Ultimately, the other electrician gave me a better quote and was clearly more interested in getting the job, so I hired them instead. I still never ended up hearing back from Corey. Take that for what you will.

I saw that their company only had one review on here that seemed very biased and from a past…read moredisgruntled employee. So I wanted to make a point to give them an honest review. I had called around to try and get the best price on a smart doorbell and chime installation. Their price seemed the most competitive at what they were offering. So I went with them. New Years Day, a couple of guys show up on time and ready to work. They get started and immediately I was a little worried. One of the gentlemen(the lead on the job) asked about running wire through the crawl space and told me he needed access. However Kevin(the gentlemen who came out and priced it out a couple weeks earlier) said it was easiest to go through the attic. So I mentioned this to the gentlemen at install and he seemed puzzled but then agreed that the attic would work fine too. Carrying on they took quite a while finding the wire in the wall for the front doorbell install, at least an hour and a half of their 4.5 hours spent at my house was just finding this front wire. Fast forward to when he is installing the chime he placed it in the wall and you can hear a very faint buzzing noise coming from it. Immediately he realizes that is not how it's suppose to sound. So he looks to me and says that he recommends taking the chime back and installing one myself. I was not very pleased with this which I think he saw on my face. He then says he has an extra chime in his truck that he can try. He comes back from the truck with no chime and tells me he thinks he knows what the problem is. So he spends another half hour to forty five minutes and fixes the buzzing noise. I asked him what it ended up being the issue and he responded "It was wired wrong". All said and done he has me sign a sheet with the price of install, then carries on. I look at both areas of installation and notice the wall where they installed the chime is completely tattered with what looks like little marks where they were hammering to find the best location for the chime. I also look outside to the smart doorbell and notice my paint is chipped. So now, I have to pay to fill in all of those holes and repaint the wall(picture provided) and touch up the outdoor trim(picture provided). If it weren't for how friendly the lead was, I may have asked them to cancel installation and went with another company. I am giving them 3 stars due to their friendliness and success at getting the chime and doorbell installed. The process did not feel like a professional install, but more or less like I asked a neighbor who was somewhat familiar with the job to come give me a hand. I most likely won't go back to this company, unless I am given an incredible deal.

We we're VERY unhappy with the horrible service we got from B&D electric! We called them because 1…read morebedroom had lost most of its power. 2 supposed electricians came out and while checking to see if it was just a chain reaction caused by a bad socket, they were offered an adjoining bedroom socket to also check 3 times, but refused to check it. They came back days later and after putting a small hole in the wall they decided to check that adjoining bedroom socket and lo and behold it had a loose wire and was the minor issue to totally fix the prob. They charged $500 for a 10 min prob which as electricians they should have thoroughly knew to check the first time! I totally question their knowledge in this field due to this. Also, they left a big mess, didn't wear boot gloves to prevent tracking mud in, and the totally worst part is that when 1 of them had the bed pulled out to check a socket behind it, the other guy laid his sweaty body across the top of our bed to watch! There is no way ever I'd recommend this company, even to my worst enemy, aye!

Tom A. came out early the next day and using a camera found the source of the problem...and more. Not only was the pipe clogged but there was a break at the juncture with the city's line. Tom was marvelous working with the city and was able to assure us quickly that all would be taken care of. Within one day, the excavating in the street was done, new pipe put in, and road repaired. And it turned out to be a bit tricky given the location of the pipe. All at a reasonable price for the amount of work. Tom will take care of your sewer or drain problem for you quickly and you'll be able to rest easy knowing that you are in capable hands. Competence and trustworthiness can't be beat.

I moved into a 1960s-70s home and soon had a basement main drain clog. I chose Allen's Plumbing based on their high ratings. They arrived on time but immediately began criticizing my real estate agent and home inspector, boasting about decades of experience. He spent less than 30 minutes with a snake, claimed it could not go past 50 ft, and pulled out only a small amount of debris and fine roots--about the size of a fist--yet dramatically acted as if my sewer was severely damaged. On-site, he pressured me to call my agent, rudely criticized them over the phone, and claimed I had only two options: dig up the basement or the yard, costing about $5,000. He insisted the pipe was broken and needed replacing, and charged $265 for the day's "work." He then called in another company with a camera (Kowski's Sewer Service), quoting another $250. This second company was equally unprofessional, failed to locate the blockage, and suggested I check with insurance about replacement. They also damaged my drain plug and left a filthy mess. The next day, through my teacher's contact, I hired another plumber--professional, clean, and determined. He used a snake to go 100 ft, removed a long arm's-length mass of debris, and found the real culprit: a clump of wet wipes. Problem solved without any pipe replacement. Clearly, my pipe was not broken. Allen's Plumbing exploits customers' lack of technical knowledge to push unnecessary major repairs. This is unprofessional and shameful. Businesses like this will not last long. I will continue to post reviews and file complaints on other platforms to warn others and prevent more people from being deceived and losing their money.

There was no sense of being pushed or manipulated. From our research before the meetings we had a number of questions as to various options and they were all answered clearly and in as much detail as we needed. It was also clear that the company was committed to furthering the growth of solar in its own right, not just to further their sales, which matched our own values as well. In fact, there were some parts of their service (such as monitoring the system) which were included at no additional charge while other companies were going to charge a fee. Once we committed to their proposal for a ground-mounted array, which was our preference as well, things went very smoothly. They gave us a clear overview of how the process would go and someone was always available whenever we had questions. We have dealt with several different people over time and not one has been less than completely helpful and invariably friendly. Shortly before the first day of installation there was a problem getting the exact panels that had been quoted. Absolute Solar arranged substitute panels which were a slightly higher grade at no additional cost. We even got a little bump in productivity as a result! The installation itself went off without a hitch and on schedule (or if there was one then they just fixed it and we never knew about it). When the final approval came through from Consumers Energy we literally flipped a switch and we were in business. It has now been over a year and a half and the benefits have been very clear from the start. Our first three months bills decreased by a total of $400. Now,18 months later, we have not paid an electric bill in over a year and still have well over $300 in credit to get us through the rest of the winter to the more productive months when we can accumulate credit again. We will be converting our remaining gas appliances--particularly the stove--to electric over time for more savings and there even is enough of a "cushion" for an electric vehicle in the near future. We have been thrilled with our new situation and look forward to the continued benefits of going solar! We are equally certain that Absolute Solar will be there for us whenever we have a question or concern.
