surprised to find that they were the least expensive out of all the funeral homes I'd contacted. They were budget friendly without being skimpy. Located in an area with several funeral homes, they are small, not so flashy and easily overlooked but they provide wonderful service and are kind and compassionate. I highly recommend them and will use them again should the need arise.

Our daughter unexpectedly passed away and upon my first contact with the funeral director Sept it was like no other calls mattered. Sept from the first call made us feel comfortable ( a warm hug kind of comfort). Once we decided to go with Ivy Cremations, it was constant communication, whether it was calls or via text. We did not communicate via emails which was greatly appreciated and was not an option for us. That was a big plus as communication was consistent. We met Alex tonset up the final arrangements and that interation was pleasant and due to prvios patrons we were not able to bring food, but light refreshments and finger foods were allowed. The day of, which was Monday. From the limo driver Larry, who was early and waited for everyone, and opened each individual door. GREAT JOB LARRY: GOING AND RETURN. The place was clean, set up well. Nicole welcomed us and assisted where needed. Everything on Monday was perfect, accomodating and thoughtful. We cleaned up the entire venue which Nicole was so happy to express this was a first for her...lol Samantha the billing/invoice department was also availa le via text.
