Service is a joke, Called 3 times and each time the staff initially put us hold then hung up..

Service was absolutely terrible. I understand being extremely shorthanded and busy, but the staff there have terrible communication between each other and customers. They were talking about murdering each other and throwing bread sticks in the others faces if the lady burnt another order. We had already paid at 5:30pm and waited almost 2hours (722pm). We get home in Troutdale and our pizza is completely burnt top and bottom. Bread sticks not done enough almost too doughy. We called to see if they would refund our money back, but told they would only give us a free pizza next time. We asked to speak to a manager and the girl on phone said her manager would say the same thing. They would not give money back. So we called the Sparkys in Damascus Oregon and they were more than helpful Lizzy said she would show our pictures of pizza to her manager and have them call the Sandy Oregon location and get this resolved. We will not go back to the Sandy location ever again or until they get people that are more professional. The guy with green hair was so upset after someone called in to order and take too long to say they don't want the pizza, that he was stomping up and down and yelling throwing a complete fit. Absolutely absurd!!! Absolutely will NOT GO BACK!!! read more

I have always had great service and amazing food at Sparky's. Unfortunitly, I must have met the owner today. He was dismissive, nonverbal and lingered two seperate times as I attempted to enter the business... its too bad he chose to behavior that way. He could learn a lot from the younger employees read more

Generally go to Flying Pie for my gluten free pizza. The website for Sparkys says they make their gf crust in house. They're not made on premises, but brought in. They are fairly good, not great For $18 you get 10 inch gf pizza. Apparently you can pick any specialty pizza and gf it We had the Greek veggie. Garlic ranch sauce, artichoke hearts, olives, feta cheese and pepperoncini Reasonable amount of toppings. Needed more sauce. Biggest issue was the sloppy preparation. Had three pepperoncini rinds as well as another with the full stem attached. Not great Service was friendly read more

Sparky's Pizza - Sandy - gluten free Greek Vegi. 10". $18 - Pizza Near Me - Sandy, Oregon

Pizza was okay but the bread and toppings were undercooked. There was a little too many raw onion and peppers on the Midtown pizza, good amount of pineapple on the Hawaiian. Breadsticks barely had any garlic but we're still good. Marinara sauce is not included with breadsticks and is and extra ¢35 extra charge. Our food was ready when we arrived to pick up. Place looks nice and is a popular local spot. read more

One of the few places open after 9 pm in the pass. Young servers were very friendly and tolerated my call-in order that suffered from terrible phone service. They have a good selection of pizzas for a good price, and serve pizza by the slice until 4 pm or so. We were informed of the Monday special, 1 topping for $12. We got this and chose the classic: pepperoni. They are only doing takeout now due to COVID (probably delivery too). We got our pizza and sat at the 1 table in front. It was a pleasant night and we felt safe eating at night here. The pizza had a thick fluffy crust reminiscent of fresh baked "french" bread at the grocery store. The cheese was thick and gooey. The pepperoni thick cut and amply supplied. We really enjoyed this pizza. We would love to try their special combo pizzas in the future and think this is a great local pizza joint offering variety, good quick service, quality thick pizzas and a good price point. read more

Very lightweight pizza ......it was cold when I picked it up and was sitting on top of the oven and no I wasn't late Also had Very little flavor. It was better than a frozen pizza as far as freshness and texture of the dough .....but that is all I can say for it We have even had pizza from Walmart that were 10 times better and 1\3 the cost Pizza at Costco is better than this BUT they have what 5 or 6 locations so I guess they're are a lot of people that like them....maybe I just got a bad one .don't know and I'm not going to bother finding out ONCE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR ME THANKS read more

I appreciated that I could ask for well done on the app, and it was well done. However the pepperoni was not spicy at all and the Parmesan breadsticks were bland. Very disappointing read more

Previously, I have had decent experiences at Sparky's. Came in on Monday, June 5, 2023 around 230/3pm for a quick slice snack before my drive in Portland. They have a slice special every Monday: about $2.25/$2.75 for a slice versus the $5.25 it normally is for a single slice. I'm a traditional pepperoni fan (with red pepper flakes and Parm chz over the top). There were 3 high school age/early 20s girls working. The ONLY choices on the entire pizza hotlight bar was 3 slices of Hawaiian (which I enjoy as well, but I wasn't feeling at the moment). It wasn't even dinner time yet. I asked when the next slices would be ready since it was the special that day, specifically asked if they have any "basic" pizza slices coming out like Cheese, Pepperoni, or sausage. The THREE workers who were standing at the counter on their phones said no more pizza was being made and this is what they had: 3 slices of Hawaiian at 230/3pm... additionally I'm of the idea that if you have time to lean you have time to clean and looking behind the counter there was PLENTY to sweep and counters to wipe up.... Lazy girls. Needless to say the customer service sucked and the work ethic of the girls was pathetic. They have decent pizza, but the atmosphere and customer service was so disappointing. There's TWO other pizza joints in Sandy, one is right across the street practically from Sparky's, and we will be checking those out more frequently than Sparky's because of this experience. read more

The family and I went up to Mt Hood for a night time hike in the snow around Trillium Lake. After 5 miles in the snow and driving back to Portland, we were HUNGRY!!! Not alot of options after 9 pm in Sandy OR but lucky enough to discuss this gem. Ordered their XL combo pizza with everything on it. We were not disappointed as the pizza was fresh, big and delicious. A great crust, not too thick and not too thin. Delicious sauce too. Service was great too. I would highly recommend this place for great value and delicious pizza. read more

Very disappointed. Ordered The Chicago pizza & asked to add minced garlic and salami. When we got it it had no Italian sausage that was already suppose to be on it the pizza was completely wet & soggy (not grease) underneath enough to leak through the box. Looks like they scooped minced garlic and instead of draining just plopped it directly in the center of pizza. I've heard great things about this pizza place & was excited to try. But extremely disappointed read more

Sparky's Pizza - Sandy - Super soggy crust NOT GREASE - Pizza Near Me - Sandy, Oregon

Not too happy with this location. I am giving it a two star because I didn't get to have any food but the other Sparky's do have pretty decent pizza. I am not happy because their website, yelp page and even the hours on the door say they are open to 11:00pm on Saturday. We were on the way back to Portland from fishing on the Deschutes and we were starving. We decided to wait until Sandy because this place showed as being open to 11:00PM (and we really wanted pizza). We get there and the door is locked, uggggh! The employee came to the door asking if I left anything behind and I said no, we wanted food and asked how come they are closed. He said they close at 10:00 and when I brought up the website, Yelp and even the door sign state they are open until 11:00, he just said he knew it showed 11 but they close at 10:00. Sparky's: COULD YOU CHANGE AT LEAST ONE OF THE PLACES WHERE THE HOURS ARE STATED SO PEOPLE WILL QUESTION THE TIMES INSTEAD OF BEING DEAD SURE YOU CLOSE AT 11:00 BECAUSE OF POSTED HOURS? read more

My review was going to be about my experience and let the reader go from there. However, after reading so may reviews of people who liked this place I have to revise my thoughts on my review. This pizza was horrible. It was run by high school kids which was fine and I don't think had anything to do with the quality of the pizza. Maybe they needed better training or provided the correct materials to construct a decent pizza. The pizza was so thin and piping hot (hot pizza is good, ah something good for me to say) when it was brought to us that all the cheese slid right off. There was nothing to stabilize the cheese on this extremely thin crust. There was so much cheese that as it cooled we basically had a block of cheese on a super thin crust (I can't seem to get over how thin the crust really was). They must have used maybe 1/4 cup of sauce on the entire large pizza. So in essence we received cheesy crust. I requested extra sauce which came from the fridge so now I had hot pizza with cold sauce. The flavor wasn't bad (my son would disagree) but thin pizza shouldn't be tissue paper thin, it needs more sauce and little less cheese. read more

Got a slice and it gave me the worst stomach ache ever! I was feeling like crap all night. Throwing up and diarrhea. Never again. Killed my whole night and I couldn't sleep. Gave me the worst chills too. read more

Not bad at all, super generous with the cheese and I enjoyed it quite a lot. Also generous with toppings, and their roasted garlic is fucking fire. I've had better, but I wouldn't turn down going there again. I would like more flavor and punch in the sauce though. Their customer service was fantastic though, kitchen looked well kept and and they make a solid pie. read more

This place is a bait and switch RIPOFF SCAM. I am new to Sandy and wanted to buy my roommate and I dinner. I googled pizza in Sandy and Sparky's came up first. I tapped the link for THEIR website and chose a pizza from THEIR MENU. When I called to order; I double checked the price and was told they were going to charge me $18.99 for the pizza that was listed for $10.99 on THEIR WEBSITE. When I attempted to clarify the price discrepancy; the snotty clerk informed me that google had the wrong prices. In the first place: I was on THEIR WEBSITE not google. And secondly, they post their menu to google; not the other way around. This is a cLassic case of bait and switch. And, their employees are fully aware and complicit in carrying out the ripoff. DO NOT PATRONIZE THESE THIEVES. read more

This joint has possibly some of the best pizza in the area. Fresh-greasy (in a good way), and no frills. For a split second you feel like you're in NY. But I wish they'd bring back their soda fountain! Bottled soda doesn't work with a hot slice of pie. read more

The best pie we have had here is the Chicago. The Italian sausage has an amazing flavor. We would like it better if the pieces of sausage were cut up into smaller pieces. They are huge chunks. We tried the Taco pizza and it was a watery mushy mess. Cannot recommend the Taco. Quality is very inconsistent at this location. Sometimes the pizza is cooked well, sometimes it is burnt, and many times it is undercooked. The slices are always cut ina strange way and not sliced through all the way. So we have to re cut the pies every time. read more

We stopped here again after not having been here for a while. Craving pizza on the way down from Mt hood. I read several other not so great reviews....I dont get it. We will keep coming back. read more

Had the Manhattan combo to go. Place was busy, took 10 mins longer then they quoted. However I must say that was the best pizza I've ever had from Sparkys. Insanely disappointed the food was not good and mediocre at best. The pepperoni pizza was very greasy and the breadsticks were as hard as a rock. Not to mention the rude worker helping me with my order I think her name was Sage she was a big ass bitch and I hope she gets fired. As a loyal customer of 20 years I would expect some respect among the workers but no I was disrespected many times by this Sage girl and I'm not sure I feel comfortable coming back to this hell hole! read more

Being a Sandy Oregon resident for over 35 years I remember when it first opened. At the time we were dining at another pizzeria north and across Procter (haven't been there since). But I needed eight pizzas for a party and only Sparky's would guarantee the order. The party was great, everybody liked the pizza and took some home, it was a good day. And every month or so since I order a Sparky's "Manhattan" with no bell peppers but instead lots of pepperoncini peppers and artichoke hearts. read more

We were headed back from Sunriver to Washington and decided to check yelp for a good pizza place. This came up. We called our order in 20 minutes ahead of time so it would be re ready when we got there. When we got there we found a very small, cramped, area to actually sit down. I think this is more of a to go place as there are only 3 or 4 tables and a small bar/sitting type area. The 8 of us couldn't sit together and had to jockey around to get to the pizza. The pizza we ordered was just ok. It was a bit on the greasy side and they forgot to put an ingredient on it that we asked for. When I brought it up to the gal working she didnt look like she gave a rats patootie. Didn't offer to add or fix the problem. It was 38 for two medium pizzas and 3 pops. They did have it ready when we got there and it was better than Mcdonalds. Meh. read more

Disapointing at best. Lack of effort or pride in the craft. The pictures say it all, what we thought we were getting vs. what we got. The crust was undercooked, missing topping 2 inches from then crust and well toppings... supposed to have rosted garlic and didn't, a minimal amount of mushrooms and cheap cheese. Really a sad pizza. Also ordered hot wings which weren't bad and they ended up being the only thing we ate but not great either, farily geriatric. I wounder if it was just the weekend staff and will try again but disappointed especially for the price. read more

I realllly want to give this more stars. Maybe I don't give stars lightly :) The schticks were amazing. I'll dream of them until someday we drive through and try them again. The pizza was really good, but pretty greasy overall -a bit of a disappointment. We ended up taking the toppings off and eating them that way since the crust was really just so cheesy and saucy it wouldn't hold the toppings. The service was poor. The tables were caked with nasty old food - so we asked for it to be wiped down. After they didn't come to wipe it down, I asked for a rag so I could wipe it down myself - still nothing. We resorted to piles of napkins doused in water from the soda machine and a local who came in to order pizza handed us a pack of baby wipes - she confirmed, the young people that worked there made decent pizza for the small town, but that the service left a lot to be desired. Thank you stranger lady for the baby wipes! Also, ordered the Greek salad - steer clear - the feta may have been rotten, the sour, turned milk taste was unmistakeable in my favorite cheese! The lettuce was wilted and there were several slimy pieces. read more

This place use to be great. Now it is ran horribly, the pizza is made by individuals who clearly do not care. When waiting for my pizza to be done the employees were discussing their restroom habits and one person was handling money, and then food without washing hands. Had an awful experience, tried many times to reach a manager(although the were always "gone") and all the employees said was I would get a call back...it has been 3 days. Under cooked pizza and greasy to the point it soaked through the box before I got home 10 minutes later. It is a shame that this place is no longer good. It use to be a standard pizza spot for birthdays or family gatherings. Not anymore. read more

When I hear sparky I think of my stupid grandsons dog. The little super pooper machine drops little sausages all over my fake lawn; which I highly recommend because you don't have to cut it as often.
