I had an A/C problem that had previously been diagnosed but not repaired. I was worked into the their schedule the first thing the next morning after speaking with them in person. The customer representative made certain that I understood that they would be doing their own assessment. I had considered that a good idea before arriving at Sparks. I did not want to misdirect the mechanics as to the cause of the problem. I was quoted and approximate price and advised what was to be done and what might be some additional costs. The work was completed in a timely manner as I needed my vehicle for an appointment out of town the next day. The customer representative is very knowledgeable of the workings of an automobile and the process the technical staff follow. Sparks Computerized Car Care - Kind of notes I took - Auto Repair Near Me - Bradenton, Florida

I brought my wife's car in to have a headlight bulb replaced and when they did they told me I needed a clip that they would order. The bulb went out in two weeks and when I return then they said I needed a whole new assembly for $1150 After just paying them $340 for that bulb. I believe they should have told me about needing the whole assembly the first time I went in. I was under the assumption that they knew what they were doing but I guess I'm wrong. I would not recommend them to anybody. read more

Been coming here for regular oil changes/maintenance for around a year and a half, almost 2 years. I am very skeptical about auto shops as I have been burned many times in the past. I cannot recommend this place enough. Very fair prices, thorough work. They've helped me with big issues in a pinch. A total joke of a shop gave me a quote of an hours shop time ($149) for literally 4 min to reprogram a dash cluster, the Ford dealer wanted $140 and they're known for being overpriced, i guess Sparks wanted that title. read more

I am writing this review today as a local business owner , ALD LIMO. I have had a fleet account with 10 vehicles for almost 1.5 years. I have spent thousands of dollars at this shop over the past 18 months. Today I had one of my drivers come in for a repair of a fog light after the repair was done I received an email with a 467.00 charge. Once receiving this email I called the owner of the shop * patrick** to get an explanation why there was a repair done over 100.00 without my authorization ( terms of my agreement with this shop stipulate that over 100$ amount repairs have to be authorized ) . Owner replied " I do not need your fucking authorization once your car is in my shop". I found this very disrespectful and upsetting that I was treated this way after spending money at his repair shop for 18 months. Now as a well respected business owner in Sarasota and Bradenton am going to make it a personal priority for all potential clients to his shop to know what type of business owner he is rude,obnoxious,liar. This goes back a while, but disappointing. I went in for a engine miss (1997 Dakota, 2.5)..After the fee for looking at it (that's ok), they said it need plugs, wires, a tune up. For $360.00. So, i went to Autozone, they ran the codes for free. Front Oxygen sensor. I put it on and it ran great. To Sparks, i would have been HAPPY to pay you to do this. You would think for the fee for looking a it, you would run the codes. read more

Great shop very honest had taken truck to Shepard's right next to sparks wanted to charge me $900+ dollars saying they couldn't do alignment without replacing inner outer tie rods. Sparks didn't have to replace nothing said there was no play in tie rods only costed me $140 for alignment thank you. Will be bringing all company vehicles here. read more

Went here for some engine work and the mechanic who worked on my car broke the inside window roller-upper (what is that thing called?!). The father-owner of the shop was a great guy. His son, however, is a raving a**hole. He denied his mechanic broke my window thing and then he said he'd fix it himself after stomping around like an elephant for a while. He then disappeared in the shop with my car and long story short, my car started to have transmission problems shortly thereafter. There is no doubt in my mind that this person purposely did something damaging to my car because his behavior in the shop was really off the wall. He insults customers and doesn't seem interested in repeat business. It is too bad because the location is good (close to the intersection of Cortez/US41 by Lowe's) but the guy is a lunatic. It is too bad the dad was retiring. That guy knew how to do business and treat a customer. read more

stay away from this place the son is running the place now he is noting like the father. back in march 2015 I purchased 4 tires from sparks I also purchased a warranty and side road assistance the tires made in Korea are now disintegrating I took the car back to this not very nice guy and I was told that it was my fault for I did no rotate the tires every 5k miles funny ting is that the tires manufacturer recommend rotating every 10k miles and that what I did this guy is dishonest as they com ,so stay away from this place . read more
