Marina Paddle Fit rocks year round! I love paddleboarding with Lisa and all of the Marina Paddlefit family all summer. The paddlefit classes are a blast and a great break from the ordinary. The paddle boards are very stable so anyone can take her classes and be successful. Lisa's TRX classes are a phenomenal workout all year round and I have seen results quickly. She is great at modifying her workouts to suit all fitness levels. There has been no wear and tear on my joints and the best part is...NO BURPIES!!! Anyone can do Lisa's classes on or off the water. I just took Lisa's stand-up paddle board fitness class at the Sparks Marina! Wow! What a beautiful way to start the day! I love being outside and any excuse to get me near the water is heaven. It was a perfectly glassy morning on the water. Lisa made the class really fun! She has great energy and it's contagious! I am not a fan of going to the gym and running on a treadmill so i LOVE doing activities that are athletic and challenging but are so much fun that you forget you're working out! Lisa is an excellent instructor with great energy and enthusiasm. She's a champion paddle board racer, so I felt like I was in good hands. She made sure that I was comfortable on the paddle board and led me through exercises to check my balance and form. She even took photos and videos to make sure I remember her tips after the lesson. Lisa makes sure that you understand the basics before letting you off the board and has the patience of a saint. My family & I live in Las Vegas, but I have been working the last several months in the Sparks area, so I'm staying up here in a rental, & I am constantly exploring the area for a future home & for great restaurants & activities. I decided to spend a Saturday morning kayaking on the Sparks Marina, & it was a great time! I was able to get a decent workout by paddling across the marina fast, then relax & enjoy a peaceful row through the housing canals, & over to the dog park to see pups playing in the water, & row over to the beach area, get some sun, & feel the light morning breeze. On top of that, it only cost me $25 for equip rental, & Lisa, the owner, is a cool lady who is a joy to talk with! It was a great start to a Sunday. read more

This is a great way to get out on the water on a hot summer's day and get a good workout . I tried this place out on a Groupon or Living Social deal, and it was well worth it. Lisa was good about giving me some tips and get getting me set-up before I went out on the water. The classes she teach look good, though I can't say that I tried them (I do my own workouts on the board). The night-time paddles on lighted boards look really cool, and I plan on trying that in the future. read more

Just took my second group class with Lisa Gonzalez, owner and certified trainer. She is an amazing instructor, really friendly and excited about the sport. The class increased my confidence on the board by teaching proper paddle strokes, form and weight distribution. Now I can paddle faster, longer and am learning how to do turns like a pro. She also taught us some exercise moves that we can do on the board like planks, squats and yoga, so you get a great workout while having fun! Makes you feel like a rock star! A few of my friends have taken lessons from Lisa so I thought I would give padleboarding a try. I booked a one hour individual lesson and would most definitely recommend others to give it a try. Lisa is very knowlegeable and very patient as I gained more confidence in the water. I went with my daughter, as she had suggested going to Tahoe to paddle-board when she was going to be in town. I suggested we do Sparks Marina (I remembered the deal I had purchased!). I liked the dry land practice before going out on the water. The friendly but efficient attitude (professional) of Lisa G, too. My daughter and I had a super and successful time! I had done a triathlon in the Sparks Marina so knew the water quality was good; Lisa informed us her foray into gleaning information from the City about water quality, and that ratings of the Marina are on a par with Tahoe. I have recently moved from the ocean to landlocked Nevada and was dying to do a SUP Sunday. Paddleboard Fitness with Lisa G, now known as Marina Paddle Fit located in Sparks Marina hit the spot! Parking is easy, you walk in and the space is loaded with equipment. Lisa's energy is contagious and you immediately want to try one of her other fitness classes offered. Check in was easy and I was on the water in a matter of minutes. Brandan and Kaitlyn (our guides) were fantastic, loading the gear down to the water and setting everything up.
