We we're VERY unhappy with the horrible service we got from B&D electric! We called them because 1…read morebedroom had lost most of its power. 2 supposed electricians came out and while checking to see if it was just a chain reaction caused by a bad socket, they were offered an adjoining bedroom socket to also check 3 times, but refused to check it. They said we'd instead need to rewire the whole bedroom where by they hoped they would then locate the problem on a second visit. They came back days later and after putting a small hole in the wall they decided to check that adjoining bedroom socket and lo and behold it had a loose wire and was the minor issue to totally fix the prob. They charged $500 for a 10 min prob which as electricians they should have thoroughly knew to check the first time! I totally question their knowledge in this field due to this. Also, they left a big mess, didn't wear boot gloves to prevent tracking mud in, and the totally worst part is that when 1 of them had the bed pulled out to check a socket behind it, the other guy laid his sweaty body across the top of our bed to watch! There is no way ever I'd recommend this company, even to my worst enemy, aye!

First I paid for a new Furnace, AC unit, and tankless water heater. After the install I found out instead of installing the SER 16.2 I paid for they installed a 15.4 instead at my house. Both my father and I were told we had sign up for the service contract and that they would service our equipment for free. In the beginning it seemed like a great deal. I also had my water main break and that was all this initial call was for. I was able to fix the main break on my own and did not need the service. It took Whitney so long that they had already installed the AC and furnace but not fixed the water. When I told Matt I didn't need he stated he had all his profit wrapped in that portion and that I would need to pay another 4k... My father had an AC and Furnace. They did not give him the de-humidifier he paid for because the install tech had a dull drill bit and inadequate tools, it took him 4+ hours to drill through the wall. My father offered a better bit and drill, the employee refused. SO he did not get what he paid for either. Fast forward to the after the first winter and my fathers AC is not working. WHiteny comes out and tells him he has a leak, service plan expired (even though they never came out for wither of us) and he would need to pay them. He then called the office and spoke with the office manager who stated he would not have to pay. Later I call I have to my service completed that I paid for at install (more than $4350 after the additional extorted $4000. ) just to find out my service plan expired and I also will need to pay after they completed the service, not before. I call the manager explain the situation let them know I am not going to pay, they say that's totally understandable, the AC unit should not be leaking when barely a year old. THIS WHOLE TIME THEY BILL ME FOR EVERYTHING. My dads service, mine, just everything. I call ask them for the 10th time to straighten out our accounts, explained again the entire situation to Margot. She says she will fix it, and talk with the higher ups and get this resolved. Instead she then Billed my father for services from MY house and his house! This company is hot pile of crap and is the biggest mess I have ever seen. If they continue to harass us over their fraudulent charges and business practices, we will see them in court. You sold me a 16.2 and installed a 15.4 thinking you were slick. You lied about your service plan, and over charges customers because your employees had poor tolls and improper equipment (Install tech tried to drill through a 12" wall with a dull bit and dead right angle battery drill). They pulled the permit and did not schedule the inspection with the city . A year later and the OWNER Robert West has the worse customer service . NASTY ! How can you do a service and not complete it then get upset with the customer and STILL didn't book the inspection with the city . For his actions in this situation it cause fines with the city code department as well having to get corrections done by ANOTHER electric company . DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! I had a dedicated outlet for my sump pump installed by them at the end of…read morelast year. Because my house is a rental, I had to have the work permitted by the City of Lansing. When the City electrician came to inspect their work, they found multiple violations, including that the outlet was not dedicated, but instead connected to the same breaker as my fridge. The City electrician explained to me that if we had a bad storm and my sump pump got overloaded and killed the breaker, not only would my basement take on water but my fridge would go out and my food would go bad. National Electric NEVER told me they hooked my outlet up to the same breaker as my fridge; I paid them for a dedicated outlet I never received. The City electrician sent them the violations and told me they should reach out to me to correct them. Instead, I've been calling and emailing them for months and they conveniently say they will call me back or don't answer. They have never corrected the issues. Don't trust that the work they've said they've done is actually the work they've done.
